Birthday celebration - everything was fabulous
Food was excellent. Fresh and delicious. Service was great.
The women maitre d (In red sweater) was rude and condescending. It’s too bad because the server and food were excellent.
Amazing! I had the pumpkin ravioli which was delicious. my son had the chicken dish with roasted potatoes and vegetables. he said it was the best meal he ever ate.
Always excellent food and service.
Great thank you
As a frequent tourist/visitor to Boston, my family seeks out dining experiences. Since finding 75 Chestnut some 3 years ago we have been back a number of times, and we have found it to be welcoming, cozy, with excellent service, and very good an consistent menu choices. The clientele are interpreted to be Beacon Hill locals, that have made this their go to establishment. My advice is to seek out 75 Chestnut in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, rather than a tourist location on a busy street. The quite location is a gem, with welcoming staff, and great food.
Our waitress was great, our table was perfect, in the window, the food was delicious, and it was lively in the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here.
While we are "regulars", but not regular enough for the manager for the front-of-the-house to recognize us by name, he still managed to seat us an hour earlier than our res., at a makeshift table at the bar.
While service was somewhat awkward (begging the bartender??), they were able to accomodate us and meal was better than ok.
Will return. (Maybe enough so that they will learn our names!!)
Great venue with amazing food and drinks! Can't wait to go back.
75 Chestnut never disappoints us!!! Betsy and her staff always make us feel welcome, feed us well and encourage us to return, which we will do!!!
Great place! A little on the pricey side
What a great find. I was in town for business and found this place on open table and so glad I did. The service was super friendly and the food was delicious.
Food and ambiance was amazing. Love the option of appetizer portions!
75 Chestnut is the perfect place for great food and ambience. It's steps from Charles street or Beacon street, and the staff are really quite nice. I recommend the place all the time with no complaints!
Really cozy atmosphere. Food was great. Service was prompt and efficient. Have added this restaurant to our list of “go again for sure”
I love this place for brunch, it is charming and quaint without being too small. The food is great and they have something for everyone. I have been here twice now and I have not been disappointed yet!
I’ve eaten there twice. Service the first time was excellent; the second, not so good.
The food was wonderful on both occasions.
Great location and meal! Highly recommend!
Things were busier than usual and where we We’re sitting it was quite loud; however despite the fact that they seemed understaffed the service was reasonable under the conditions and the food quite good, as usual
We had a lovely meal.at.75 Chestnut in Beacon Hill on Sunday. I had requested thru Open Table a birthday dessert or cake, but they must not have seen the request since there was no offering or mention of it. I did not bring it up because my kids had already brought up gelato (across the street) for dessert. There were plenty of gluten free choices and modestly priced entrees for the less hungry. I had the pork osso bucco special, and it was very good. My red wine was also excellent. I would return to 75 Chestnut!!
A brilliant little last-minute find. We'd been at other "fancier" restaurants in the city during our stay, but this one was by far the best evening we had. It's a warm, comfortable, friendly neighborhood restaurant - lively with delicious food and a wide range of options that ensure there's something for everybody. Cheese and crackers for all on arrival was a lovely way to start. followed by WARM freshly baked bread- when that happens - you know things are going to be good. It was divine.
Food was great as well.... and to top it all off, some of the best service we've encountered. Warm and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble.
A nice walk around the area too afterwards with the lovely streets was perfect. Definitely recommended.
Another outstanding experience at 75 Chestnut. The lobster pasta special was amazing.
Excellent! Sat next to the owners and had a wonderful time, conversation, and the food was out of this world!!!
Fake boujee, frozen french fries, insufficient calamari count. Too expensive for the quality of food. Nice location though!
Fabulous 75 Manhattan!!!
Food was excellent. Very attentive service.
Definitely will return.
Lovely spot. Cozy, low key, with great service and very good food.
Not sure what I enjoy more - food or atmosphere. 75 Chestnut never disappoints. I always look forward to any excuse to dine there and love to bring new friends here. 75 Chestnut never disappoints!
Great food and great atmosphere in a great neighborhood. A very enjoyable evening and will definitely return.
Great food. I liked the cheese platter that was available to grab whenever you wanted it. They also provided good bread. Nice people with good service
It is my new favorite place!!! Exceptional food customer service and cleanliness.
Great ambiance, service & food. Everything from the welcome, our friendly server & the food was excellent. Highly recommended 👍
Held a business dinner for 14 people. The staff was extremely accommodating and efficient. Food was very good and our guests really enjoyed the experience.
Great server and great food, really enjoyed the space and the vibe.
Food was good, not great. Portions were larger than expected. Excellent service. Quaint, charming atmosphere. Friends got steak sandwich and loved. Schnitzel was great. Ravioli not so good. Dessert was delish. And there is cheese and crackers you can help yourself to!
We were a large group of 12, celebrating on a Sunday night after having finished walking 60 miles in 3 days to raise money for breast cancer research. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Our table was ready when we arrived. The restaurant is very cozy and quite pretty, with tables that aren’t too close together. The drink menu had some great options that our group really enjoyed. Menu options were many, and we liked that there were options both substantial and lighter...which gave us something for everyone. Food was delicious - everyone enjoyed their selections. Our server was awesome - she was attentive throughout the meal, gave good advice on the menu, and then graciously treated us to dessert to share to help us celebrate. Thank you for a great evening! We highly recommend 75 Chestnut.
Excuse me for my language, as I'm not a native speaker. As a first experience, our intentions is to try a hidden restaurant in Beacon Hill, an upscale area in Boston. We did a reservation at 8:45 pm, but we arrived at 7:12 pm and the receptionist was happy to accommodate us. I felt it is such a genuine and an authentic Bostonian ambiance in this extremely diverse and cosmopolitan city. The waite warmly introduced himself and handed us the two menus: the wine list, and the food menu. Here, it will be confusing to separate between the starters section and the main course section, as noa labels appear on the menu. We did three orders, the 75-chestnut tower, which composed of three layers of fried calamari, garlic bread, and ravioli. I like the idea of combing the three popular dishes in one starter. also, 75-chestnut Burger, which I'd give it an average score as my wife said she could make the same burger in house, but the fries were very good. Moreover, we ordered a Lobster mac & cheese, which I really recommend plus asking to add extra salt as it seemed a salt-free mac and cheese. Overall, the location, the ambiance, and the service were amazing, and if they care more about the quality of food, 75-Chestnut Hill restaurant will be one of the prime spots in Boson. Again, my apologies for the language.
Lovely place. A very busy Sat night and staff seemed under pressure and over worked. Food was good but expensive for the offering.
We enjoyed it and glad we tried it out, but wasn’t a can’t miss place.
