We enjoyed our night out it was the perfect ending for our valentines weekend
Great staff, ambiance, and food. This is always our first choice when going out for dinner!
Wonderful, delicious dinner. Worth every penny spent!
Food was amazing. Derek was very knowledgeable of the menu and informative. Service was great!
Fantastic! We have had Craig multiple times, but every time feels like old friends reuniting. He has a true zest, and was very enjoyable listening to as he sang the songs playing throughout the restaurant. We came on Valentine’s Day, and while I typically like to stay away from going out because I too am in the industry, everyone took great care of us. Sam does an incredible job as the General Manager and has a firm grasp on what it takes to make every guests experience enjoyable. The champagne, roses, and chocolate at the end of the meal were a sweet (and free) final touch to our meal. Thank you!
Great experience overall. Service was a little slow due to the holiday. Waiter was great. Potatoes were a liiiiiitle over seasoned. I wasn’t offered a rose like the other women :( but i will definitely go back. :)
Went in for a romantic date and delicious meal and it was everything I wanted and more!
Great food and Jacob was an awesome waiter! The desserts were fabulous!
First class service and our server made it a great experience.
My wife and I dined at 801 Chophouse for Valentine's Day. It was also my wife's birthday and I noted that when making reservations. We arrived about 15 minutes early for a 6:30pm reservation, but were seated immediately. We were pleasantly surprised to find a red rose and other small birthday decorations on the table. The restaurant itself is a nicely appointed, large area with booths and tables. There is also a large bar area. The restaurant is located in the KC Power and Light District and there are other great places within walking distance nearby. They have a large wine selection and many beer choices (many from Boulevard, the local brewery). Our server (Donald) was very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. He brought out a rolling cart with a selection of the various cuts of meat and described each and the price. There were also other choices on the large menu. While pondering main course options, we ordered the crab cake appetizer. It was very good, but it was $18 for one crab cake; so be aware that the prices run on the expensive side. My wife had the small Prime Rib and I had the 12 ounce Filet with Fromage preparation. Their "medium" tends to be more like "medium rare" in other places, so have your server describe. Both cuts of meat were excellent. The side choices come in an ala carte style, so have your server explain sizes. We had the glazed baby carrots and Lyonnaise Potatoes. Both were very good. They have a large dessert selection, but we abstained due to the large meal. We had a fantastic evening at 801 Chophouse and highly recommend it; especially for special occasions.
A note about parking -- the restaurant does offer valet parking, but there are a couple of large parking garages within a block or 2. We parked in a city garage and the cost was $5. There is a KC Live garage that would have been $3 if you get your ticket validated at the restaurant. Unfortunately, they did not validate for the garage we parked in.
The quality and quantity of food is amazing!! If you looking for a large steak I would recommend this restaurant to you.
Sean the server was excellent. Very knowledgeable and professional.
I don't know how it could be any better. It exceeded our expectation in every category. We always recommend.
As always, amazing food and service. Our waiter was especially good this evening!
My husband and I eat here about once a quarter. The food is always phenomenal and the service is fantastic!
As always, we had a great meal at 801! wine list is amazing, and steaks are always prepared to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Wonderful way to relax before concerThanks
Great Ribeye Bartenders pour a little weak. Overall very good.
Michael went way above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. One of the best dining experiences we've had.
Excellent service and steaks were prepared perfectly. Our side choices of brussel sprouts and parmesan potatoes were plenty to feed four adults and were very delicious. We had in our party a 9 year-old and 5 year-old and appreciated how well they were treated.
Great food, amazing service. Will definitely going back!
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary. It was superb! The environment, service, and food were all amazing! I highly recommend it!
We made reservation for the Kansas City location, but went to the Leewood location. We aren’t from the area and Googled Chophouse and that’s where we ended up.
The service was perfect (thanks Nicholas) and our steaks and sides were amazing. Loved the mushrooms! I could eat loaves and loaves of the bread.
The food was fantastic! Mattisen was very attentive!
Phenomenal service and food. Very friendly staff and attentive to patrons needs.
It was our anniversary and they made us feel right at home and really out did themselves. The food here is always amazing but the extra things they did put it over the top for us.
Wonderful meal and service was exceptional
The steaks were excellent! The server (Sean) was superb.
I went for KC Restaurant Week and it was phenomenal. The mashed potatoes that came with my steak were to die for. They also have a giant wine list if you're interested in wine by the bottle. A great place for an anniversary or event like it.
We absolutely loved dining at 801 Chophouse - the wine and food were fantastic! Our server was awesome and all staff were excellent!
Went during restaurant week, so the great value. 801 wedge salad was great! Filet was fabulous.
It was great. All the waiters are always knowledgeable.
Great location. Great atmosphere. Top knotch wait staff. Great prices for the quality and portion size. We had Linguine Pompadour and 8 0z fillet. Great fresh side. Will be back.
Overall a great and refreshing visit.
This is my favorite first night stop when visiting Kansas City! Wonderful ambiance, fabulous service and melt-in-your mouth preparations! I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Went for KC restaurant week. Got the 6oz filet, mashed potatoes & green beans. It’s was great! Their cooking is slightly under-cooked so order the next level up. (Medium-well will get you medium). The dessert cheesecake was good but would like if there was more strawberries.
We celebrated a birthday and the customer service and quality of food was top notch. The GM- Sam Cuda was super hospitable and the server- Chuck had a great sense of humor and was very attentive . We will become regular customers based on this experience
We always enjoy our experience at 801 Chophouse. Best steak in Kansas City!
Justin did a great job. Food was wonderful.
