It was very good to excellent.
The place needed to be clean. The food was just ok.. in the past the environment was soooo clean and cozy. Food had perfection to it. This time was very disappointing.
The food was great as well as the atmosphere and we had amazing service. We will definitely be back.
It is now our favorite date night restaurant. We love the food, atmosphere and staff!
My husband was raised in Savannah, and the dinning room was the old Fox and Weeks Funeral parlor. Interesting? Would never guess, the building is beautiful.
We celebrated a birthday on our visit & the request for a certain table was honored. My husband started with the Caesar Salad & I ordered the Pear salad. The Caesar salad was good but the Pear salad was exceptional. Our Entrees consisted of the Filet for $42 & Salmon which was $30. Both Entrees were prepared exactly as requested & served with very nice sides. The filet was large, very thick & done perfect.. The Salmon was also excellent . Our waiter Mark was friendly & very attentive which made for an enjoyable evening. Another pro with 700 Drayton @ the Mansion on Forsyth is there is valet parking available which alleviates the need to search for parking.
It was our 14th wedding anniversary and we were pleased with the restaurant.
Food was delicious, our waiter Mark was super helpful and the ambiance was perfect! A wonderful way to celebrate my birthday! 💙
Food and service were excellent. Thaw Leopards ice cream for desert was off the chart.
We went on a Sunday evening so it was very quiet. Our server Brandy was excellent, she took time to explain the menu, provided a little history on the property and afterwards invited us to look around the place. You can tell it would have been a beautiful place. The appetizers (Salad & mussels) were very good. Suggest the mussels be served in a larger bowls, so the broth can be reached easily. For entrees, we both had the Salmon, very good!! The dessert was the chocolate/pecan pie. The size was perfect, small bites, but the texture/taste was just OK
A great brunch after Sunday Mass.
Went for Anniversaryand was very impressed. Food was superb as was service and management. Nice location and atmosphere.
Excellent food with great vegetarian options, all served in hefty portions. Wait staff was helpful and had good advice. Especially if you stay at the Mansion, make sure you schedule at least one dinner here, it is well worth it!
They were open New Years Day for late Dinner. We realized that the wait staff would be thin because it was a holiday. Food was awesome and the one waitress that was running the bar and the eating area single handily did a good job.
Water was not kept filled. Butter was not brought with Biscuits or pancakes.
Sad to say that this was not at all a good meal for New Year’s Eve.
Really wonderful atmosphere and good food. Great fir special occasion.
Not alot of options for New Year's Eve meal. We're not given any other choices than 5 course meal for $109 per person.
Went on New Years Eve and got the pris fixe menu. Service was awesome, food wasn’t. Probably won’t be back.
New Years Eve... menu was exquisite and the service was impeccable. Outstanding holiday experience.
We really enjoyed our meal. But the best part was the lobster and crab bisque! It was the best we ever had, highly recommend.
The food was delicious and our server was great! However, we felt very unwelcome by the host when we came in. We arrived with our 2 children shortly after 7:30 and he told us that because we didn’t have a reservation, we wouldn’t be seated until after 8. We looked around and there were several empty tables. I asked if they weren’t seating all the tables and he said, “The people are coming.” We decided to leave and take a walk. While walking I checked Open Table and it turned out they had reservations available every 15 minutes starting at 7:45. We made a reservation, walked back in, and told the host we had a reservation. He asked for our name, rolled his eyes, then went back to the kitchen. He then came back and sat us. It made us feel like he didn’t want us there. I’m not sure if it was because we had kids with us, but he wasn’t friendly at all. Once we got through that hurdle, our experience was very enjoyable. The food was great and our server was very nice and accommodating. I would recommend the burrata as an appetizer and scallops for dinner!
I was not told when booking the reservation for Christmas day that the dinner would be buffet and not in the mansion. Was looking forward to seeing the mansion, not the ballroom of the hotel. The buffet food was lukewarm and very average... Price outrageous @ $69.00 per person.
