My family met there for an evening Easter dinner and were thrilled with the service, the quality of the food and the timeliness of our orders. The food was fabulous and reasonably priced.
The food taste amazing. The atmosphere is great for family and romantic dining. The hostess is friendly and make sure you are comfortable upon your arrival. The overall dining experience at 7West exceeded my expectations.
Made reservation through their own website, using open table. No reservation when showed up. Owner made BS excuse. Place had many large groups, half or more were done eating and leaving. But, waiter took forever to come and was slow all night. Food was decent except broccoli was room temp, and had to be sent back. Waiter forgot to bring second glass of wine.
I've eaten lunch and dinner here but not for 2-3 years . Probably new owners. Never going back
We selected the restaurant based on reviews but the food was a disappointment. The pork chops were extremely tough, had troubles just cutting them and the potatoes were not cooked enough. My daughter had a hamburger that was really dry. Our server was friendly but that was about it.
We really wanted to like this place. We usually go to the Hamden area and were hoping to find a good local place. The reviews were all really good but our experience was not. Food was not high quality, probably frozen, and was not well seasoned. My husband and I got steak which was tough and roasted vegetables which were soggy. My son- in- law got lamb chops and crab cakes. He said it was not well seasoned either. My daughter’s gyro and fries were good. The wine was decent and reasonable priced. No acknowledgement was made of my daughter’s birthday even though I mentioned it in my reservation. Overall, this would be a good place for drinks and appetizers but not for a meal.
Food was good. Restaurant was not crowded. They put us in this small side room with a few beat up tables, that was kind of dirty. Why they did not put us in the main dining room, which was bright and busy, with some empty tables, I do not know. At any rate, the waitress was nice enough and we enjoyed the food and the vast number of choices.
Excellent dining experience, the food and service was awesome.
I really enjoyed myself the food was good especially the rack of lamb.. the place was just a little cold..
Okay, but several birthday parties going on. Not the intimate, elegant and relaxing space they claim.
Service was excellent from everyone we encountered. Seated immediately. Server Cayan was very friendly attentive. Waters were kept filled without being intrusive. Bread was delicious! We had several tapas and two meals. Portions for meals were huge! Humus and Spanakopita were very good! Bacalao and Soithwestern Egg rolls were a big hit. Will return when we pick up the kids up for spring break.
First time I went there I stuck with Greek food which was excellent. I went back a few weeks later with friends. There was paint night and trivia night going on the same evening. It was like trying to eat in the middle of a three ring circus. My friends ordered a crabcake and chicken marsala. The crab cake was fair at best. The chicken marsala was a big pile of spaghetti with tasteless brown sauce with a couple pieces of overcooked chicken. The waitress was a nightmare, other servers had to assist. We sat at a table with electric wires and outlet up against the table. Goes down as one of the worst girls night out. Shame, thought I found a new great place to eat.
Have been here several times because food is really good but this time I think I got taken with the price of a dirty martini I was asked if I wanted straight or on the rocks and said straight. When bill came I was charged $7 for on the rocks and $7 for straight but only had one drink. Manager told me it’s because straight had more vodka in it than one on the rocks. Difference is an ounce btw each and they have charged it that way for 7 yrs
That is ridiculous I should have been told there was a difference in the two. Also wasn’t listed on their special martini list. I asked at other bars since being there and was told they never heard of such a thing. Just list a dirty martini at the single price and make the Vodka the same amt in both. So if you order on the rocks here you will only get an ounce and then watered down with ice. Guess that’s how owner shaves costs. Won’t be going back for drinks
This was a fabulous find. Upscale but not too fancy. The menu offered a wide variety of items which appealed to all in our group of 8. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasions as well as a night out for dinner.
Went there the first time for brunch they made special eggs benedict for me because I do not like the salmon selection on the menu. The food was good the restaurant was not busy this Sunday.
Always love going to 7 west! Great food and wonderful service!
Food was excellent and service perfect. Very affordable. I thought was a little too family friendly. Kids running around making noise, but I still will go back, loved it
This was my first time at 7 West Bistro Grille and my feedback is Great Food, Great Service and a Great Atmosphere
7 west has the Best crabcakes ever! We introduced our Australian visitors to crabcakes here. It was a big hit! 😋
Always a bit loud, and the service is always a bit slow. The food is satisfactory.
Our food was fine, though expensive for the ambience.
This is a great place for lunch, brunch on the weekends, or dinner. A variety of good food dishes on the menu. Something for everyone and every taste.
