676 Restaurant focuses on using ingredients from Midwest and local farmers whenever possible. The fare is approachable, organic and sustainable - local food treated the way it was intended. Chef accentuates the food selection with an ever changing selection of hand-made house charcuterie, produce from our rooftop gardens located on the sundeck at the Omni Chicago Hotel and pork from the exclusive Acorn Edition IV pig out of Norwalk, Iowa. Chef and her culinary team’s dishes will bring back memories of fishing from the dock for bluegill, hunting game in the north woods, summers spent picking apples from the orchard trees hoping not to get caught and standing in awe at the plethora of jarred food under grandma’s basement stairs. Victor has been my waiter twice, and I love his attention to our needs, as well as giving us privacy when needed. His wine recommendations have been perfect, and I look forward to returning soon.

The atmosphere of the restaurant, overlooking Michigan Avenue is the best-kept secret in Chicago!

Waiter had too many tables and was not attentive or concerned about our order. I had to wait 25 minutes after receiving my steak for my potatoe.

The service was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. The Bloody Mary was spicy & excellent but the rectangular ice made it difficult to drink. We had a humus appetizer that was yummy. There were no complaints at all from our group of four. I definitely recommend this restaurant

All was at a standard that is indicative of a luxury establishment. However, I will say that the food was a bit salty. Specifically, the au gratin potatoes and the filet. So, in future, I'll remember to request for the servers to go easy on the salt. But again, other than that, it was a fine experience overall.

We went Christmas Day and the noise level was almost quiet but nice. Service was amazing and everyone in the dinner party enjoyed their meal. I had the Cobia and it was cooked to perfection! Filet was delicious! Service was impeccable as we never had to look for or wait on our server. Would definitely go back!

676 is not the same. Attention to details we appreciated in years past -- coat check, hosts greeting us on arrival, nice napkins that did not shed like a German shepherd on our black clothing -- were missing. So were many customers. The place was nearly empty. The food was good but not exceptional. Service was fine. But this restaurant used to be a destination for us. No more.

We spent a great Saturday night at this restaurant just before Xmas. A little pricy, (for a Milwaukean but not downtown Chicago) food and service top notch. Would definitely go back.

We requested a quiet table and got put next to a group of very loud women. It was my birthday and was mentioned in the reservation. Service was worse than usual and nothing mentioned about bday. Disappointed. This is our special occasion spot. May need to find a new one.

The service was outstanding, they remember us from a previous night right down to what we prefered to drink. The food was great, we really enjoyed our dinner. We will be recommending 676 to friends when they visit Chicago.

The service staff was very friendly. Charcuterie was a great starter. I had the salmon, which was quite tasty (albeit a slightly small portion). My girlfriend had the filet mignon and enjoyed it. Great view from our table.

We had the Buffet for brunch and our server told us that he would take our order of waffles or French toast. We ordered an order of each and it took 35 minutes for him to return with our food. We had to chase someone down for coffee refills. Expected much better service and variety of food for the price.

I was at 676 10 years ago and needed a special venue to entertain in. 676 surpassed my expectations and was just perfect!!!!! I appreciated that I could make a reservation, was greeted by name at the door and our table was set and waiting for us when we got there. amazing!!! our wait staff was spectacular!!!!!

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was amazing. Unfortunately the short ribs were tough and the rest of the food was just ok. Love the atmosphere and view but for foodies it was a little disappointing.

Filled up on hummus and 10 excellent farm raised cheese and charcuterie choices including lamb bacon, duck prosciutto, espresso parmesan, herb crusted goat capriole cheese plus excellent fig, mustard and olive tapenade, and bacon relish accompaniments! Great floor to ceiling window view of Michigan Ave! Feels like a hotel restaurant, no crowd at all on Thursday night which is good, but a low energy thing. Service kind and responsive.

Stayed in the hotel where the restaurant is. Very convenient. Breakfast buffet was ample with variety of fresh fruit, cheeses, eggs made to order, etc. Staff very polite with great service.

Hidden gem smack in middle of mag mile. Food tastes fresh and prepared with care. Robust portions, plenty of seating and surprisingly delish despite pretty conventional menu offerings. We had brunch and everyone loved their dishes; we will be back for lunch /dinner soon.

We had two basically good lunches in a nice room looking out over Michigan Ave. I had a hamburger, very tasty and my companion had the short rib sandwich which he liked. All in all just fine.

This review is specifically for the 2019 Mother’s Day brunch. I’ve been to 676 fur Mother’s Day several times and their regular brunch many times. The overall quality has always been very good and for Mother’s Day in the past they’ve really gone all out with beautiful displays and many stations and an abundance of different types of food. This year’s Mother’s Day brunch was mediocre compared to years past and my husband and I were really disappointed. Displays were not as many and more blah, they kind of had the stations crammed together, and the range of food options were more limited. In the past they must have actively advertised the brunch because there were always lots of well dressed families there and the place was packed. This year the crowd was really light and most people looked like they had just rolled in from the hotel upstairs and weren’t really there to celebrate Mother’s Day. The experience wasn’t worth the $66/person. The desserts were almost inedible; very poor flavor on the baked goods.

They’ve clearly changed their approach and it made me wonder if they have new management.

Overall the food was fine but nothing special. I’m sad to say that this year’s experience is causing me to rethink my go-to restaurant for celebrating Mother’s Day.

I really like the Omni Hotel. this was my first visit. The breakfast food was good except the sausage that I found inedible. The waiter did not do anything about it when I mentioned it to him. I did not complain to a manager. Was tired and did not feel like a discussion. The eggs and bagel were good. The bagels could have been toasted a bit more, but...
