801 Chophouse – Kansas City Ratings and Reviews
We came for a birthday dinner & it also happened to be restaurant week. They surprised us with extra Birthday things (confetti on the table, special birthday menus, a candle in our dessert), we both had steak from the restaurant week menu , very well cooked. Overall great experience
Normally I give 801 five stars. Restaurant was cold this night had to leave coats on. The biggest disappointment was the steaks did not have that special searing they normally have. We look forward to that. Flavor was good but not the same. They gave us free dessert but can’t make up for no searing on the steaks. We will give them another shot next year though!
I have been a fan of 801 Chophouse from time spent in Des Moines, IA. This location is very similar and the food is exceptional. It was a perfect night and when I made the reservation, somehow they thought it was my anniversary but it was just a special night out with my beautiful wife. All together a wonderful night, perfect wine and exceptional steak.
Chuck was our waiter and made the night even more special. We were taking our son and his wife to dinner before a concert and Chuck made it all work out. The food was fabulous, the presentation superb. The support staff were efficient and unobtrusive. I have been to 801 in Omaha and Des Moines and this was the best. Great restaurant, great steaks.
This was my first visit to the downtown 801 Chophouse location and it was extraordinarily superb . The service provided for my group of 14 was the best I've experienced anywhere . Madison and Jacob quickly memorized everyone's names and were very attentive to all the needs of the guests . The menu provided great choices of steaks and seafood which was all extremely good . I think I just found a new favorite steakhouse in Kansas City .
My husband and I love to dine at 801 in KC when we are in town. We know we will spend the money, but it well worth it. Everyone from the hostess stand, to the waiter and everyone is very attentive and friendly. It is our first choice when staying downtown KC.
My wife and I had a reservation and was seated immediately on arrival. Service was quick upon being seated and throughout the meal but not bothersome. Madison was our waiter and he did an outstanding job. The meal was amazing. Perhaps the best prime rib I've eaten. All the food from appetizer to dessert was exceptional. We will go again!
