7M Grill - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
All was great except when the server placed a very hot plate of Monkey Bread straight from the oven in front of my 4 year old. He is 4 and a piping hot plate covered in frosting in front of him of course he was going to touch it. The hostest responded quickly with a cool plate a towel with ice.
Awful service! Meals were not quite as described and refills were non-existent. Bottomless mimosas were ONE refill. The bloody Mary "bar" was a joke. Which was more than I got on my water. We had to ask multiple people for a manager. She was super nice and then completely disappeared.
The atmosphere was good. Relatively quiet for a Saturday night. Met a Tinder date there and it was perfect for the all-important first-date Q&A. Drinks could have been mixed a little heavier on the alcohol, but the Bacon Gouda Cavatappi was extrordinary. I recommend this place as a date venue. She asked me out for a second date, so something worked right!
Food was good and eclectic. I am eating low carb so loved the cauliflower mashed potatoes with my meal, and the charred Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. My husband loved his chicken pesto noodle dish. Our friends loved the halibut. I had a ribeye with my meal that was really fatty and not very flavorful, so that was a miss for me.. The service was excellent. I would recommend the place highly, maybe go someplace else for a good steak.
Sunday Brunch at 11 am - atmosphere was dead. Very few patrons, but nonetheless understaffed. Our server exhibited very little personality. Ambitious menu, but not particularly well prepared. Some elements of our dishes were not hot inside. Assume they were microwaved.
We stopped in for happy hour/early dinner and it wasn't very crowded, so lots of personal attention and a quieter atmosphere. The service was very good and the food was excellent. I tried the chicken and waffles today and they were presented beautifully. I felt like the flavor of the tenders was lacking a bit (the breading could've used more spice) but the accompanying sides made up for it. The crab & artichoke dip was delicious as usual and we enjoyed our truffle fries as well as the cocktails. Can't wait to go back.
We had ceviche for the appetizer. It was less than appetizing. While colorful, the looks did not impress. The entree was okay. I had the new york strip which came with a portabella mushroom stuffed with part of a tomato and feta cheese, topped with Parmesan, which was the best part of the entire meal. The salad was slightly heavy on the balsamic vinaigrette. For desert, I had the mousse and he had the chocolate cake. We shared. The cake he had was as if it had been baked a week ago. The mandrin orange mousse I had was beautifully plated, but it did not have flavor to match.
The waitress was attentive and pleasant. She filled up our glasses and asked how our meals were (we lied so as to not spoil the evening).
The ambiance was okay. The table cloths were nice. The candles were nice. The location doesn't leave much to be desired. I felt okay about it until I saw a server wearing tennis shoes.
Lastly, for all this, we paid 100 dollars. I'd gladly pay that for a restaurant that merited the service, such as Petit Crenn or Dolce, but this was just not up to par.
We celebrated Valentine's Day at 7M Grill and our evening was wonderful. We enjoyed the special Prixe Fixe dinner...delicous! The wine we chose was superb, and the service was perfect! The feeling overall was romantic, warm and special. Thank you to our server and 7M staff.
Our party of 5 ordered two appetizers and 5 entrees. I did not read the menu carefully and ordered the Thai Lavosh. I figured it was like M's Pub lavosh. This one had a lot of red peppers on it. I would not order it again. Regarding the entrees, they were excellent. The top two were the pesto chicken pasta and the gouda mac 'n cheese with Chicken. Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely a return trip is on the horizon.
Our experience was very good however, It was about 9:10 PM and our waiter came up and told us that the dishwasher had about 10 minutes left and they were shutting down then. That was very uncomfortable and not very professional. I will think twice before going back. I understand that the employees want to go home however my friends and myself hadn't seen each other in a while and were enjoying ourselves. I wasn't aware of what the restaurants hours were, maybe they close at 9 PM and I didn't know that. If that's the case, I apologize for staying late and I will definitely pick a different restaurant to dine at.
We have eaten at 7M before, and looked forward to their tasty cooking. Our food was great: between us we had the Herbed Mussels, the Fish Tacos, and sides of Breussels sprouts and garlicky French fries, with Creme Breulee. However, our server disappeared for long periods, and was not as attentive as she should have been; a hour should have been plenty of time for a meal, but we waited ninety minutes. Which would have been manageable except the table was tucked by the door, and backed up against windows which did not keep out the cold. When we mentioned this upon being seated, the server took it as a general comment, instead of asking if we'd like to move. It was awkward, because the table seated six, and there were only two of us. If we go back, we plan to be more assertive about our seating.
Was really excited to try this place. Went there for brunch. It was just ok. Service was slow even though there was hardly anyone there. They had a Bloody Mary bar, but at 12:00 was picked through and wilted. Had the patty melt which was bland. My husband had the chicken and waffles- nothing special. Will probably not go back.
I ordered the bourbon steak, which would have been amazing if it was cooked the way I had ordered it. I ordered it medium well, it came out rare/medium rare, so I sent it back. Took awhile to get back and my husband and friend had already finished their meals. When it came back it was well done and charred. I was not pleased but was starving so I ate the well done steak. The waiter was very nice and offered to free desserts to make up for the mistakes. A very nice gesture, as it was pretty obvious both steaks were not up to what was the desired cooking preference and the waiter could tell by looking at them.
