We had a very good dinner at Chesnut. The food was perfect and it wasn’t too noisy !
Everything was great. Good food, soft romantic ambience.
Had a wonderful dinner with friends our first night in Boston and it set up our whole weekend for nothing but good times! Such a cozy and inviting restaurant with good food and friendly staff! We will diffenitely come back!
As always, LOVE 75!! Service and conversation with maitre de and wait staff great, love neighborhood ambiance, foo DMD is always so good. Only issue was two of us ordered the avocado salad, and we only got two small slices of avocado in each.
Celebrated our 27th anniversary there. They got us nice seating upon request. The food overall was fantastic, just a few small pieces of potatoes were burnt but it didn’t effect the rest of the meal. Our waitress was great. Would highly recommend as we really weren’t disappointed but left there satisfied and able to take a nice stroll around the public gardens.
Sommes arrivés a 11h30 pour le brunch. C'était parfait, servis tres vite . Mais ensuite des groupes de famille sont arrivés => beaucoup de bruit , car resto avec un cadre tres intime. Mais nous recommandons vivement.
A neighborhood gem! Food was wonderful and they took very good care of us. We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday and they brought her a special dessert. We will definitely be back!
I had not been to Chestnut 75 in a long time and I forget how good it is. The food is delicious and the service is prompt and courteous. My friend enjoyed the Bloody Mary Bar.
I recommend it.
We come here a lot and are never disappointed. This time it was for brunch and everything was perfect. I had the Florentine eggs Benedict (they have 5 kinds). The eggs were perfectly poached and the Hollandaise sauce was good, not too much. The two accompanying sausages were really excellent and the fried potatoes were also good. Our guests had the chicken and waffles which they said were great. We had a table in the corner at the back which was quiet. Our server was excellent.
Amazing food and great deals on wine on Wednesday nights.
Very average American food, like from a diner or chain but masked behind a charming Boston storefront. I got a disappointing steak sandwich with fast food fries. Unfortunately they still have typical Boston prices, so the food was disappointing and the value was no good for the price.
They also overcharge for their cocktails: I got the winter sparkler and it tasted like a cheap Shirley temple, for which I paid $2 above average price at other restaurants in boston.
Overall will not be returning.
Always enjoy visiting 75 Chestnut, the food and service are great and the atmosphere is perfectly cozy during the long Boston winters.
75 Chestnut is always a wonderful dining experience. The atmoshere is perfect for a date or a night out with friends. The owner greets you at the door with a big smile and she puts out cheese and crackers for the patrons. You cant go wrong with 75 Chestnut. I look forward to going back.
This is my favorite restaurant. Everyone at the restaurant is amazing. Betsy the Maitre D is the amazing!!!
Once again 75 did not disappoint! Had a great brunch for $17 and the Bloody Mary Bar was fantastic.
Service was fantastic too.
Excellent! Love the ambience!
I eat at 75 Chestnut every time in am in Boston and it is always a wonderful experience. The staff and front of the house are warm and friendly , food is uncomplicated and well prepared and there is simply not a more pleasant atmosphere in the city. Will always be a staple when in Boston.
Everything was great except that the waiter removed our plates the second we finished. It felt rushed - this was quite minor but could be rectified easily.
The have great variety for brunch/lunch and a very large menu. Would definitely recommend trying, plus they have a make your own bloody mary bar which everyone always gets a kick out of. Not the best for healthy options.
It cured me
Place is usually stellar, probably just an off night but wasn’t totally impressed with dinning experience.
One of our favorite spots !
Love sitting in the window and the Bar tenders were attentive and friendly. My husband’s fish was wonderful. My veggie burger was a good attempt at healthy but brioche roll for a vegan dish was a bit off. We will be back, of course.
Warm atmosphere, great service.
A good neighborhood restaurant. Nice vibe inside. the food was bland and not very creative, but edible.
A great restaurant. Food, Service and General Space was good.
Cozy atmosphere and great food! Service was fast and courteous. We'll be back!
Not what it used to be. That’s for sure
The service here can't be beat! Our hostess was so lovely, and the waiters and "food runners" were fantastic! I will be coming back again and again!
Always a treat to go there!
Would have been perfect if they weren't out of bread pudding to which I had been looking forward.
Enjoyed food, drinks, and good service, although prices have risen since we were there awhile ago.
We never received our appetizer, one meal was completely wrong, sent it back to fix and never ever got it. Waitress didn’t care, she just abandoned us. I would NEVER go back there. Worst experience ever!!
Seems to have gone downhill in recent months.
A cozy gem on the flat of Beacon Hill. A charming place for a delicious meal with friends or a romantic evening. Menu options range from casual bites to elegant entrees. Nice wine selection and full bar.
I went there the night of my proposal and it was Perfect!
We met friends for an early dinner before the big snow storm and artic blast and we were well taken care of by the staff and had a great window seat. Food was very good... two of us had fish and chips which were generous in portion and very tasty. two others had salads with protein on top which were nicely done. Overall, very good and we enjoyed our nice relaxed time in this great neighborhood spot.
Hadn’t been to 75 Chestnut in 8 years. Really enjoyed it. Great ambience and you could actually hear your table partner’s conversation. So rare in today’s newer restaurants. Warm, friendly service. Food was good, not great. But overall, a gem on the Flat of the Hill.
Nice quiet neighborhood place.
Wish I lived nearby. We would go more often.
Been here many times and am never disappointed. Fills up quickly and fortunately they take reservations.
