Great food, great waitress, and the place is beautiful!
Our server who was from Serbia did an amazing job and made the night very special. He was very attentive, friendly, and was wonderful at making suggestions on the menu.
ent for dinner on March 15th to celebrate our anniversary. The place is beautiful. Our server was very attentive. We never had to wait as the manager was on hand every step of the way if needed. This was much appreciated. I had the filet with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had. It was like eating silk. My husband had the red snapper with asparagus and he loved both. I ended with the seasonal sorbet which for that day was mimosa flavor. Delicious! Very pricey but we were expecting it. Overall I recommend and would go back.
While visiting Savannah. Good food, beautiful facility. Service was knowledgeable and helpful but to much time between courses
We arrived late for my late birthday dinner and we’re basically the open people in the place...our waitress was sweet and accommodating despite probably wanting to close for the night which we appreciated. It smells amazing, looks amazing and the food was the same!
Very standard hotel breakfast buffet with standard hotel prices.
I remembered this restaurant from my last visit to Savannah, which was a decade ago. It didn’t disappoint. Decor, music, food and service were still great.
Ordered the crispy calamari (menu description sounded delicious). The first few pieces on top were good, but as you dig down it is a greasy, soggy mess.
Ordered mussels for entree (again, menu described white wine garlic shallot sauce). There was no sauce with the shallots, basically just steamed mussels. When I complained to the waiter he took the mussels back to the kitchen for about 10 minutes or so and when he returned them I could tell that it was the same recooked with very little sauce. I ended up with rubbery, fishy smelling mussels.
Wine service - they pour wine from the bottle at the table. When my food was taken away the waiter asked if I would like more wine while I waited for my mussels. I had about a quarter of the glass remaining and he topped it off. I thought it was complimentary as I had to wait so long for my dinner. My mistake, I was charged for 2 glasses of wine @ $15.00 per glass!
Lovely setting, and the food and service were wonderful!
Great suggestion by Open Table. We had an amazing brunch. The service was wonderful. And the food was incredibly delish!!
Perhaps during our visit, we caught the server and kitchen on a bad day. The Shellfish Chowder was terribly salty and the Smoked Salmon Crostini was not served as described on the menu. The Grilled Pear Salad was awesome and a unique treat. The portion sizes are quite generous and the atmosphere is beautifully historic. There is certainly a need for great improvement with the service. The manager did compensate the entire check and presented us with two complimentary glasses of champagne. I will give 700 Drayton a second chance while visiting Savannah next time.
Ordered poached eggs. They were over cooked and tasted like vinegar.
Best seafood chowder I've ever had. Attentive service but a bit noisy.
It was a wonderful meal and relaxing experience. If you want a fast experience then go elsewhere. If you want to enjoy the food and atmosphere then this is a great restaurant.
We were visiting Savannah and were looking to experience a meal in one of the older mansions in the city. We chose 700 Drayton because of its location overlooking Forsyth Park, as well as its menu. There was enough variety on the menu so that everyone was able to find something to eat. The dishes we chose were simply prepared, and were absolutely delicious. The wait staff was great and the atmosphere was lovely. At the end of the meal we walked around the mansion and looked at the different art collections on the walls. I would definitely recommend 700 Drayton for a special dining experience.
Fabulous food, attentive & pleasant wait staff, lovely table for 8 in the front window. Perfect!!
We went to 700 Drayton for their Valentines Day special. From the Valet Parking to the greeting at the door with a couple flutes of Champagne, we knew it was going to be a good evening. It really was! The service was prompt and attentive. The Chef even made a brief appearence to see if everyone was enjoying the food. Everything from appetizers to dessert was nothing less then superb. Beautiful presentation on both my steak and my wifes lamb dish added to the enjoyment. Every bite was perfectly cooked and delicious. The handmade Pistachio Cake Balls and Pistachio Gelato were positively amazing. We will be back again and again. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a great dining experience at 700 Drayton.
It was just a mediocre experience. We had to choose from a menu that was already prepared for Valentine’s Day. We would’ve liked to have chosen from the regular menu. The food was a bit salty but the service was nice.
I always love this restaurant however the Valentine's Day menu was very limited. Perhaps better not to go on an occasion like that when there's a limited menu
The food was mediocre at best. The menu was limited and I feel like they should have had they’re best chefs prepare it but I just didn’t get that. The lamb was raw, the potatoes were too sweet, and the fondue was cold. I would not recommend. There are much better restaurants in the area.
