We love 660, we've dined there for breakfast and dinner each time we've stayed at the Anglers. They're very friendly, and the decor and outdoor greenery makes you feel like you've truly found a hidden gem. It's very intimate - perfect for a date. The prices are great and the flavors are delicious. The brussels sprouts are so tasty, and the tostones with side dipping sauces are perfection! We'll most certainly be back again.
Valentine's Day dinner was very romantic at the Angler. The food was spectacular.
The food was delicious but noone was at the front desk.. we had to look for someone to be seated!! in back gardens attendants went back and forth with the waste and dirty Hotel laundy!!
We were two couples, there for New Year's Eve. The menu was a set, prix-fixe, three courses, and every one of them delicious and original. NOT your dreaded "wedding banquet" fare... And the price was VERY decent, given that we had limitless bubbly wine to celebrate with. We dined indoors, and ended up taking dessert in the very cosy, old-world courtyard. Perfect - thank you!
Ambiance was absolutely amazing--the food, however, was pretty lackluster. I ordered the French toast, and it was literally four triangle slices that were arranged on a plate. No garnishing, no extra bourbon sauce, not even syrup (until I asked). The best part of the dining was the bottomless mimosas. But, in Miami you're bound to find that anywhere.
Bad service, bland food. Not worth it.
Won't go back.
Tiene mesas afuera que son muy agradables, la comida y servicio muy buenos no nos gustó que éramos la única mesa ocupada el resto 👌
we looked on line at the menu for tapas and it was deceiving at best even though we decided to stay and eat any way as the food we tasty but too limited for my taste.
The waitress added the tip to the heck for a party of 4. and never told us tip would be added.
The tip[ added was ess than I would have given, bad policy not to tell guests.
I will never be back.
I went there for Brunch and the restaurant had great Bloody Marys. The food was also very good and the service kept the drinks coming!
Great sexy place! Live saxophone player! Great crowd!
Great food!
We had my birthday brunch at 660 at the Anglers & it was great - the food was fantastic, the service was great & the staff is exceptional
Upon arrival (as a single diner) I was quickly overlooked. The people that walked in behind me without reservations were seated before me! I was then given a table. After asking to be seated outside I was told that there weren't enough servers to handle me sitting outside. Mind you, I'm just 1 person! The restaurant has excelled food and the ambiance is great - the service is POOR/non existent, and the employees seem a bit overworked trying to fulfill mutiiple positions. Seems if they hired a dedicated hostess and dedicated bus
Everyone enjoyed their food. The steak and eggs dish is delicious. I would highly recommend it. The service was mediocre. When we walked in, the restaurant was nearly empty. There were maybe 3/4 tables occupied. Despite this, it took a few minutes to be recognized, and when we were they abruptly asked if we had a reservation - which we did, however they asked as if there wasn't tables everywhere. Once seated, our waitress seemed a little bothered with some of our questions. Nonetheless, I would still recommend the restaurant's food.
We went to 660 for a week night dinner. I ordered a cocktail from the drink menu but the server came back to tell me that the bartender doesn't have the ingredients to make the drink. I ordered the sangria instead. It was pretty much a glass of wine with fruit thrown in it. It wasn't bad but it was not sangria.
My friend ordered the salad caprese. The server came back to warn him that the chef doesn't recommend it because "the cheese is not so fresh." Of course we chose something else. The food was good but not great and quite small portions.
The server was not knowledgeable of the restaurant or menu. He said he was new. He was very casually dressed for a hotel restaurant. I expected the place to be popular but it was pretty empty.
I was very disappointed, especially since I picked this Zagat-rated spot for dinner with an out-of-town friend.
Great brunch. Best chicken and waffles!
Food was as good as the last time we visited (a couple of months ago) but were disappointed there was no bartender on staff.
Very nice place
Just outside of the hustle of Miami, the mermaid garden in the back was a beautiful and romantic setting for dinner. The tostones and the scallops were absolutely delicious, and the service was very friendly and quick. Makes me want to stay at the Anglers as a guest next time I visit. 5 stars!