First time here, and will come again. Always looking for a good experience with a good mix of people and its a "plus" if its easy to get to.
This is one "in-town" option in Towson that should stay on your list if you want
- a very very good selection of small-plate options
- good service
- an "open" feeling even when dining indoors
Dinner out with the girls is always fun, so we enjoyed 7 West Bistro. The food was tasty. The prices weren't horribly expensive, but not cheap either. The one thing I didn't like was that after I drank my first glass of water, the rest were room temperature from a pitcher that had been sitting out for a while. How about some ice and cold water???
I came here to celebrate my 62nd birthday with my family. It was only 4pm so the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. Hardly anyone there. I'm sorry but the food was subpar - nothing to write home about. I took home most of my chicken kabobs and ended up throwing them out. Not very good, rubbery and the string beans were overcooked and smothered in jarred tomato sauce. The rest of my family was nice about it but later confessed theirs wasn't very good either. With a bill of over $150 I expect a whole lot better. Since the restaurant wasn't busy, it should have been fresh but food looked tired and overcooked. Sorry.
Seven west is one of our favorite restaurants! I've never had a bad meal there. They offer delicious food and are not overpriced. Crab cakes are some of the best I've had and last evening I had the PEI mussels which were delicious. The only reason I indicated the noise level was disruptive was because there was a large table with 5 children who were loud and not controlled by their parents al all!! Usually I am able to converse with the people I'm with and it's no problem.
Good environment, good food, overall good value!
Great service, but small dessert portions for the cost.
I suggested 7W Grille for an after movie dinner spot with some friends after having previously dined here a few months ago for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent and my friends really enjoyed their meals. I will be eating here again!
Great Happy Hour food and drink menu. Excellent crab cake meal.
We went to 7 West for lunch during a weekend visit to Baltimore. Loved it so much we went back for dinner on the same day.
Nice relaxed atmosphere (at the time I went) and I like the multiple option seating and spacing.
The food was prepared well and delivered at a nice pace. Allways like several choices on the menu, which 7-West has. Definately a go-to place for me!
Although the restaurant was unprepared for the Father's Day turnout it had, causing us to wait a VERY long time for our meals, the crab cakes were the usual delicious.
Serve was SO SLOOOWWWW. Food was okay. Lots of parties going on around us so the place was loud. Not a big fan of TVs that can be seen from the dining area.
From the moment I walked in and was instantly greeted, I knew I would enjoy this establishment. The ambiance was extremely comfortable, modern, romantic if going on date night, elegant. The bathroom was nicely decorated, could use more frequent spot checks but nice overall. Now the good part, the service was excellent! fast and friendly wait staff. Jenna was really a gem to have taking care of us. We dined for happy hour and I'm glad because I was able to try several items at once. I had the lamb chops, old bay wings and the spinach artichoke dip. Everything was magnificent. That was my first time trying lamb chops and they were excellent. Grilled and super tender! Reminded me of a nice steak. Seasoned just right too. We split desserts and got the apple foldover with ice cream. Divine!!! lol if you like apple pie normally, you will love this dessert. For a drink I got the Pineapple Upside down martini which was the perfect balance of sweet with vodka. lol I will definitely be back to this place. The only down side was some woman kept letting her kids run back and forth from the restroom. In my opinion, no kids during happy hour. I feel that is reasonable because it's only a few hours. I'll be back!
The crabcakes are awesome!
The food was very good. The portions were large and generous.. The prices were moderate with excellent value for the money charged. There is a $6 valet parking fee if you cannot find street parking. We have been repeat customers several times.
Visited 7 West for the first time with my daughter on Easter Sunday. The food was fantastic. We only ordered from the tapas menu and was very pleased with everything they served. Will definitely go again.
Can always count on great - friendly service.
Varied selection to choose from and great food.
Lamb chops and crab cakes are always a hit.
Love the MD crab soup, spanikopita, greek salad,
Family loves the bread!
Lighting was too bright, food was nothing special.
My wife and I enjoyed this dining experience. We arrived and were seated immediately. The drinks and food were delicious. The the price, the portions were more than adequate. I would definitely return and tell others about 7West.
My hubby and I joined close friends Friday nite for dinner and we were glad they selected 7 West! Two of the folks were vegetarian and for a change the menu was over running with possibilities! My husbands meal was delish and so was everyone else's! Thank you for a wonderful nite out!!
