We were very pleased with our dining experience. There were four of us. Everyone loved their meal .
Had a 1st date at this location. Had a great server who made my date and I feel welcome. Food was beyond delicious. Will come back for more
Really great food and reasonably priced for the uniqueness.
Very good. Will go back. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Many different choices for everyone.
We went on a Friday to have seafood. First timer here. Parking was a challenge for a 6:30 reservation. I felt like the place was short staffed. We didn’t get water right away. Food was mediocre. Service was mediocre. Ambiance was great, the space was nice but I think they were lacking in quality of food and service. Place has potential and noticed they had a couple of private dinner areas for small parties. I would come back for a second try but place does not get me excited.
We felt welcome from the moment we walked in. We love the decor. We love the food and our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
I have always loved going to this restaurant and it never fails to amaze me. I recommend highly everything on the menu.
My family and I went to this place as first timers. I wanted to order sushi but decided against it since there wasn’t a sushi bar and was prepared in the kitchen. Ended up ordering stir fry chicken chili. It was batter fried which was not I was expecting and chewy (perhaps chicken wasn’t deskinned). My wife ordered tofu noodles. Seems like tofu was fried and it was chewy as well The service was great but food could use a little touch. I may give it one more try in all fairness.
Always exceptional but the temperature in restaurant was so warm it was hard to enjoy dinner.
This is the best Asian food in the area. Quality ingredients and quality service.
This was my second time eating here. The service was spotty the first time and just plain bad the second time. Food was less than mediocre. Ordered pad Thai and it came covered with gigantic stems of cilantro. And I mean stems! A few leaves and mostly stems. We had to ask for things several times...like more water or hot peppers. Too many good places to have dinner with friends to waste time and money here again! People around us waited over an hour for their meals. I won't be back.
Great service and excellent food! Ariel is a perfect waiter.
This place was a terrible experience from beginning to end. Service took forever, we had reservations for 7, but we didn't leave until 9:15. Maybe they were short on servers that night, but it took at least 15 minutes for our server to stop by to put in drink orders. When he finally got our food order he did not write any of it down and of course forgot to put in my appetizer order. He didn't realize it until the main meal came, and I asked him where my appetizer was. The sushi I ordered wasn't anything special, just like any other generic sushi you can buy at the store. When our checks came, the server didn't give us the half price off bottles of wine special for the night and had to go back to redo, extending our night even further. The only good about the experience was their plum wine, which was excellent, and the server taking the late appetizer off the bill. I do not plan on going back, there are much better Asian restaurants in the area.
We had a great birthday dinner
Best lo mein!
We always enjoy 8000 miles and are never disappointed. Very good sushi and great Asian dishes.
Overall, it was good food at a reasonable price. However, service was extremely slow and it wasn't even crowded. I would worry if place was packed and I had to get somewhere.
We have been a couple of times both for lunch and for dinner. Food and service were great, prices are reasonable. Quickly becoming one of our favorite restaurants.
Our waitress was amazing. She was always checking on our drinks and if we needed anything. The food was fresh and great. The crab rangoon and calamari for an appetizer is a must!
Casual atmosphere and good food. The menu has a nice selection of Asian foods and the drink menu was fun, too. We’all definitely be back.
The food is always good. But tonight the sashimi was exceptional. Also had a couple of their signature dishes, the flavors all jelled well together. Our server was Ariel, he was awesome.
Delicious food and very impressed with how well it was prepared. I will be calling this one of my favorite places for sushi. Rated with high noise level due to tables that were very loud and the open layout, but I other tables were not nearly as noisy.
I come to 8000 a few times a month because the food is so delicious! The best Chinese food in the area by far!
We love the food. It's not the same menu options every other sushi location offers!
We always have a great time at 8000 Miles. We love their creative cocktails along with tasty maki.
Frequent diner of this restaurant, really, really tasty!
Our waitress was nice but the staff seemed pretty uninformed. We called ahead to see if this place was BYOB and the hostess didn't know what that meant. After explaining, she asked someone and they said they do and we can bring our own wine. I then asked if there was a corkage fee and again she seemed confused, asked someone who told her o was $25. To be sure I asked if that was to open 1 bottle, she again confusingly asked someone who said yes. Most people wouldn't pay that in downtown Chicago let alone in Roselle not to mention the average cost of a wine bottle is far less than $25. When I asked to speak to the manager to double check, she was pretty rude and said yes it's $25 that's our policy. I was still talking when she hung up on me. When we got to the restaurant we asked again and somehow the fee changed to $20 and you could buy a whole bottle for $22 there. Why on earth would they have this be a byob place is something I don't comprehend. The restaurant was also pretty empty and they seated us right by the door. We asked to be moved further and later noticed they had an outdoor area. Most people ask if you want to be seated indoors or outdoors - not here. And the lady was pretty upset and rolled her eyes at us when we asked to sit outside. We also got bit by a ton of mosquitoes as well as other tables since they haven't invested in mosquito repellent. Our server was great though! None of us would recommend this place unless you had no other option.
Our first visit. Upon arriving the owner explained they were shorthanded and there would be a bit of a wait for service. She asked if that was ok. We decided to give it a try. While we waited a bit for a server, sushi was outstanding. We will definitely be back.
The taste of the food was excellent and the portions were good sized the tea was very good also. The other guests were too loud! I couldn't hear the conversation at my table because of them!
Service was very slow. It shouldn't take 2.5 hours for dinner.
I'd only recommend to a friend because we've been to 8000 Miles previously. This visit was disappointing. For a Saturday night expected better service & a more knowledgeable server. Also, Saturday night is not the night to try out a new chef. Only half our meals were up to par.
Loved eating outside under a covered veranda, with live soft rock, played and sung by a great guitar player, at just the right volume where you could clearly hear his offerings while still being able to converse.
As far as the food goes, everything was familiar, while still providing some unique touches. We had the Crispy Canton Shrimp (Excellent), the Chciken Dumpling and Bok Choi Soup (a fresh take on Won Ton Soup and the dumplings were very good, but refreshingly different), the Kung Pao Chicken (Just enough spice to be delicious but not overwhelm with heat), and the Fried Rice with Chicken, Cashews and Pineapple (An excellent dish). I also had a Flight of Sakes, all chilled, going from dry to somewhat sweet to sweeter. It was really nice.
our waitress was also having to cover the bar area (on a Friday night- so you can imagine - it was a little busy)...it felt like we had to go up to the bar to ask for anything. AWFUL...and they need to clean the tables better, ours felt sticky.
Excellent restaurant! One of my favorites. Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and warm atmosphere! Nice patio for summer days.
Sat outside on the patio. It was wonderful!
Good food. Good service.
Went at 12:30 pm on Mother's Day. Seated right away with reservation. Overall good experience, but they didnt bring me my drink from the bar until I was almost done eating. Would definitely go back though.
I do enjoy the food there, but this time the service was extremely slow. I will go back, but they do need to improve their service.
The service continues to be a challenge here. I have never had a bad food experience but each time I have visited on a Saturday night the service has had an excuse for why they are slow. This past Saturday was the worst with my dates dinner arriving before mine and the appetizer. Which was still 20 mins after we placed our ordered. Water glasses were empty and the waiter never came and took out sake order. Really hope they can improve on their service since I enjoy the food.
