New Year’s Eve!
It was ok. Will not go back. So many better places to eat dinner in Savannah
New Year's Eve dinner at 700 Drayton was amazing. Our waiter, Mark, was great and all the staff friendly. We had a socially distanced table for two by the fire (which, since it was 70 degrees, wasn't really needed for heat but a nice ambience!). The chestnut soup was especially delicious on the special NYE menu. Highly recommend!
Disappointed with only two options on the menu. Food was mostly nothing special and portions were small. Price was much too high for this dinner.
Music was great but a little loud for our older family members. Food was okay. Loved the salad! The complimentary Sangria was amazing! Service was great!
We truly enjoyed our Christmas Eve Prix Fix dining experience . My husband and I were able to try every offering on the menu and each taste was better than the next . Our server was upbeat snd charming despite having be there on a holiday. The live music was a pleasant addition to the whole experience. A single complaint was the $15 valet parking charge especially since we had line up to behind hotel guests checking in and their baggage to fetch our vehicle upon leaving.
We had Xmas dinner there. Great food and ambiance. They had 2 guys singing acoustic who were amazing.
Thanksgiving dinner - fixed menu. Server was very kind but I think had too many tables. Service was spotty. Food was only lukewarm. Have been here for dinner before and it was much better. This time was just okay. Ample space for Covid precautions and everyone masked up.
Thanksgiving dinner. All food was pre-made and as a result was dry and stale.
Biscuits were the best part of the meal.
For what was charged, $69 a plate, it was a major disappointment.
Was expecting a special meal and was at best; average.
Ambience was amazing, staff were very hospitable and accommodating but the food was cold.
Made reservations. Confirmed reservations. Got to restaurant and was closed . Was told to sit in the bar. I get it that things happen but they should have let us know.
700 Drayton ended up being closed. So, I made a reservation for a restaurant that has not even re-opened yet due to COVID-19. I'm surprised Open Table let me do that. But thankfully, the nice people at The Mansion on Forsyth had their lounge open and they told us we could sit in there and order dinner, so that's what we did. Very disappointed, though, that we did not get to return to 700 Drayton, though, which is where my husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary over 12 years ago.
Wonderful historic mansion provided an amazing environment, and the steaks were among the best we’ve ever had!
Food took a very long time
We had an amazing dining experience, the salads were fresh and delicious, we had three Delmonico steak and it was tender, juicy and delicious. The drinks where really good and the atmosphere was hip yet sophisticated. Definitely dining here again.
A wonderful restaurant with a lot of atmosphere with various rooms with a small number of tables. This adds to an intimate feel. Our waiter, Dargo was very attentive and courteous.
A Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah. Genteel, gracious dining in a spectacular space with fireplaces and modern art. The service was friendly and professional. Portion sizes may seem generous. Overall, we were delighted. A stroll in Forsyth Park is also a great way to cap the evening.
We took a detour on our drive south to have lunch here because we love the hotel and the restaurant, but this time it was on a day of torrential rain so the restaurant was empty. The service was great, very friendly and attentive but they managed to get one of the two burgers wrong. My wife and I ordered different burgers but got the same one, and my wife’s was on the rare side when she asked for well done. Mine was well done when I asked for medium. The staff were great, made my wife a new meal, correctly this time, and did not charge for it. A great example in how to deal with a situation all round.
We went for Sunday brunch. The only minus was that upon arrival my decaf coffee was luke warm (at best), even the requested re-heat was weak. The re-fill was fresh and hot, but the impression was made. The ambiance, food, food quality, the beauty of the restaurant were all there, and we thought for hotel restaurant prices they were not that bad at all. I had the eggs Benedict Kessler and my wife had the seasonal fruit pancakes, both were very good.
