As always, impeccable service and outstanding food in a reasonably quiet environment where we could actually have a conversation without having to raise our voices. Wonderful!
Interesting cocktail menu and a very helpful and well-informed server.
It was very cold in the restaurant and upon leaving I was told they have been having difficulty with the heating system for some time. Many other diners were also wearing their coats at the table.

The outer dining room is charming and perfectly lit. We had a table at the window. Staff is friendly and attentive and the menu’s inviting. We shared the buratta salad which was terrific. I unfortunately ordered a whole dorado unknowingly that was very bony. Ended up splitting my friends steak entrée which was delicious.
amazing how delicious chicken can be when perfectly cooked with wonderful sides. my friend had the monkfish, which she loved also.

Very nice, but limited menu. A bit overpricced, but overall a very good-to-excellent experience.
Steak was medium quality beef although well prepared.
Service was great, but food was under seasoned. Ordered the monkfish, steak, and burrata. Burrata was good, but textures of the dish were off- the prosciutto was hard as a rock and made eating the dish challenging. steak was cooked well, but some stringy areas needed to be trimmed, and mushrooms were dry and without any flavor.
I was disappointed in the food this time. Some wonderful menu items have changed and the potions have shrunk considerably. The very reliable chicken entree is half what it was and the price is the same or maybe higher. A friend had monkfish and the portion was very small. She had never been to 80 Thoreau and had read great things. I was embarrassed when our entrees were served. It has been one of my go to restaurant, dining outside when possible during COVID. I also miss the delicious baby leaf salad with a wonderful vinaigrette. It has been taken off the menu.
I hope things improve from the kitchen.

I had the Celery Root Veloute For the first course followed by the Seared Scallops. Both were delicious! My husband had the roasted beet salad for his first course and the Berkshire Pork Duet for his main course. My husband raved about the sausage stuffed cabbage as part of the pork duet. We both had a wonderful pumpkin dessert. The food at 80 Thoreau is not your ordinary fare. The blend of flavors and presentation of the plates is special. We had a very attentive and helpful waitress and had a wonderful date night out.
The food and service were outstanding. The only thing that wasn't great was the noise. There is very little to absorb sound.

80 Thoreau has maintained its excellence over the years and our recent visit was no different. As a matter of fact I'd say they have upped their game. So, kudos again to the 80 Thoreau team. We look forward to more visits in the future.
First time back inside at 80 Thoreau pandemic closure and my dinner there was superb. It's as if they didn't miss a beat and I was thrilled!
Have not been back in a while. Menu is still very small especially appetizers.
Tried the Octopus which was delicious but for $23 it was a Very small portion.
Main courses of Pork and Hake were very good. Wine list by glass also Very small and also expensive for portions served. And yet we will be back because they are trying and it was good to be back. Hope they try a few changes on the menu going forward.
It was a wonderful start but got very noisy as the restaurant filled up. Food was outstanding and we really enjoyed our evening! Thank you!

Outstanding restaurant with a wonderful menu that melts your mouth with every bite. Four of us shared several appetizers which were delicious and I loved the scallops for the dinner course. Dessert was wonderful as well, and we shared the amazing sorbet and chocolate dish. Portions were perfect and it did not feel like we overate. Our red wine went beautifully with the meal as well.
The ambiance is quiet and lovely, without any crowding and we felt very safe and secure at our table.
It is worth your trip out to Concord to try this perfect restaurant!
I had the Chestnut fagottinis, great flavor and sauce, however the dough was too thick, at $31 for a portion equivalent to a large fist, I expected something more refined.
The pumpkin soup was too thick for a veloute, consistency was too much like a really thick sauce, a bit off.
The lighting and ambience in the front room where you enter the restaurant is sober and subdued, but borders on sad. Excellent bar and wine list.
I still love having this place around and hope that they can get back on their feet from the pandemic to where they used to sit in terms of always being able to count on a truly refined meal. Good service.
This was our first visit since the pandemic started, and I was disappointed to find a much limited menu. The food was excellent, but I missed the past normal wider selection. Hopefully, when/if things become more “normal,” so will the menu.
Our waiter, Zack, was terrific — personable, attentive, and patient.
The restaurant is still as lovely and serene as always. It was nice to be back, and we will return.

Food was beautifully prepared, server was ok, not overly knowledgeable about liquor options and didn't offer to inquire.
My partner's observation was he could have had one more piece of hanger steak. He liked his meal, but felt both the execution of the concept - that is, steak, potatoes, and mushrooms - was weaker than our expectation of this fine restaurant we love, and also somewhat 'skimpy' for heft alone.

Understandably experienced servers are hard to come by during these times. Having said that our server really didn’t have a clue about any of the dishes and really seemed not to care to inform himself.
Sad because the food was exceptional!
Perhaps the owners could make a point of extra training that would compliment the talents of the chef and other staff.
Lovely.. food presentation… delicious.. however for the price of the pork loin entree 2 tiny nugget pieces that fit on a tablespoon it left my boyfriend starving after his birthday dinner.. I actually had to drive him to friendlies so he could get a burger, fries n a ice-cream… need to up the game.. 4 pieces consider..
This is a fine dining restaurant without being pretentious. Seafood offerings are always outstanding. They have a fabulous wine list with great values and opportunities to splurge.
