As usual, food and atmosphere were very good. This time around, the service was a bit better. The value of the Prime Rib and Cheesecake is top notch, you get a lot for what you pay for and very good taste along with it. The Wagyu was very good, melted in the mouth like it was supposed to. Obviously you don’t eat Wagyu for the “Dollar per Ounce” aspect of value, but the experience of having it has a high value itself. Have had it before, will have it again. Buddy of mine had the $25 dollar app credit to top it off, so very good meal all in all. Obviously will be back!
The food was second to none, Great steaks. The AC vent above us was dripping on me the entire meal, and the waiter wasn't very friendly, and rude.
First time and loved it!
Our waitress was amazing.
Great place to go with your wife
Naomi was such an amazing waitress! She made my husbands birthday one to remember! Thank you!
A little pricey but the service was excellent my steak was a little under cooked. Over all it was a great place to eat.
We very much enjoyed our anniversary dinner at 801 Chophouse. The food was excellent and the service was the best. Thank you for making a great memory.
Steak was good, fish was average. Drinks were fantastic but very small. Menu is too overpriced for the portions.
Great anniversary dinner.
Good food as usual. Server seemed a bit disappointed when I didn’t order the $150 steak. Energy and enthusiasm took a lower turn from there. I tipped $40 cash on a $50 meal and that enthusiasm came back as we were saying our goodbyes. A bit annoying in my mind, although understandable, still not enjoyable. Not a criticism of the restaurant, and maybe the waitress was having a rough day, nonetheless something to keep in mind.
Fabulous Anniversary Dinner. Food was amazing and the little touches they added for our celebration was very thoughtful.
Very pricy for the overall experience. I am not convinced I was served an actual dry aged steak which is what I ordered. If price doesn't matter to you I would recommend it.
The night was very enjoyable everyone was very attentive and service was on point! !
Best steakhouse in KC.
Food was great and they were able to accommodate our schedule
This restaurant is top notch for overall service, food and atmosphere! Loved it!
Excellent food! Try the Jalapeno Margarita. It's great
Best steakhouse in the town!!!
Outstanding, won’t be the last time we go. Service and food was incredible.
Service was amazing. Food and Drinks awesome. Will def go back
Vito was terrific
Second time at 801 and possibly better than the first which was awesome! Food and service could not be any better.
Fabulous food and service. Love the quality of food. Fine dining and excellent flavor.
Bone marrow appetizer was amazing. I had the ribeye with a bernaise sauce. Stunning. Wine by the glass selection was a bit lacking but I am a light drinker. The actual wine list is very extensive.
25th wedding anniversary
Always a good choice for upscale dining -- seafood options are well-prepared...for those who don't care for red meat, that it.
Food was great. Waitress wasn’t very welcoming at all. I felt bad because our guest felt the same way and we chose specifically this place for their good hospitality that we usually get. Not sure if she didn’t like the way we look or my accent. Worst experience ever in this place although it used to be my favorite and waters/waitresses used to be really good.
Went here for our anniversary and was not disappointed. Had been several years since we had been here, but it was as great as we remembered it. Great steaks, great wine, great sides, great dessert.
Outstanding in every way. Fun and knowledgeable team.
This place never disappoints! It starts with the pleasant hostess and bartenders when you first walk in. We always ask for Frank to take care of us at the table. He treats us too good. Managers also always care about your dining experience.
We were in town for a softball tournament and checked this place out. Nicholas was our waiter. Everything was a perfect 10. If you like perfection top to bottom I would give this place a shot!
Manager was great too. Even the Valet :)
have fun and enjoy.
The Oysters Rockefeller was the only disappointment. They seemed over cooked and were sweeter than other versions that we have had.
It was great, we wanted a fancy dinner and that is what we got!!
The chairs at this place are disappointing for how long you have to wait to get your food. French fried potatoes also came out as if they’d been sitting for 24 hours, would’ve rather got fries from McDonald’s.
Great server and management follow up!!
Food was excellent
Wife and I were celebrating a special occasion, and have been wanting to visit 801 Chophouse for some time, and I must say that the experience that we had did not disappoint in the slightest.
Rosie was a fantastic server who made great recommendations, and the bartender (I unfortunately cannot remember his name) made one of the best cocktails we've had with the Sway Low. The lambchops, oysters Rockefeller, and mashed potatoes combined to make one of the best meals we've had in several years, and we are definitely looking forward to coming back!
A little pricey. The food is amazing. The staff is courteous and mindful of your every need
I have mixed feelings about 801 Chophouse. The restaurant is nice, quiet and the service was overall good.
I had an unpleasant experience with the wine order. I ordered an expensive bottle of wine after consulting with the sommelier. She told me she had tried that particular wine and that it was outstanding. I ordered the wine, had it decanted and after a short while tasted it. It was terrible. Thinking it might have been a bad bottle I asked the sommelier to taste it. She did and praised it as absolutely wonderful. I disagreed and rejected the wine. I ordered an different wine and it was just ok, not what I would have expected from the well respected producer.
The food was quite good. The steak I ordered was done exactly as I asked but my request for garlic was neglected.
The ambience was good - even a 'first date' quality. But the wine experience tempered my enthusiasm. My impression was that the wines I had tasted were not stored well but that is pure conjecture. That they were not good is definitely true.
