Overall a good experience, Food was well prepared and presented nicely, our waiter was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was enjoyable and not too loud. Just a few distractions from our visit that prevents it from being rated higher: they were in the process of updating their menu, so unfortunately the 2 items on the menu that I was looking at for dinner were not available, and not made known until our order was being placed.
Dinner specials were offered, but not the associated pricing - making some in our party uncomfortable to ask and not want to order the specials. Aside from those critical items, I would return again for an enjoyable meal.
Waiter Charlie a great sense of humor and an excellent waiter. He was non intrusive as we chatted away.
Excellent salmon and walleye sandwich. Service was impeccable.
676 was quite tasty and my team enjoyed the soup and sandwiches we ordered. The restaurant was super quiet on a Friday afternoon.
So far the best restaurant we have tried in chicago. Everything was absolutely perfect. The table, server (Adrian), and overall experience. Worth every penny!!
They went above and beyond from beginning to end. Highly highly recommend !!
The waiter was amazing. The food was fantastic s/o to the chef. The scenery of Michigan Ave was great! This is my second time going and it won’t be my last!
We celebrated our 1 year Anniversary there on Saturday and LOVED it! This we plan to go there every year moving forward. The food was wonderful, as was the service. They made everything really special for us. Thank you 676!!!
A hidden gem! Great view! Great service!
Perfect ambience and food was sooo good!
We will add it to the list of Our neighborhood restaurants.
Great restaurant week menu! Great food!
Thanks 676
Restaurant week dinner, great experience. We’ve done this a couple of years now and keep going back. The charcuterie and first course were outstanding, I highly recommend the tomato soup and grilled cheese. The main courses were a bit bland, hence 4 stars. The big change this year, literally and figuratively was the desert. Huge chocolate cake slice which almost killed me. I loved it.
Decent food though premium pricing, nice view and cozy atmosphere
Very nice environment. Food was superb. Although it was Chicago Restaurant Week which offered special menu, I ordered a la carte. Deviled eggs was a good-sized appetizer with a tiny rash of bacon and salmon roe on the boiled egg (egg yolk was separately seasoned with salt and dill).
The entrees I picked the pick of the season: pheasant! Great taste and great size. Pan fried pheasant with pear which can reduce the grease feeling. What a good combination.
Had a business lunch at 676 and thought the atmosphere and food was very good. Will visit again and would recommend.
I eat at 676 last year for dinner around New Years and had a terrible meal and service but I would recommend this restaurant for brunch. The service was good, they have good coffee, and the food was tasty as well. I did think that $25 per plate for brunch was a little expensive. All in all this was a good experience.
Terrible “walleye” which I am reasonably sure wasn’t walleye. Terrible strange smoky flavor and gummy texture. Awful. To their credit, they credited the amount of the “fish” and provided a free dessert. But honestly awful meal. I won’t be back
Uninspired menu that still said "Spring/Summer 2017 in December??? Consider that AND they were "out" of their pasta entree which was one of the 6 or so offered makes one wonder how well they are doing? Service staff was knowledgeable, helpful and professional.
Excellent service, great food and a gorgeous view!
Restaurant smelled like a deep fryer (and so did our clothes after dining). The appetizers were good, we had the deviled eggs and bacon wrapped dates, but the mushroom risotto wasn't properly cooked and the smoked chicken was average at best.
And, although the restaurant was fairly empty, it took forever to get our check.
I was disappointed in what I would call a very limited menu for lunch. Hamburger, chicken salad....almost all sandwiches in a time when many people are avoiding carbs and gluten.
The charcuterie array we sampled was ok but uninspiring. I was expecting more creativity and more options. I can get very good hamburgers and chicken salad for much less money. Oh and they left the sugar cube out of my champagne cocktail ....one of the things I like best about a classic champagne cocktail is the increasing sweetness as you drink it
Both the steak and fish were perfect. The best steak I've had in a very long time.
Beautiful place with amazing view, had delicious dinner, great customer service.
We had the cheese and charcuterie which had inventive selection and pairings with spreads which elevated the excellent quality. Would order again. The lamb was perfection! If you love perfectly seasoned and cooked lamb chops, Go Here! The restaurant side is more elegant and romantic but still comfortable while you can catch the game on TV on the bar side. We went early to catch a show afterwards and service was efficient yet non-obtrusive.
Very good place for a business lunch - enjoyed it, and recommend it.
We both ordered the Strauss Steak and the fries were way too salty. It was inedible.
We enjoyed the avocado gazpacho, the tapas iberco ham wrapped dates stuffed with manchego, and the pork tenderloin as well as the beef short ribs. They accommodated my gluten free request and provided options for desert. I selected the deconstructed whipped cheesecake with strawberry jam (delicious) on the bottom. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. The window view was great with practically floor to ceiling windows.
interesting, eclectic menu. Had jalapeno gazpacho and white fish niciouse salad.
light portions and very healthy. Bread was lovely
We used 676 for a during dinner rehearsal for a business presentation we had to give the next day. The staff was very accommodating in putting us in a quiet spot and the service was amazing in how they kept the table clear of clutter so we could spread out our laptops and notes. Well done 676!! Thanks.
My companion and I both had the brunch buffet. Everything was quality. Service matched. It was nice to see some gluten free bread options on the buffet. We would definitely dine here again.
Really nice menu options, great tasting food, good wine list, attentive service and a people watching view of Michigan Avenue.
Terrific dinner for 6 people, which included a variety of cheeses and meats as appetizers and some great wines. This was a Saturday evening, and the restaurant had surprisingly few patrons. Nonetheless, we had a great meal, and we would all certainly come back.
Quiet with great food and view. Relaxing lunch.
We chose 676 for its proximity to our friends conference location. Our experience was good. The experience was above your typical overpriced, slow service hotel restaurants. The décor and seating are nice and comfy. There's an open kitchen. The menu is fairly typical at lunch (burger, sandwiches, salads) with options for carnivores and vegetarians alike. I loved the iced tea. Sounds crazy, right? But, they brought me a glass pitcher with hot tea brewing in it set over a larger pitcher of ice. Fabulous!
676 is my go-to when I want to impress out of town guests with good food and great views. The service staff goes out of their way to make things nice and special. I simply have to look at someone and they are asking what they can do. I always enjoy my experience at this classy place.
We enjoyed our meal at 676. The food was excellent. The waiter was most courteous & helpful. I had many special dietary request which he happily honored.
An incredible dining experience all the way around. Food was amazing. Wine was great. Atmosphere and service was excellent. A great restaurant for sure!
Great restaurant. Had something for everyone and very accommodating for those with dietary restrictions. Expensive but worth it!
Great atmosphere. Great food. The cheese cave was wonderful- great pairings. Unique cocktails. Had the chicken and salmon. Banana crepes flambé- wonderful!
Service was beyond what I expected. Would def go back again soon
Love the breakfast here at 676. Great selection, something for everyone.
Food was underwhelming, but service was great.
