Striped bass menu was outstanding. Dry aged, smoked in chowder and pan seared w quinoa & summer squash. Not a fan of panna cotta but was converted after tasting the coconut panna cotta w black raspberries. A refreshing cocktail and wine selected by Andrew rounded out the menu. Looking forward to their Corn/Tomato menu next.

80 Thoreau is, and has long been, our favorite place to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. We can always count on an interesting menu, great food, and drink, and the service and setting that can make a special occasion even more special. Long live 80 Thoreau! We have been coming to the same spot for 46 years and 80 Thoreau is both the latest and best of the fine dining we have enjoyed there.

All food except the crudo which was served at room temperature vs cool and the warm potato salad which was so salty as to be inedible was extraordinarily good.

This restaurant has always been a lovely dining experience. The new chef in place has amped up the intensity of flavors, which is really fun! Loved the lobster pasta dish, stunning tastes!

Food , service and presentation were all very good. Our biggest complaint with this venue is that the ambience and vibe is very formal. The atmosphere needs to loosen up and become more upbeat for us to be more frequent visitors. That is not the vibe at other local restaurants, such as Woods Hill Table or Fiorella's in Concord. In summary, we have no complaints with the food, service and presentation - all excellent - it would make a difference if there was some positive energy in the room - a little joy. We felt as if we were being judged if we were to make any noise. Please take these comments in the spirit in which they were intended as they are our (one couple's) subjective opinions. 80 Thoreau has been a longstanding part of the restaurant scene in Concord so the ambience must be fine for many other diners. Just not us.

We had the striped bass seasonal tasting menu. 3 very different dishes, all delicious. Attentive servers, our meal was well-paced.

We enjoyed our meals. It is an interesting and creative menu. The food is delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and very good. We will be back soon!

Loved the strawberry cocktail and Andrew chose a wonderful red wine. The tuna crudo w strawberry-rhubarb aguachile and avocado And the dry-aged spanish mackeral were excellent. I was a little disappointed w the truffle add-ons. The grated truffle blended in w the sauce and was hard to distinguish. Zack was great.
