we had the christmas dinner.The service is impeccable , the host warm and welcoming.
The food was excellent , very tasty and visually appealing. The problems were : a little drafty, no real separation between the dining area and the lounge/bar but worst of all was
the big groups of noisy and drunk people . They were from the same company I was told so why not let them rent the whole freaking place for themselves??
Instead of ruining other patron's experience? They kept on going back and forth between the bar and the dining area to get more alcoholic drinks, they grabbed tables and arranged
them as they pleased..etc. So tell me what is the staff for? who is running the show?
What's the point of reserving a table ?
Again it was a christmas dinner,some guests dressed accordingly and the kitchen provided
a gourmet menu.If I wanted to see some drunkards going around tables with arms full of beers, and football games playing on TV screens I would chosen a sports bar. I don't think I heard a single note of music the whole night,which would have been welcome to cover the crazy laughs and stupid discussions around,despite a sorry piano sitting there
desperately waiting for a player (or a crank because it's an auto play)

My wife and I booked our Thanksgiving dinner at the 750 restaurant.
$65 per person flat fee 4 course menu. The menu was posted on line before, so we knew (or thought we knew) what we were going to get.
This is the worse Thanksgiving dinner and one of the worst restaurant experience that I can remember.
It started by them saying that they had ran out of both soups on the menu and were "offering" a 3rd option that we did not like.
The salads were below average.
The turkey was cold, the gravy dry and heavy, the beans under-cooked and the sweet potatoes hard as steel.
The dessert buffet was a choice of various not so tasty mini cupcakes. Not what I would call a dessert buffet by any mean.
The wine that we selected (a Copolla Red) came with the bottle already uncorked (a big no-no) and it tasted as if they had filled the bottle with cheap table wine. Which they probably did.
To make things even worse, the bill had the wine priced at a higher level than on the menu.
When I pointed that out to the server, they just mentioned that they had given me an old menu and that the price of that bottle had changed. No apology at all. As a matter of fact, they tried to make me feel bad for even asking the question.
This restaurant is in a Hilton Hotel in a major city (San Francisco), so you would generally expect an OK dinner.
Both food and service were well below expectations and, trust me, I am not a hard customer to please.
We went for the pre-fix price for Thanksgiving. The service was very slow even though they were not busy. The waiter seemed to be in a hurry and walked away while you were requesting an item and we never seemed to be able to find him. He never checked back in with us. In addition, the food was good but luke warm when it came and cold with some dishes. I have been told it is better for brunch and will give it a second try for that. Also beware, the restaurant charged both me and another one in my party a charge of $500+ dollars that remain as pending for 48 hours. This was in addition to the regular charge for the meal that went through right away. So the business tied up close to $800 on my account. I called finance but no one got back to me with an explanation.
First time dining here for breakfast. Not sure if it was because of Father's Day but the price of buffet was pricey relative to the selection options at $27/person. Food at bar was sub par. Not much variety of hot food. Appears a lot of the food has been sitting there for a while. No omelette station but rather have to order an omelette with the staff. And ingredients were limited to a maximum of 4 ingredients even though it's a buffet? May be preference, but I enjoy omelette stations and being able to choose as many ingredients as you want. Fruit selection weren't refilled. There were periods where the watermelon bowl was empty. For the price and on a special day, I expected more. Guess I should have expected it when half the room was empty and reservations were still available. Would not go back.
Expensive but food was good (was there for weekday breakfast), service stellar. Buffet includes some Chinese dim sum items.