Been going to South Beach for years to eat and had never ventured into this small and cozy restaurant in the lobby of a restored Deco boutique hotel. On Sunday mornings, a la carte brunch is served, so we sampled a few items like the short rib empanadas, the chicken and waffle, the shrimp BLT and egg benedicts. Everything was delicious, but the chicken and waffle was one of the best we've had. The chicken breast was crunchy outside and very tasty and moist inside. They serve different versions of the egg benedicts and we tried the traditional and the cantimpalo chorizo, both excellent. Service was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We love this brunch on Miami beach for its great food and bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary's
Wait staff are usually very attentive in keeping the drinks flowing and even though the service started off poor this time (they were short staffed) they quickly made adjustments to take good care of our large group!
Everything was amazing! Our server John was great and very knowledgable of the menu! Food was delicious and the bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary's were fabulous!
Not sure if we dined on an off night, but at 9:30 pm on a Saturday night we were the only people at the restaurant. The service was excellent (likely because there was no one else to serve), and the food was okay (nothing to write home about), but overall this wasn't the restaurant experience we'd hoped for -- although that was no fault of the restautant
Pretty standard breakfast food, nothing special, especially for the price
Douglas was amazing!!!! Please give him a raise!!! Hire more staff bc he was overworked!!
Food is OK nothing to write home about. The calamari was the best dish. Was not impressed with the ch see plate. In general I think there are better places in Miami. Be sitter was very friendly and attentive.
The staff here was very accommodating even when we were late. Brunch was great and bottomless mimosas truly were bottomless, which we greatly appreciated.
Wonderful food served tapas style - portions are generous....loved the octopus, the lamb and the Brussel sprouts!! Great service and a well priced wine list...
Will return soon!
Visiting from NYC, so we're used to great food fIt for foodies. 660 has a charming patio/arborway with outdoor seating, tables not too close together, which I like. Creative delicious tapas-like dishes at a good value - and a nice cocktail menu. Will definitely come again on my next visit to Miami Beach.
Chef Matt's food is delicious! They have decadent dishes as well as healthy options, so good for everyone! You can't go wrong with endless mimosas either! Fun, vibrant brunch place.
We loved the room and the outside tables ( we stayed inside because we were having a late dinner and it was cold). Our waiter/bartender was a sweetie and he steered us well on choices and number of plates. We had four small plates- and were stuffed. We loved the heirloom tomatoes and burrata- lamb chops, done perfectly, gator bites ( fried, so we felt guilty but great) , the Brussels sprouts and the lava cake. ( well executed). Truly delicious and very intimate and romantic. I write about romantic travel and so next edition of our book ( Places for Passion) we will include it.
Great little find for a Friday night on South Beach. Good wine, interesting small plates, old world atmosphere and personal, attentive service.
We went to Anglersmat just after sunset and were able to sit outdoors; good because the AC Was set up for a hotter day's were not very hungry and thought of the tapas menu. Instead, we ordered the tostones, the bees empanadas and the shrimp and grits. The result was a tasty and satisfying meal for several dollars less. Highly recommended!
Great food
Fabulous all around. Highly recommend! Lovely evening!
We enjoyed the tapas-style menu as we are normally 'sharers'. The variety was ample with interesting tastes, textures, and presentations. Would that we could have eaten more. When we're again in Miami, we'll be back at 660.
We took advantage of the bottomless mimosa brunch for a bachelorette weekend in Miami. The service was exceptional - lively and charismatic. The food was delicious. Excellent for our larger party size (7 guests); I will continue to bring to all of my friends for the brunch at 660 while visiting Miami!
Excellent find (using opentable). Manager John outstanding. They couldn't do enough to make us happy. Food is excellent and every dish seemed to top what we'd just eaten. Highly recommend this restaurant (part of the Kempton Hotels).
Me and my wife had dinner in our late evening in Miami beach. The reservation was very easy and John and the waiter were very friendly. Food is very good and the list of wines is complete.
The ambiance is very well mantained.
Went to anglers for brunch on day after Christmas and it was quiet. Was told by waiter that it is usually more hectic. But it was cozy and decor was nice. Food was good and it seems like it would be nice to bring a big group for brunch. Great location.