Visiting from out of town for my wife’s birthday and based on travel guides seemed to be one of the better places in/near downtown. Location in Mansion in Forsyth nice but a little quiet and stuffy not busy/bustling. Nevertheless they made 3 serious errors in prep and service that made our experience below expectations for the price. Minor issues but annoying - left pepitas off-squash soup which waiter had to go back and get. Left crab off seafood pasta which waiter has to go and get. He and manager were apologetic and gave us a free dessert which was good, then he forgot to bring the coffee we ordered to go with the dessert. Everything was nevertheless tasty and everyone was nice but these amateurish glitches shouldn’t have occurred at a supposedly high end place.
700 Drayton is a beautiful restaurant, service was good. Food was very lack luster, huge disappointment for the price point. We have been before during restaurant week last year and enjoyed it tremendously, 1 year later and no where close to the 1st visit.
Will I go back I am not sure at this point. Maybe if the kitchen steps up there game!
Waiter cleared plates too quickly
Outstanding experience. Got there early, and essentially had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The staff was excellent and the food, amazing! Highly recommend for any date night with your special someone.
A quiet oasis on a Saturday in a Savannah bustling with tourists. My elderly mother and I had a delicious brunch in a beautiful, uncrowded setting.
Lovely environment. Food was good.
Hostess was clueless and told us to wait for a table at the bar since we were 10 minutes early. She said she would get us shortly. A half hour later we went to find the hostess to see what happened. She had totally forgotten about us. Surprising for such a supposedly well run establishment.
Always wonderful in every way!
Beautiful restaurant with several intimate rooms so there was almost no noise.
Service was outstanding. Food came in a timely fashion. A snall but varied menu..
Not rushed to leave.
We ordered the filet you could cut it with a fork. The server was very nice. It was delicious I would definitely go again.
Food at brunch was very good. Service was willing but slow.
700 Drayton did not disappoint once again! The food was spectacular as were the drinks. This is our second time having supper here and it was great. We started with the raw oysters and they were divine! I had the scallops with purple rice and sweet potatoes and my husband had the pork chops with collard greens that he really enjoyed. It was all perfect. We will always return to our favorite spot and highly recommend it to others!
We had a wonderful dining experience at 700 Drayton. The building was so inviting, and unique. We had a table by a window, and while there was a wedding reception happening in the adjacent room, our dinner was quiet, warm, and welcoming. The food was incredible, and we could not had a better evening. After dinner, we talked across the street to Forsythe Park. We cannot wait to return!
The restaurant is housed in a magnificent old mansion and is just dripping with authentic historic charm. The food was delicious and the ambiance unrivaled. We went for brunch but will be definitely going back for dinner.
Went for a Valentine's dinner and they had a fixed price menu. At best everything was ok. Nothing special. Not a good value for the price.
Worst food, worst service, worst prices. The food tasted like leftover food, the fish is over cooked and the risotto is bitter, even the desert is terrible. You can get the better quality at the supermarket. our reservation is at 9:15pm, but the waitress keep rushing us to leave.
Cadian our server was excellent. We were not overjoyed by the food, it was decent, but not outstanding, or special, quite honestly. the ambiance was great....quiet good lighting and surroundings, etc. It was overpriced for the taste of the food and the amount.
The lobster was a little undercooked. The cheese for 2 was watery and dipping pieces were too small.
It was ok. The hostess was nice but boring. I made a reservation but was seated after a couple who walked in before me...I thought that's why you made reservations. Ordered chicken and waffles. Chicken was kind of dark and the waffles were under cooked. The best part was my mimosa. Lol otherwise I won't be going again anytime soon.
The service was extremely slow, the food was lack luster at best and the menu did not give adequate descriptions of the meals.
Our server did an excellent job. We were seated in a cozy alcove with a fire in the fireplace. The setting is lovely. The noise level was very low—we could easily carry on a conversation. We had the Land and Sea. Tenderloin, blue crab and shrimp. Mashed potatoes and asparagus. Food was good, including the spicy calamari appetizer.
Amazing food, SUPER quiet and romantic restaurant, excellent service. Beautiful place, easy parking, we will return!
Yes, you can generally book this restaurant by choosing the date, time and party size on OpenTable. Due to local restrictions, this restaurant may not be accepting reservations at the moment.
