7 West Bistro Grille Ratings and Reviews
Nice place to meet with friends since it was not too loud and we could carry on a conversation. Staff was friendly and attentive. We did not feel rushed at all. Food was great and portions were generous. The menu is large with plenty to choose from. Questions were answered appropriately about hos things were prepared and suggestions were made as to favorites and unique dishes. Parking is a bit tight but they do offer valet service. Overall it was a great experience.
We have been dining at Seven West for many months and have written positive reviews. Monday night the experience was not as good.
We seemed to wait an unusually long time to get our food. The chicken kabobs were over done as were the green beans. I suspect the fact it was "paint night" may have affected our experience.
We did notice people who were seated long after us, ate and finished before we were served. After eating, that couple joined "paint night".
In retrospect, we should not have accepted cool, over cooked food. We were quite hungry though, ate and left.
I was disappointed with this place after reading the good reviews. I went in with too-high expectations. We usually eat at a short list of places that we like in Baltimore and we were trying to expand our repertoire. The beer on tap was flat, and our food was just so-so. We had a solidly average meal with average service. With so many other great places nearby, we probably won't return.
Went with my wife and another friend for a late night dinner. After a 3 hour drive we wanted a nice place to eat. Using my handy laptop I found the 7 West Bistro! The ratings were really high and I will say it was not bad. Just not over the top as the ratings led us top believe. The staff was great and the food was decent. However I would look some where else.
Although I have enjoyed my previous visits to 7 West, today's crowd was a bit challenging. There was one very large family group that got very loud. There was another large group of college sorority girls that decided to all hang out in the bathroom to take selfies of themselves. The restaurant was not at fault for the patrons that evening, and I certainly don't blame them at all for the loud and obnoxious diner that just happen to be there that night. I will certainly go again and would recommend it to friends.
Food was fine but the noise was really bad to the point that the whole experience was affected. We asked thewaitress to bring a piece of cake with a candle for the birthday girl. She brought it when the girl was in the bathroom andjustleft it melting on the table. It was$7 for a disappointing experience
Had dinner last evening at 7 West Bistro Grill. What an absolute disappointment! Hostess threw menus on table and never spoke. Waitress (while friendly) was frazzled and overworked, entries took forever and when they arrived (table of 4) they were cold yet grossly overcooked. Manager was suppose to come talk to us but never did. Instead tried to handle with drinks and dessert. Waitress made excuses vs. heating or replacing. Basically paid for unedible, uneaten food.
Thanks for all of you who recommended this place on Open Table. I haven't been to Towson in many years, so I didn't know what was good or not. This place is pretty good, but it does depend on what you order. Must be a good place to watch a game too, as nice big open bar with lots of TVs around it. I went to brunch, and for value alone, two people without drinks--$35 !! I tipped our italian waitress almost 50% b/c I couldn't believe it was so cheap! Definitely order the crabs benedict if you're there for brunch. They were a little thin on the bacon side order, but it was ok. My friend had a western omelet with hashbrowns, which he said was OK, but it's hard to jazz that up. We split dessert, which was a raspberry cheesecake, and was very good. Finding parking in Towson, though, even on a Sunday, is horrible. Solid restaurant. I saw a big party celebrating something, and there were a bunch of guys conducting their Fantasy Football draft by the bar, so that must count for something regarding it's popularity.
Very friendly staff, honored our request for a quit spot in the restaurant.
We ran late, called and were told we'd be seated whenever we get there.
Food was good. My wife and I enjoyed our chicken, our kids have Gyros and the grand kids had appetizers. Everyone was happy.
Drinks a tad on the higher side ($12 for a Four Roses Manhattan). Other than that everything else was very good including service (kept water glasses filled). Very good portions on the chicken kabobs, veggies and gyro's. Crab soup was excellent with nice pieces of crab, and right level of seasoning.
I am a regular guest at 7 West. The service fell short this time. Although there was only one other table seated in the restaurant, our server was not very attentive. Drinks were empty for extended periods of time, and she did not seem to notice. We had to flag her down and ask for refills each time.
We chose this restaurant for to meet with friends for dinner. The staff was cheery and helpful. The food was good and served in a timely manner. Some areas in the restaurant were noisier than others. Nothing fancy as far as decor, but still a good local place to go.
It was really nice to find a good restaurant that stays open late. Our experience was excellent. The food was great; the portions were enough and the service was supurb. 7 West Bisto had a friendly atmosphere; it was quiet and clean. We will definitely come back.
I was introduced to this restaurant a few years ago as my good friend was bragging about how wonderful it was. This became one of my favorite restaurants on my first visit - I totally understood what my friend was so excited about. In fact, I began introducing my family and friends to this restaurant and it quickly became a favorite for all.
7 West Bistro has a friendly, warm, casual atmosphere. It's great for a date night, dinner with friends, or simply a casual family meal. The wait staff works well together and they try to make sure your happy and needs are met at all times. The menu is perfect - they have a little bit of everything. You can have a smaller meal or a big meal and either way you will be completely satisfied. Personally, the crab cakes are a hit with me and they are as big as a softball!
Last, the Managing Partner is outstanding. Even on the busiest of evenings, if he is at the restaurant he will stop by the table to say "hello" and make sure we are having the best meal possible. I frequently see him stopping by tables to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves.
I highly recommend 7 West Bistro!!!
We've been to 7 West many times and generally love it. Wasn't aware of belly dancers on first Sunday of each month and there was a big party on the platform. What we thought would be a quiet dinner with our Mother ended up being loud and distracting. The party on the platform had kids that were running up and down the ramp, which added greatly to the noise level. Service was also slow due to everything that was going on. The food was great, as always, just bad timing. We will return, just hopefully on a less busy evening.
The outside of the building does not look like much but the interior is spacious and inviting. The menu is ambitious but does not disappoint. The Taramousalata was fantasticly light, fresh, and creamy. The Steak Salad was delicious and loaded with olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, artichokes, roasted pepper..... And the house dressing was amazing with little slivers of parmesan cheese. My dinner companion had the Shrimp Salad which came topped with many huge and gorgeous grilled shrimp. The Lemocello Marcapone cake was delightfully light and tasty. I can't wait to go back and try the many other tempting offerings. The service was "top drawer" and the prices are very reasonable. We had Theater Reservations and were running late when we got there but our server helped us finish in plenty of time. I am sorry that I did not know about this place sooner.