Although I reserved via Open Table, on arrival the restaurant appeared to be baffled by that fact as no person working (they were highly understaffed) seemed able to access the reservation. After sitting at the bar for ~ 10 minutes with no service...not even a glass of water, I decided dinner was not an option and departed. Looking at the menu (Not particularly appealing) and given the unbelievably inept service, Open Table should not list this venue as a place to dine...there are plenty of options within a short walking distance from the Hotel. Given the location: Hilton Financial District- San Francisco, this was probably my single worst experience in a Hotel restaurant.
Easter brunch was excellent - make your own omelette bar, leg of lamb, ham and many other different items along with unlimited mimosas - you can't go wrong.
The amount of leal is perhaps toó much. I 'd prefer less but high quality.
Chose this place for lack of last minute reservation availability for NYE dinning. Was a bit hesitating in booking it after I read other peoples reviews. However, I got very happy with the result. I took my husband with me, who is a super picky eater, and he said that it was the best dinner he had ever had in his life. We got their 4 course special NYE dinner, and it was indeed very special.
Very disappointed with this choice for NYE dinner. The restaurant itself looks pretty nice, nothing very upscale but a nice dining option that is semi-casual. Unfortunately, the design of the hotel is in such a way that the cold draft from opening the lobby door blows all the way into the restaurant. Every diner had their jackets on during the service because it was so cold.
The food was sub-par, quality wise not much better than a TGIF or Cheesecake Factory type. Every dish that came out was room temperature or colder, even the soup which was very disappointing considering how cold it was. Very painful considering the "4-course NYE" plate was $75 without wine pairing ($100 with).
The wait staff was average. Not following up with diners once we placed orders until we were brought our food.
Overall, I would not recommend this place because the quality of food, average wait staff, and a major hotel not knowing how to keep a restaurant properly heated.
The food was good but the service was like Fawlty Towers - unexpected in a quality hotel.
This is a hotel restaurant based in the breakfast room. Very poor ambiance. Very expensive and food was only so-so. Finally, the service was lacking. Find somewhere else.
Great New Year's dinner. Great wins pairing and the staff were on top of everything. Amazing!!!
We went for a meal on Christmas and had made reservations for this special night months in advance. It was the worst experience of a meal out in SF that I ever had.
They put us nearly in the lobby where people check in to the hotel.
The food was terrible and came out at different times for our party of 8 (two of them were small children). When the remainder of our parties meal was brought out, it was cold. The food itself was not cooked well and was very basic and nothing special.
The service was slow
The ambiance and lighting was way too bright and fluorescent.
It was a top pick for a Holiday meal in a magazine, but I am not sure why.
I was super embarrassed to have my family come in from different locations throughout the country and then to take them to a "fancy restaurant" in San Francisco and be so disappointing.
On a positive note, I believe the corkage fee was nominal.
We did complain and they adjusted our bill.
We enjoyed a family Christmas dinner here while on holiday from the UK. We had the set menu with wine pairing. The food and wine were great. The only downside was that the courses were served so quickly with no breathing space in between. The wine didn't keep pace with it, so one course was eaten before the wine was served. It could have been a little more relaxed in timings.
I always enjoy eating lunch at 750. I love their crab louie salad, reuben sandwich and the fish and chips. I had good customer service. However, I wish there would be someone at the front desk to seat us.

We went to 750 Restaurant for Thanksgiving with a group of 12. We appreciated that they had a non-cramped space for a large group, that it wasn't too loud, that the hostess was friendly and accommodating, and especially that they were friendly to the four small kids in our group. The ambiance wasn't special but it was fine--felt like a hotel lobby. They were accommodating about substitutions for two in our party who have food allergies. The service was good-natured and they appeared to be trying hard, but it was uneven with some long waits and some dishes not cleared until two courses later. Bread was included (and delicious) but we had to ask for it. The food was on the whole also fine but uneven. Clam chowder, salad, and bread were really excellent. The turkey dinner was good but not that special. Some of the veggie sides seemed slightly underdone. One in our party who had salmon for an entree liked it a lot but found it very rich, another who chose roast beef felt the quantity (huge) was somewhat substituting for quality in the meat but liked the accompanying sides. The dessert buffet was the least exciting part of the meal--it tasted like low-end mass produced sweets (eg whipped topping instead of whipped cream, and pastries you could imagine coming out of a Sara Lee box) and also seemed to be trying to substitute quantity for quality. The kids liked the variety, though. Overall it was a pleasant Thanksgiving experience and we were happy enough to have been able to celebrate there together, but we probably won't be going back since we weren't excited enough by any of the food, service, or ambiance.