It was my first visit. Very pleasant and inviting! Definitely not stuffy and was quite down to earth. The art through out made it interesting so as not the typical boutique hotel. I will be back! And I'm a local!
Great I loved the place, would come back at anytime
We really like this place. It was our first time in Savannah and we couldnt pick a better place than this. We enjoyed each others company in great atmosphere. Everyone even the servers were very knowlegable and friendly. We definatly will visit again.
Every time we have dined at 700 Drayton we have thoroughly enjoyed it. We went this time for an early Christmas dinner by ourselves before the rush of holiday celebrations with family. The restaurant was not busy so we were offered a variety of seating options upon arrival and chose to sit on the glassed-in veranda which was heated and quite comfortable. The large glass windows gave a lovely view of the Mansion next door and Forsyth Park across the street. Our server, Mark, was very personable, friendly, attentive (without hovering) and did an excellent job tailoring our meal experience to our desires. The food, as always, was creative and delicious. The wine was marvelous. Everything was perfect and gave us a lovely beginning to our holiday season celebrations.
Awesome experience! Food was great, service was excellent and the locale can't be beaten.
Not great atmosphere.
Food is way overpriced for quality. Much better elsewhere in Savannah. Slow service even on a slow night.
Leisurely lunch prior to visiting the Poseidon Spa in the Mansion on Forsyth. Local crab bisque was scrumptious. The seafood cake with microgreens salad was delicious. My friend chose the seafood cake too and selected lentil soup. Both were enjoyed. We were seated on the glass porch overlooking Forsyth Park. The view was beautiful! People watching was fun. The last day of school found buses of children enjoying the park. We enjoyed witnessing their fun.
The staff of 700 Drayton are so very attentive. Everyone worked together to make your experience there first rate. Even though they were very busy, it was quiet and very enjoyable. I highly recommend 700 Drayton for lunch or dinner. You will definitely not be disappointed!
We have always had great meals at the Mansion. On Sunday night it just wasn’t good. Short rib over cooked and my land and sea was too and had no flavor. We love your place and have been many times but this was below par.
Everybody is allowed a bad day and this must have been it. We are local and have been here many times over the years. We actually got engaged here many years ago. I have sent , brought and recommended over the years but the past few times we were here... Well let say it has become - stunningly average.
The past Sunday brunch ... the food was fine but the service is better at McDonald’s. Not being nit- picky . But when paying 17.00 for a hamburger after church. You kind of expect little better service .
Beside forget the order and coming back
Refilling with wrong drink
You could tell they wanted to leave !!
But the best was when the waitress brought the bill and gave it to me. With 2 ( 4 person) families sitting there ... they never asked how many checks. This put me in a weird position to pay the entire 150.00 for lunch. and the other family saying you shouldn’t have..... I can’t believe you told her to bring you check... anyway I paid it.
I tried to contact the manager but couldn’t quickly find his/her email on the website. Because I was going to contact them directly And not leave a public review.
While visiting Savannah, it was our first time at the Forsyth Mansion. The restaurant was not crowded at all, which was very nice, the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
700 Drayton always reliable. Food good and able to have a discussion without shouting.
Absolutely beautiful decor. Some noisy kids. Very helpful and pleasant server. Food was good but not as spectacular as previous visits.
Food was good...however this was a special occasion and we were seated in a hallway like area of the restaurant, very brightly lit, with no ambience whatsoever. Meanwhile, two very nice rooms within the same restaurant were completely empty, with the exception of two gentlemen that arrived later and who were both seated immediately in one of the nice rooms. Very disappointing evening.
It was nice and the food was okay.
The food and presentation was very nice. As others stated it made you feel like they had limited space and the place was basically empty. I loved the decorations for the holiday. Bar was very good and the service was ok. The server was attentive at the beginning but then disappeared and it wasn’t due to having too many tables. I would go back and recommend this for others visiting Savannah
