Good to be in a restaurant for a change!
Great service. Good food options. Great location. I'd go back.
Food and drinks were great as well as the ambience. The only minor gripe we had was that we felt really rushed. It might be because it was a pre-fixe menu but we the first 3 courses brought out within a half hour and barely had half of our cocktails. They then asked if we wanted our dessert course and we had to tell them to wait. Ironically the one time they didn’t rush us is when we had our card out ready to pay. All in all it was still a great experience and a nice cozy spot which is exactly why you want to enjoy your time there.
Beautiful ambience , Amazing and Punctual service through all of our courses. Our experience was absolutely extraordinary . I highly suggest booking a reservation and have a dining experience here , you won’t regret it ! Thank you for making our Valentine’s Day special.
Very comfortable and relaxing place to eat. Dim lighting which is not bad but sets the mood for an intimate dining experience. Will come back again
Absolutely delicious! The restaurant is a on a cute small street. The service was excellent. We had the fig flatbread and the Carbonara as well as a bowl of clam chowder. It was all perfect. It was hard to pick what to eat. Everything sounded amazing. 10/10 would come back again.
75 Chestnut is a pleasant surprise - it was our first time at this lovely neighborhood restaurant located just of Charles Street in Beacon Hill. The service is warm and friendly and the food is very good. The atmosphere is outstanding. We'll be back.
Here at venue and service was fiine. Drinks were fun but he food was average to poor. The halibut special was ok but the side was a tastless black mystery mush with mini veggies stuck randomly into it and the winter spaghetti carbonera was ober cooked, tastless and the so called applewood bacon was large chunks of chopped up ham. The highlight was the freshbaked cookie with ice cream. Go for drinks . . . eat somewhete else
Amazing place with great food. The service is delightful, making the whole evening a blissful experience. Ordered the seafood stew which they themselves split into two for me and my date, saving us the trouble. The fried calamari came in cold and non-crispy, which they took away as soon as we raised the issue. The fresh calamari came in about 5 min later, hot and crispy. Ended the night with creme brulee on the house which was a very sweet gesture. 10/10, loved the place!
WONDERFUL MUCH NEEDED NICE MEAL OUT IN ONE OF OUR FAVORITE BEACON HILL SPOTS. VERY WELL PROTECTED WITH COVID BARRIERS
75 Chestnut is a true gem in Boston. They have made safety and capacity adjustments during Covid and it is still my favorite restaurant. The warm friendly atmosphere and excellent food made our dining experience wonderful. Felt blessed to have my family dinner there.
The food prices seem a little high, but the portions are massive. I got the crab cake benedict and it came with two sausages and home fries. The food was delicious and came out quickly.
The restaurant has done a good job of sectioning off different seating places with plastic partitions to limit cross-contact between patrons.
Great food and great environment. Several options on the menu that I wish we could have tried but the portion sizes were great so there was no need. Will definitely be visiting again!
Really enjoyed our meal there. Unfortunately, Covid puts a damper on any dining experience, but 75 Chestnut does a great job of providing a safe experience and keeping you well within the 90 minute meal time limit.
At the end of the meal, we were surprised with a molten chocolate cake dessert in the house (we were celebrating our anniversary)! Fantastic!
Enjoyed the atmosphere.
Charcuterie platter was excellent.
Entree overcooked and vegetables overcooked and bland.
Service was good. Very clean, felt safe
Date with wife. Great to get out. We love this place and want to support our friends in the food service world. Felt very safe as they have done a great job.
Great evening. Beautiful spot with delicious food a d super attentive staff.
Ordinarily this place has a cozy, neighborhood vibe, which I love. But they went above and beyond with the plexiglass, which has destroyed the ambiance, and they are a little too compliant with 90-minute rule. Some people may appreciate this, not me. But service, food, etc., all still great. Hopefully this is all temporary ... for the time being, I'd suggest a place with less plastic or drinking at home.
Delicious brunch, friendly service!
It just didn't have the magic it used to. The service was outstanding.
The service was excellent. I found them friendly, timely and most importantly accurate. The food quality was perfect. Our table ordered a variety of entrees, all of which were prepared with care. We found the atmosphere very comfortable, quaint and suitable for good conversation.
A phenomenal overall experience
Great service and good food at this neighborhood gem in Beacon Hill. This was our second visit since moving to Boston 4 months ago. We will be back for sure.
Delicious food and felt very Covid safe! Lots of plexiglass!
I remembered this place as being cozy with great food. The food was just okay this time and the service was not great. With that said, I did feel very comfortable in the space with the covid precautions they’ve implemented- solid barriers and plenty of distance.
Nice Thanksgiving experience.
We very much enjoyed the Thanksgiving special dinner event. The staff were great, efficient not intrusive. The food was excellent high quality thanksgiving turkey with all the fixings. Other options were available as well. The pumpkin bisque was well flavored and served hot.
Dessert was an arrangement of portions of 4 different items served to each diner. The drinks were made well and served cold. The wine list had many good wines that did not break the bank. Loved this place and will return.
Thanksgiving
Food was absolutely superb! The beef stew was served in an acorn squash and it was delicious! Excellent service and food along with traditional Beacon Hill atmosphere makes this place a favorite!
The food and the ambience was really good. Proper covid precautions were being taken. The wait staff was incredible. It made our special day even more special.
We discovered this restaurant recently and it’s a favorite. We had their French onion soup which was flavorful and not overwhelmed with bread and cheese. We also shared a flat bread. The nouveau barreled wine was appealing and we will be back, no question.
Excellent service and delicious food! We felt very safe with all of the distancing and dividers. A neighborhood gem.
The food was not good at all. I ordered the Veggie Omelette and the mushrooms did not look fresh, they were gummy, tomatoes were not at all cooked a little prior to being put in the omelette. The potatoes did not impress either. My daughter ordered the chicken panini and the bottom bread was wet and soggy, fries were not fully cooked. We both left more than half of the food!
My favorite restaurant in Boston! Thank you for being open. :)
Excellent service and food.
Incredible. Such a fantastic meal, service was speedy and kind. Many precautions taken for COVID, felt comfortable the entire time. We had the steak au poivre and the filet and they were both cooked perfectly. Lava cake was fantastic as well. Thank you!
Great food, cocktails, & service. They put up plexiglass around the tables, adding an extra COVID safety measure. We felt very safe and enjoyed our visit. We will dine here again.
Polite friendly waiter, food came quickly.
I had French Toast with banana, Nutella and pecans. A tiny bit of Nutella and the bread with thick and tough and I could barely cut it!
I'll never order that again.
I told the host and she simply said 'sorrt'.
Usually the food is very good but I lef thungry. I foolishly didn't tell the waiter, a mistake.
Great meal
Great service and great food for a Sunday brunch. Highly recommend!
