We were in town for the night of our vacation and chose the restaurant based on the fact it was in a neighborhood and not on the main drag. Also, the food sound appealing from viewing the menu
We were greeted upon arrival and wished a happy anniversary. Which was thoughtful
Service was overall good aside from the server’s seemingly slower pace as compared to attention received by the table beside us. The team of servers assisted him in clearing and delivering, but only after we sat with clear finished dishes for several minutes before placing them on the table next to us just to have more space
Overall, the food was good. My wedge was as expected with chunks of blue cheese and crispy bacon. The bread was delicious. The main course was good, the salmon was well prepared but the rice was a but under seasoned. Also, the calamari appetizer tasted fine but the light breading was soggy
Had a great time!
Service was a bit slow but the food was delicious and we loved sitting outside to enjoy the nice fall weather.
This is a must for brunch in Boston! Not only is the food and drink delicious (especially the bloody marys) but it is located on the cutest street. Definitely make a reservation!
As always, our dinner here was extraordinary. The autumn ravioli squash was spectacular, and we loved their festive autumn drinks too!
Overall good but had to ask for bread after our entree had arrived
Food wasn’t bad but needed more flavour Our server was horrible plus I sent back my old fashion they didn’t make a new one they just adjusted the same one I would of sent that back but our sever never came back wouldn’t go back sorry to say
Go for the ambiance.... not necessarily for the food.
I had high hopes for this spot. Went on our anniversary. Couldn’t find anything on menu that grabbed me. I ordered chicken sausage pasta which feels like a Tuesday night homemade meal. Not something you pay 25$ for. It was mediocre. Loud pop music playing like a pub. I was expecting and hoping for something a bit more special
Great evening at 75 Chestnut! Both the food and the atmosphere were excellent!!
Extremely pleasant environment, service was outstanding and food was amazing! It is a must go restaurant and I’ll definitely come back soon. Also, the staff was attentive to the reservation details (I put in the comments that I was celebrating my husband’s birthday) and they brought an amazing desert that made us enjoy even more the decision of having dinner there.
Excellent experience!! Highly recommend.
Beautiful little restaurant. We had the salmon special and it was delicious! Highly recommend
We had a lovely evening at 75 Chestnut. It was not too crowded and we sat in the bar area. Jeff did a great job helping us with wine and meal choices. It is one of our favorite places and we will definitely return soon.
Cozy atmosphere, decent food
Great food, but they could up their game on their wine list.
Other than the carrots being under cooked everything was really good. I’d definitely go back
The Oktoberfest specials were great: bratwurst, knockwurst, schnitzel, and the harvest vegetables. Fun to do Oktoberfest at 75 Chestnut.
Fish and chips lacked flavor. However my father sausage fish was one of the best he has ever had. Didn’t know how to make a Spanish coffee but charged exorbitant $14 for it.
Great neighborhood spot
Food was amazing and service was outstanding. Would absolutely recommend!
Delicious food and perfect ambiance for an intimate dinner for 2. We loved everything about 75 Chesnut.
Great food, ambiance and location in Beacon Hill. Our waitress was super efficient despite the heavy workload.
This is a keeper for sure!
Very good; nice setting
Good food / terrible rude service. Part of the dinner party was late getting there, but we ordered ahead. We were all but ignored by the staff - no checking on us / we had to ask for bread and water refills, etc. We wanted another 15 min past their 1.5 hour allocation. We weren’t squatting - just wanted a last glass of wine. They basically kicked us out with 3 or 4 open tables and no one waiting. Obviously, we’ll never go back.
The food was excellent. We had beef tenderloin and the filet. Both were very tender and perfectly prepared. Service was attentive yet not obtrusive.
Will definitely return.
It had great ambience! A little understaffed and our waiter was on the run the entire time but tried his best to provide good service. The food, itself, met our expectations.
Old world ambience and warmth with new world efficiency.
75 Chestnut is always great and one of my go to spots. Food and service was great, our server was really helpful, accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable.
The salmon special was a bit disappointing when compared with the regular salmon entree which I had two days prior. That entree was spectacular.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Who doesn’t love half priced desserts on a Tuesday!
My entire entree was cold to the touch. The Grilled Au Poive Tenderloin had no taste, and (it was like I was eating steak tartare)the gravy on the potatoes was very sugary.
Great food and waitstaff. One of best I found in Boston.
Ordered Organic Salmon and Steak Avacado salad- both great. Loved Fig Manhatten. Server was friendly and attentive.
Chicken sausage and eggs with hollandaise was average. Poached eggs undercooked. Mexican omelette also only average and uninspired. The setting and pace were the best part. We have been here several times and find it inconsistent.
Friendly neighborhood place with good food, service, drinks and ambiance— we had a great time!
Service was great. The food came out quick and had great flavor. The cocktails were good as well. I will recommend this place.
75 Chestnut is doing a wonderful job ! They have outside seating as well as tables inside. We shared the salmon and a salad and it was perfectly prepared. 75 Chestnut has become one of our favorite restaurants in Boston.
Quite atmosphere and good food and ample cocktails
If you want the most casual, relaxed but still upscale restaurant come to 75 Chestnut. There is nothing pretentious about it at all however that does not take away from the quality and ambiance. We were celebrating our very recent engagement (just 5 mins prior to arriving at the restaurant) and the whole restaurant was celebrating with us, customers and all. We sat outside and the area of Chestnut on a warm, nearly fall night was just perfect. Little noise at all, didn't have to raise your voice. The food, wow some of the best seafood I have had, love to know what batter they had mixed up for the calamari!
The food was outstanding. The lobster toast and chicken sausage hash were of note.
Kevin our server was attentive and friendly. Even put up with the weak flirting of one of my table mates.
The only questionable thing was we had a table in the back. The two people with their backs to the wall both knocked their heads against the most ill placed shelf Imaginable.
