Always pleasant atmosphere and consistently great food!
So happy to see they have extended the happy your to 6pm. As usual our food was delicious and the service was great!
I’ve now been to 715 twice and both times were horrible experiences. I’m not one to complain or write reviews. The restaurant is visually modern/elegant with expensive dishes. The menu has limited options, but that’s not the basis for my complaint. My main issue: the service is horrific (I was a server for a few years). Both times, it took about 45 minutes for our food order to be taken. The restaurant is not that big, so one would think that this shouldn’t be an issue, especially on a Wednesday. The food probably took approximately an hour and fifteen minutes to arrive at the table. I ordered the garlic shrimp with spaghetti. There was maybe only 4 shrimp and the spaghetti was dry. Don’t order it. Once we were done, it took about 45 minutes to get our check - server was nowhere to be found. I finally asked another employee to bring the check. After tip, I paid $230 for an extremely disappointing experience. It was a mistake to return and give 715 another chance.
The food was great, but my colleague had to send back the chicken Milanese because there was plastic wrap in the breading. They 86’d it for the rest of the night and took care of us nicely.
I have visited 715 several times and am always impressed with the food and service, but this was my first time for brunch. A friend and I shared the french toast with apples and walnuts and pastrami hash. Both dishes were delicious! Service at 715 is always great - friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
GREAT meal this time. California halibut cookedto perfection and served hot (rather than tepid. Chocolate gelato excellent. Horribly noisy
Birthday dinner was wonderful!
I love the food at 715 - I am never disappointed! My chicken cutlet was perfectly cooked and the accompanying pasta with ricotta and lemon was incredibly delicious! Everyone at the table sampled it and loved it. The only drawback to your wonderful restaurant is something you cannot do anything about - even when you are moderately busy it is so noisy that conversation is very difficult.
Two members of the family visited — they’d never eaten in Lawrence before. Now they think Lawrence is the best. The beet salad changed over night but it was still great, just more orange than red now. The bald bartender was an amazing server — he refilled our coffees at exactly the right time!!
The food was delicious, as usual. We always find a great selection of wines, and the service is always wonderful.
Always great at 715
Favorite place in all of Lawrence. FAVE!
Great food and service! We had a group of eight on game day and our waiter was fabulous!
The food was good and had great drinks while waiting for the food.
The food was amazing like always and the service was delightful
Very Loud. Sit too close together. Food not worth the price
This is our favorite restaurant in Lawrence. We went for Valentine's Day (a day early since my wife was working on the actual day). The new lasagna was extraordinary - and as the commercial went "I can't believe I ate the WHOLE THING!"
Consistently good food and excellent service.
So perfect everytime. The food...the drinks..the atmosphere!!! Perfect
Wonderful as always. One of my favorite restaurants.
Prices increased since the last time I visited, $21 for a pizza,
Good food. Would go back.
Wonderful service and delicious food!
Birthday dinner. The food here is consistently good. Service is great!
First time at 715. We had a wonderful experience and will be back whenever we get back to Lawrence!
715 is our favorite restaurant in Lawrence, KS.
The special menu for Lawrence Restaurant Week was fabulous! A four course meal with two appetizers, salad, KC strip, and dessert. How can you beat that? The service was excellent even though the place was packed. Plus, the Manhattan flight was outstanding. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening at 715. Very busy, very noisy, but not loud, if that makes sense. Atmosphere very enjoyable. Room lit with a lot of candles which made room seem calmer than it probably was. Loved the old stone walls and the feel of old Lawrence. Food was excellent. The steak was so tender you could almost cut with a fork. Trout a little too lemony, but still very tasty. Vegetables crisp and seasoned perfectly. The grapefruit cake was amazing. All the staff were welcoming and very attentive. Staff left you feeling like they truly liked their job and appreciated you being there.
715 never disappoints. Highest quality food, drinks and best dining experience no matter what time of day.
We enjoy this restaurant and drive from KC to enjoy a meal with our family at this restaurant.
Overall, it was great as always. Only complaint was that the kitchen was way ahead, so our pasta was served almost immediately after salad, and got cold while we finished. But the food was delicious, and our waitress was excellent and attentive.
Wonderful! It’s a bit expensive per entree, but we had a lot leftover. Also the candles get a bit hot.
I always enjoy 715. The menu has several creative options, but not so creative you don't know what you are eating! The food is always enjoyable. Service was nice and food came out promptly.
Our recent KU grad daughter recommended 715 as a good option when we were in town before the KU basketball game. We could not have been more thrilled! Outstanding and unique craft cocktails, super happy hour, and divine food. Be sure to try the Roasted dates with Romesco sauce (starter). OMG! And the chili verde was perfect on such a cold night. The Campanella pasta with sausage and mascarpone cheese (are you kidding me?) was over the top. Finally, our server (wish I could recall her name) was delightful – inviting, attentive and helpful. I can’t wait to go again!
Great design and style. Good food. Locally sourced ingredients. Downtown vibe.
Appetizers, salads (order half sizes), and one of four entrees were very good. Unfortunately this time three of our four entrees were very subpar.
Excellent service. Wicked noisy. Pricey. Cramped. Beautiful decor.
One and done.
Great food, great service and an overall great experience.
Appreciated food and service. Service was prompt and friendly. Noise level was a bit high but manageable.
I've been coming to Lawrence for 30 years and this is, without question, one of the best restaurants in town.