First time visit for New Year's Eve dinner. Dinner was in a open bar area with no real ambience. Food was good and reasonably priced but not really a good choice for a romantic/holiday dinner. Service was OK. Probably best for a convenient meal if staying at the hotel.
Had the pleasure of having dinner here on NYE with my hubby and bestie. $55 for a three course meal and only a $15 corkage fee for bringing our own champagne. Also had brunch here on New Years Day where they had bottomless mimosas for only $12 a glass. Delicious food, hubby got to watch football, and service was amazing!!!
There was no ambiance. It was so bright I felt like I was on stage. It is literally right in the lobby of the Hilton. No divider at all.
Service was great. Food was good and many open tables on Christmas.
We booked thanksgiving dinner here and since neither of us have had thanksgiving dinner before (visiting from Sweden) we where quite excited to try and have a good night. Unfortunately neither service nor food lived up to our expectations. We waited long for drink orders and waiters (who probably just worked extra during the night) was clumsy and not very attentive to us, and salmon was not cooked to our preference. We are not fussy and are happy to pay gratitude for good service, but with he price we paid for dinner we expected more.
Food here is great never expected such top shelf food from a restaurant in a hotel lobby. The lighting is a bit harsh but the food makes up for it

I was disappointed that the bar did not open until 4:00pm, so none of the yummy summer cocktails that were advertised were available at lunch.
Despite the impression a small lunch crowd could give, the food was very good. Lack of a crowd also meant we could have a good business conversation without asking the other to repeat a sentence. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and the ambiance, especially the gas firepit, was delightful.
Best part was the waiter.

Door man couldn't tell me where I could park. Valet parking discouraged. Pulling out of the drive to find parking a nightmare. Necessary to drive around a maze of one way streets in order to get to the parking garage across the street. Finally got to the restaurant, stressed about being late for my reservation, it was open seating, no table had been set. Cool design elements but smack in the middle of the hotel lobby.
The Menu limited, food mediocre. Prices high, reasonable for a hotel restaurant. No parking validation, Hotel doesn't do that now
Unmemorable experience, cost in time, effort and money.
For hotel guest might recommend. Not a destination or 'let's do it again' experience.
Do not waist your time making a reservation here, the service, food, everything was bad
After a long day of business meetings I opted to eat dinner in the hotel. The reviews made it sound like a glorious San Francisco gem. I would disagree - it is a reasonably decent hotel restaurant, but not one I would make a special trip to eat at again. The service was adequate and the food tasted fine. However, there was really nothing very remarkable about 750. The tale tale sign that something is amiss is that even in a busy neighborhood the only patrons appeared to be fellow guests at the hotel.
I have no concrete complaints, I was hungry, I found something to eat and I ate it. However, I had hoped for layered flavors or even homey goodness - instead... bland.
I tried the restaurant at the Hilton Hotel as I thought it would be a good choice. The name Hilton triggered me. I will never do so again. Location isn't that good. Very noisy because of the bar being in the restaurant and all people that want to have a drink need to walk through the restaurant. That's disturbing.
Food was only so so. I would have expected much more from the Hilton.
I feel bad writing this review because we had a blast yucking it up with the staff. They were thrilled to have locals in their restaurant, and I don't think it happens often. But the food, ugh, the food was edible but mediocre. If you are in San Francisco and staying at the Hilton, PLEASE venture outside your hotel for dinner. The sauce on the mac n cheese was tasty but so runny it was almost like soup. The french onion soup was bland. The fries that came out with the sandwich were ice cold and we had to ask for the sauce it didn't come with it. The salad was WAY over dressed. If the kitchen catches up with the professionalism of the front of house staff then they'll have a decent little restaurant. As is, I can't possible recommend it
