Great place for dinner. Went there for restaurant week
The restaurant week menu was excellent! The steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were outstanding, and the service was great. I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to those mashed potatoes.
Went during Resturant Week. Excellent steak but small in size compared to those on the regular menu.
Came for restaurant week with 6 people, including a 5 yr. and 8 month old kids. Some of the best service I’ve ever received at any restaurant. Very helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be back again!

We knew that this restaurant was quite expensive so chose to go during KC Restaurant Week and select from the special menu. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The meat portions were fairly generous but he sides were small. On the regular menu, everything is ala carte, so you can run up the bill really fast as the sides are pricey. The restaurant was a bit noisy for our taste, but we do like quiet places. The wine list is extensive, but VERY OVERPRICED. There is nothing on the wine list under $50 and most wines are at least $100 or more. The markup on the wines is excessive, compared to other restaurants we frequent. We ended up ordering a bottle of wine that cost $65 at this restaurant and that I know costs $20-25 in a store. It is a good wine and we enjoyed it with our meal. I don’t mind a reasonable mark up for the establishment, but over 100% markup is excessive. They do allow you to bring in your own wine and they will charge a $25 corkage fee. I highly recommend this option-you will save a lot of money! This is an excellent restaurant and has some things on their menu that I don’t find anywhere else. We may return to try a few of the unique items, but for a regular steak dinner, there are other places that are just as good and not nearly as expensive.

The food was great, the steaks are the best. Our waiter, Chris was wonderful. Taking my valet ticket and giving it to the valet was supreme(especially since the temp outside was near zero. Just a great time out with friends!
I feel the wine list is excellent, but markedly over priced. The food for Restaurant week wasn't quite as special as I would have expected from 801 Chophouse---I usually feel their food is exceptional. I also believe their corkage fee is excessive.
We dined during Restaurant Week so we could experience the food. We ordinarily wouldn’t dine there because of high prices. The good was delicious and the waiter was friendly and efficient.
