Classic omaha steakhouse with the best available. Love the sides too! Excellent creamed corn. Rick at the bar will make you any drink I you want. This place is the best!
Waitress asked if she should remove the wine bottle from the table before it was empty???
My wife and I visited 801 for our Valentine's Day date. We had a New York strip and lamb and could not recommend either dish enough. The location is convenient, the atmosphere was very intimate and personal, while simultaneously extravagant and would welcome a party of 8 or more. Our server was so attentive he knew what we wanted before we even asked.
If you live in or around Omaha you owe it to yourself to go to 801 Chophouse at the Paxton.
And if possible, save room for dessert.
Food and service were excellent. Have never been disappointed. Try to eat at the 801 three or four times a year.
We always love our 801 Experience! Excellent food and terrific service! Fun place!
Great steakhouse! Quiet ambiance with low but not insufficient lighting. Server was friendly and knowledgeable. Green beans and mushrooms were great. Prime rib was stellar. Will definitely go again!
Valentines Day/date night
Great service and food! Will go back! Also a wonderful wine list!
Food was good but our waiter never came back but once the whole time. Never asked me if I wanted another drink and the food is way over priced and doesn't match what their website says.
Our server Leah was awesome and extremely well versed on the whole menu. Great suggestions from her. I’ve had Prime Rib all over the country this is the best I’ve even had.
My wife and I enjoy the 801 Chophouse and it has become our restaurant of choice to celebrate special occasions. Superb food, fantastic service. Never disappointed. Another great experience on Friday, May 9th.
The only comment we would make is the noise level was more than we would have liked.
Impeccable service and delicious meal
Amazing steaks, phenomenal service! Very happy we decided to dine here, and we’ll be back!
We had a wonderful experience at 801Chophouse at the Paxton. I understand why 801 Chophouse is viewed at the No. 1 steakhouse in Omaha if not the country. We shared the 16 oz. filet with the bone and delicious sides of garlic mashed potatoes, broccolini and sautéed spinach. For dessert, I had freshly made blueberry sorbet. Everything was outstanding. Our waitress also was outstanding. She knew the menu, the proper amounts for us to order, and was very helpful in our making our selections. All in all, 801 Chophouse was all that we had expected and then some!
The waitress was very friendly, helpful, and funny. The food was great, but if you are going to get one of the specials confirmed the price before ordering. We got an appetizer that ended up being $56, but it was good, but not that good. The Mac and Cheese were amazing and highly recommended. My friend had a New York Stripe and did not think there was anything special about it and most likely not get the stake next time if we go back.
Excellent service and food. The bar also has a great business vibe.
This is my #1 go to in Omaha
I got the 10oz Wagu fillet, and while expessive at $100 I can honestly say i havent had a steak fillet that good in my young 26 year life.
Food and service was very good as usual. My favorite restaurant in Omaha.
We had the Waygu filet special with crab legs. The food was amazing and the service was fun, entertaining, and well informed. Definitely recommend!
Restaurant and food were fabulous. Only complaint we had a 7:30 pm reservation and it was close to 8 pm before we were seated. No spots at the bar to wait. Also, wait staff seemed very rushed and anxious to get to next table.
Very friendly staff, made the birthday celebration special with a card, birthday menu and happy birthday written in chocolate on the dessert plate
Wonderful experience for Dinner. The entire presentation was amazing.
Loved the mussels and lobster BLT!
Our server Elizabeth was outstanding - knowledgeable about food and wine, funny and took great care of us. Highly recommend for a business dinner or a romantic night out.
The four of us were honestly disappointed in our dinners. The steak that I had was not as good as the one I frequently eat at our local steakhouse. The fish that someone at our table had was undercooked. The hash browns were disappointing. Again, not even close to the hash browns at local steakhouse. The salads were excellent as well as the desserts. The server did an outstanding job.
I have previously dined at the original 801 Chophouse in Des Moines and this one was not to the high standard that I enjoyed at the Des Moines restaurant.
I eat here a lot but the past two times my crab cakes have not been as warm as I’d like. Besides that this is one of my top recommendation for sea food and steak.
