The food is good. The presentation is mediocre. The service is slow. It’s better than average for a hotel restaurant.
We had a wonderful brunch. The mansion is beautiful. The food was delicious and our waiter was great. They gave us a delightful dessert in honor of our anniversary.
Service was a little slow and forgetful
Everything was awesome
The food was incredible in taste and portioned perfectly. Wine was excellent. The building itself is beautiful. The staff is professional and friendly. 10/10 would recommend and will certainly return again.
Very limited menu. Was there on a Saturday night and was seated in the main dining room. There was a wedding party upstairs. The music was so loud the chandeliers on the main level were moving. It was difficult to carry on a conversation. No music or ambiance of any kind in the main dining room. Food was average and the menu limited in choices for a restaurant that has previously had such high ratings. Overall a disappointment. The management needs to decide if this is to be fine dining establishment or a party/wedding venue. It is unfair to the patrons in the main dining room to have such noise and vibration from people jumping and dancing directly upstairs.
The quality of the food was good but the service was just awful. Not only was the service incredibly slow (an hour before our first course was brought to the table) they were luke warm to cold. The main courses came at about the same speed and cold!
When we told the waiter of the problem, he agreed and apologized saying there was a wedding going on which the kitchen could not handle.
Cannot recommend a restaurant that overbooks its ability to serve it customers. Really disappointed!
The food was very good, but the service was slow. She forgot one drink order and didn't take the potatoes off one order.
Came here on out honey moon. Food was amazing(9/10). Our server was great(10/10) The dessert was decent (7/10). Definitely would recommend.
So we got the “open table” table.. no window, no view. We were eventually greeted by our waitress who was great but was also serving a large party at the other side of the restaurant ! Not her fault but managements, who seemed to be no where in sight. We received our appetizers before our cocktails and dinner was eventually served, timing wAs off and we felt bad for staff that was all over doing their best. I would not go back.
The food & ambience are incredible! We have gone to this restaurant many times & will definitely be back.
Awesome. Great food and service
Pricey, excellent location. Great environment unless u get stuck on glasses patio by the door! In and out in and out to the hotel ! Waitress extremely nice but late , off stride . Hostesses an attitude of her stuff more important than customers. Food very good! For the money below average night!
The waiter forgot my order and only brought my husbands entrée they told me it would take 25 minutes for me to get my own entrée so I just skipped it. It was a shame I’ve been there a number of years ago and it was great — today not so much
All food was well prepared and presented, portions were reasonably sized. Our server was excellent. Wonderful artwork. The ambiance of this historic mansion is wonderful. Highly recommended.
We eat here every time we are in Savannah, the ambience, food, and service are always perfect.
Beautiful old world charm, impeccable service and wonderful food. Highly recommend.
The service from us entering till we left was top notch. Definitely recommend. Food was outstanding as well and, if given the opportunity, will definitely return.
Food was outstanding! Our waiter was wonderful! The pork chop was the best I ever had! The pecan Pie was the best!
Our Anniversary was great 👍🏼
The waiter Mark and the cooks made a great job!
Our host greeted us joyfully and seated us promptly. Our server, Jay was pleasant and professional. We enjoyed an amuse bouche skewer of heirloom cherry tomatoes with bocconcini drizzled with balsamic glaze and micro-greens. I selected the yellow grouper with peach reduction. It was accompanied by a generous portion of pan sautéed brussels sprouts and collard greens. The fish was fresh and well prepared. My husband ordered a wedge salad along with a glass of the Bohemian Collection North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon (bottled exclusively for the Kessler Group by Raymond). The peppered bacon on the wedge salad was delicious. Our dining experience was wonderful. The food and service at 700 Drayton have been consistently excellent during our stay at the Mansion on Forsythe Park.
Everything about this restaurant (and hotel) was superb. No attention to detail is overlooked. We also had breakfast there. The food is so perfectly done. The service is lovely.
Outstanding service and dining experience in a historic mansion. What could be better?
We had a problem related to one of the other guests at the restaurant who harassed and frightened my wife while I was in the restroom and forced us to leave early. The staff handled the situation well, but it kind of ruined our evening. I was surprised 700 Drayton did not offer to pay for our meal or even offer us coffee or something. I was surprised that the manager did not say anything to us about the unfortunate incident.
They need to train the wait staff and find somebody who can cook the steaks. Big disappointment!
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend Drayton if you are looking for an intimate dining experience.
The food was amazing. For a special occasion this place serves an amazing meal.
Food was good, but cold. Very quiet, slow service, boring.
Fabulous food, ambiance, and service
We had dinner reservations for 7PM and the place was mostly empty which is perhaps why it was so quiet in there. We were also seated out in the enclosed balcony area which was beautiful.
We started with the Steak Carpaccio which was the best I've ever had. We also had the burrata and tomato which had very robust heirloom tomatoes that were sweet and delicious. For entrees, I had a NY Strip with an incredible sauce and a side of mashed potatoes that were to die for. My girlfriend had a seafood pasta that she said was one of the best dishes she's eaten in a long time.
Overall, it was an incredible meal!
Steak was over cooked. Manager offered to cook another one but we did not want to wait . Mine and my spouses steak was over cooked .
It was our first encounter. There was a lot of noise around us but still enjoyed the evening. I didn’t care for the chicken but everything else was wonderful. We will be back.
Well maintained mansion at Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA. The indoor patio seating was perfect on a sunny day. My family enjoyed our dining experience at this restaurant. The service was friendly and the food tasted great. It was a little expensive compared to an ordinary restaurant however the location was convenient and eating in the the mansion was a fun experience.
Six of us went to dinner after the Coastal Jazz Assn concert. We had a good dining experience and fine service from our waiter, Jay. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and the food was beautifully presented.
Of interest to note: as the price of the entrees goes up, so decreases the size of the portions. One of us ordered the chicken (lowest priced item $22) and the portion was substantial. My husband ordered the linguine with shrimp scallops not only was the portion tiny (appetizer size) but it was also missing the blue crab! We expect prices to be above average here, but we also expect what's delivered to be as described.
Also of interest is that the restaurant has "discontinued bread service". However you can order bread--"grandmas bread"--which is a tiny version of pull-apart rolls. Not exactly bread and not anything exceptional.
Great ambiance but food was only so-so the night we were there. Dessert , however, was delicious. Hazelnut lava cake.
Attentive and happy service staff. Nick was wonderful server. Food was excellent and served timely with wine pairings.
Lovely restaurant, wonderful food. Service was adequate, but not quite up to the level I expected. The server was pleasant, but didn't really seem to know much about the food. I asked her what would she recommend and she asked what did I like. I said I love salmon, and she basically said "well, order Salmon." That being said, I DID have the salmon and it was wonderful. My husband had the delmonico steak which he really enjoyed. There are so many wonderful restaurants in Savannah and this one is really good, but not sure it is top tier.
Very nice restaurant