Very disappointing. Went there for Valentine's Day dinner. Our first time there. We chose to eat downstairs because the dining rooms upstairs were tiny and depressing.
The only menu was a prix fix menu which we were not expecting so choices were limited. I had lamb chops which had so much sinew in them I couldn't cut through. Nicest part of the whole experience was the free glass of champagne when we entered the restaurant.
We really enjoyed dinner at 700 Drayton as it was away from the buzz of the city life, relaxed and exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed Forsyth Park being right outside, perfect for an after dinner stroll. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was great. We would definitely return here on another occasion.
Love this restaurant and ambiance. I wish I could visit more often!
We were 6 people and the food did not arrive at the same time, and even not cook well. Overall it was not good experience, we expected better food because the prices..
Wonderful atmosphere. Great food. We celebrated our anniversary there. Husband thought it was perfect for a date. Loved everything!
Dinner was only average. Took almost 45 for food to arrive after placing order
The server that we had did a great job with us she had the kitchen fire our dishes in the correct manor so we did not have to wait for the next course at all, the cappachio was great. overall I would come back again and again.
The food was absolutely amazing. I went with my significant other for my birthday. From walking inside, the hostess was very nice and our service was spectacular. We enjoyed everything from the bread, the crispy pork belly, apple pecan salad, filet mignon, salmon and the apple galette with Leopold’s vanilla caramel pecan ice cream! Yummy! This is a great date night spot and the fireplace added to the cozy ambiance.
Very nice upper tier restaurant near Forsyth Park. Very very very limited luncheon menu with only five to ten entrees, and very costly. Stayed despite initial disappointment with the limited menu. No bread brought to table while awaiting lunch to be delivered.
Would pass this one by for more suitable luncheon places.
Service (Andreanna) was outstanding!
My wife and I went to 700 Drayton for dinner during Savannah restaurant week. It was a pleasurable experience on all counts. The restaurant is beautiful on its own and the menu selected for restaurant week was one of the best in Savannah. Our food as well as our service was impeccable.
Overall ok but would be interested in seeing how things go when it's not Restaurant Week. Immediate attempt to upsale bottled water was off putting. Meals arrived and mine looked like something out of the garbage. It tasted fine but no visual appeal. Filet was not cooked as ordered. Server didn't notice or ask. Dirty plates left on the table when servers and managers all stopped by to ask if they could bring us anything but left the dirty dishes. The last straw was the deserts being brought to the table while my partner was still eating his entree. Not impressed.
We went for restaurant week and all throughly enjoyed our food and our server Andreana. She was very personable and helpful and a great waitress. Most of us had the pear salad for a starter and the salmon for the main course and were very pleased with our selections.
This has just become our favorite dining establishment in Savannah..and this from someone who eats out at least three times a week, often times more. While we tend to not go downtown that often, we decided to enjoy the fare at 45 Bistro due to Savannah Resturant Week. WOW....sure glad we did. The my steak was, in every way, as good as that I enjoyed recently at a couple of top rated NYC steakhouses. My wife found her fish to be flaky, and perfectly cooked. From appetizer to dessert, everything was perfection. Even the coffee was great. We have asked friends to join us there, again, for dinner this week....it was that good. If you want great dining in the center of Savannah, this is the one place you don't want to miss.
We visited for Restaurant week and could not have been happier. My trio of lentil soup appetizer, petit filet and Leopold's ice cream dessert could not have been better. Soup was thick, fill of lentils and other vegetables, the filet was tender and tasty and there's no words are necessary for Leopold's ice cream. This is a real fine dining establishment!
Had a great night out with friends trying out Savannah Restaurant Week picks in the menu! The appetizer and entree were wonderful . The dessert just meh! I had the chocolate lava cake and it was not very rich in true chocolate flavors like I would expect a lava cake to be !
We recommend the dinner selection. Filet Mignon was prepared perfectly. Pear salad was special. Dessert was sublime. Excellent wine list. We appreciated the ambience of an old Savannah brick building with a large foyer, very high ceilings, lovely lighting and paneling. Excellent service.
Went for restaurant week. They had advertised the wrong menu in the paper. Was disappointed in the actual menu but the manager was very nice and comped us a glass of wine. We will go back again and order off the regular menu.
Best dinner ever. Brandy was an awesome waitress/hostess. Our every need was taken care of.
Food was great. Filet and scallops. Facility is spectacular.
