7 West Bistro Grille Ratings and Reviews
Have been here several times because food is really good but this time I think I got taken with the price of a dirty martini I was asked if I wanted straight or on the rocks and said straight. When bill came I was charged $7 for on the rocks and $7 for straight but only had one drink. Manager told me it’s because straight had more vodka in it than one on the rocks. Difference is an ounce btw each and they have charged it that way for 7 yrs
That is ridiculous I should have been told there was a difference in the two. Also wasn’t listed on their special martini list. I asked at other bars since being there and was told they never heard of such a thing. Just list a dirty martini at the single price and make the Vodka the same amt in both. So if you order on the rocks here you will only get an ounce and then watered down with ice. Guess that’s how owner shaves costs. Won’t be going back for drinks
First time here, and will come again. Always looking for a good experience with a good mix of people and its a "plus" if its easy to get to.
This is one "in-town" option in Towson that should stay on your list if you want
- a very very good selection of small-plate options
- good service
- an "open" feeling even when dining indoors
Dinner out with the girls is always fun, so we enjoyed 7 West Bistro. The food was tasty. The prices weren't horribly expensive, but not cheap either. The one thing I didn't like was that after I drank my first glass of water, the rest were room temperature from a pitcher that had been sitting out for a while. How about some ice and cold water???
I came here to celebrate my 62nd birthday with my family. It was only 4pm so the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. Hardly anyone there. I'm sorry but the food was subpar - nothing to write home about. I took home most of my chicken kabobs and ended up throwing them out. Not very good, rubbery and the string beans were overcooked and smothered in jarred tomato sauce. The rest of my family was nice about it but later confessed theirs wasn't very good either. With a bill of over $150 I expect a whole lot better. Since the restaurant wasn't busy, it should have been fresh but food looked tired and overcooked. Sorry.
Seven west is one of our favorite restaurants! I've never had a bad meal there. They offer delicious food and are not overpriced. Crab cakes are some of the best I've had and last evening I had the PEI mussels which were delicious. The only reason I indicated the noise level was disruptive was because there was a large table with 5 children who were loud and not controlled by their parents al all!! Usually I am able to converse with the people I'm with and it's no problem.
From the moment I walked in and was instantly greeted, I knew I would enjoy this establishment. The ambiance was extremely comfortable, modern, romantic if going on date night, elegant. The bathroom was nicely decorated, could use more frequent spot checks but nice overall. Now the good part, the service was excellent! fast and friendly wait staff. Jenna was really a gem to have taking care of us. We dined for happy hour and I'm glad because I was able to try several items at once. I had the lamb chops, old bay wings and the spinach artichoke dip. Everything was magnificent. That was my first time trying lamb chops and they were excellent. Grilled and super tender! Reminded me of a nice steak. Seasoned just right too. We split desserts and got the apple foldover with ice cream. Divine!!! lol if you like apple pie normally, you will love this dessert. For a drink I got the Pineapple Upside down martini which was the perfect balance of sweet with vodka. lol I will definitely be back to this place. The only down side was some woman kept letting her kids run back and forth from the restroom. In my opinion, no kids during happy hour. I feel that is reasonable because it's only a few hours. I'll be back!
The food was very good. The portions were large and generous.. The prices were moderate with excellent value for the money charged. There is a $6 valet parking fee if you cannot find street parking. We have been repeat customers several times.
My hubby and I joined close friends Friday nite for dinner and we were glad they selected 7 West! Two of the folks were vegetarian and for a change the menu was over running with possibilities! My husbands meal was delish and so was everyone else's! Thank you for a wonderful nite out!!
My parents and I ate at 7 West Bistro on a busy Saturday evening. They offer valet service, which charged around $5.00, which is definitely worth it considering the lack of parking in the area. The volume in the dining area was surprisingly low given how crowded the restaurant was. We were pleasantly surprised, especially after dining at some "hot" restaurants in Baltimore which were so noisy that it made the dining experience unbearable. Our waiter (I can't remember his name, unfortunately) was amazing. He was courteous, attentive, and predicted our needs before we did.
The food was spectacular. We started with the Maryland crab soup, which I highly recommend. It was flavorful but not over-spiced. We had the shrimp gyro (packed with shrimp), the crab cakes (tasty, HUGE, and filled with lump crab meat - unbelievable for the price!), and a burger (reportedly very good, although I didn't try it). As for our sides, we tried the fries, balsamic veggies, and rice pilaf. I didn't care for the rice pilaf and I don't often enjoy cooked vegetables in restaurants, as they can be overdone, but the balsamic vinegar gave the vegetables enough flavor that I actually enjoyed them, and I would order them again. The best part of the meal was our desert, however. We had a slice of lemon mascarpone cake, which was just the right balance of sweet and tart. I'm not a fan of very sweet desserts, so this was really a treat. It was light and paired perfectly with a coffee.
Although I can't remember the exact prices, our meal came out to less than $80.00 (before tip). We had an appetizer, 3 entrees and a dessert... it was a definite bargain for the high quality of the food and the service. Highly recommended.
We were impressed with the personal service. Drinks and food arrived quickly. Ordered two martinis (7 West Martini and Blue Sky Margarita) off the Happy Hour Menu and both were disappointing. Appreciated Happy Hour specials on a Saturday afternoon!!
Will definitely visit again and hopefully drinks will be better.
Service was awful, waitress dropped off our meal and never came back, never checked to see if the food was okay, not even a water refill. It was at least an hour before she returned and the restaurant was not crowded. Valet was the best thing about the visit.
