Took some friends for their Anniversary, unfortunately the weather would not co-operate so we could not sit on the deck but the view even from inside is spectacular. The food is unforgettable all fresh from local farms.
We had not been back here since the hurricane and was looking forward to the new menu. One of the highly recommended dishes was the home made pasta and braised short ribs. The meat and mushrooms in the dish were delicious, however, after touting that the pasta was home made - there were maybe 8 pieces in the dish and they were stuck together and undercooked! Also everyone felt their dinner was over salted. The service and drinks were great. I think the place could get a bit loud if busy. Too much hard surfaces with the new furniture. The manger did remove the charges for the pasta dishes, but it was a disappointment.
Beautiful view of the ocean. Great service. The crab risotto was delicious.
Ambiance, food and service was very good- by the beach location with ocean view cannot be beat. Menu has grown to be more eclectic but also includes traditional dishes, including the chicken Milanese and grilled grouper dishes we had. Small dishes also available for some items. Starter salad and appetizer were very good. Service provided by Amy(hope spelling is correct)was excellent. Price - moderately expensive. Value for what we had - very high.
Most enjoyable dinner. Great find . Few restaurants with a view of the sea equal to this one. Menu is exceptional as well as the preparation and presentation. Service is excellent; friendly; and knowledgeable. Only downside is the noise level. A birthday party was underway during our visit and the sound level was high. All-in, a great additional to the First Coast. We will be back!
We love this place! Great food and ambiance. The staff is very accommodating.
The food was excellent on this visit. The presentation and service was very good as well. Well worth the visit.
I thought this was an Italian restaurant? What a joke? Just because you have olive oil and bread doesn't make it an Italian restaurant. Food was blah. Service was terrible. Prices were high for what you get.
Won't be back.
Homemade pasta was fabulous and service was very good. Restaurant and menu need a facelift. Steak was marginal which is why I gave a lower food rating.
The scenery was beautiful, the staff was amazing, and the food was incredible. A word of caution, however. The ascetics of the food are a bit on the exotic side. While it was prepared extremely well and tasted amazing, the look of it was catering to a someone with more of an exotic and adventuresome spirit than I have. If you're looking for an entirely unique experience with a great atmosphere, and an amazing view, this is the place to go.
The food at 619 was awesome and my server, Aimee, was attentive and took very good care of me.
The telephone number for 619 Oceanview is incorrect on Opentable. Tried to reach them all week and no answer . Was able to confirm when they called me. Made me nervous
Great evening at 619 Oceanview ...
Great atmosphere with a great view. The swordfish was to die for and the pastas are all handmade on site. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and it was a very relaxed but nice atmosphere. They had some live music going downstairs which was a nice added touch.
A pleasant evening enjoyed. View of the ocean waves speaks for itself but we most enjoyed the ambiance and relative quiet for a Friday night. Away from the crowds! Service was attentive, not pressured, food presentation was both delicious and interesting. We'll return.
Great spot. The 4 of us all enjoyed our meals and the view is awesome. Nice find
Our favorite romantic restaurant with outside seating and breathtaking views.
The ambience alone makes this well worth it. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the beach which was full of energetic happy beach goers, the sunset was gorgeous. Even the fellow diners are jovial and kind, the staff was wonderful and the food was incredible.
One of our favorite Dinner spots. Service is great, staff is very friendly. The menu and presentation is very creative.
Got there there was only one other party there and they were loud. The menu didn't have too many choices, I ordered a soft drink and it was flat my wife ordered a sweet tea and it tasted bad so she returned it... We ordered dinner and it tasted horrible, I had the pork chop and she had the short ribs... We are used to dinning at lots of restaurants and I got to say this is one of the worst.....
Divine location....gmfood was awesome too. Definitely sit on the deck!
Very nice. Enjoyed our evening and we'll be back. If we can offer some thoughts:
• There needs to be more than two fish options, particularly if the menu stays with grouper and swordfish.
• A high-end restaurant should have draft beer and ales.
• The server should determine early on if the party wants to have a few drinks before ordering. We got the impression that you were trying to move tables (and maybe you were.)
Our server Aimee was Fantastic!! Every recommendation she made was perfect 👌! everything tasted phenomenal, from the drinks to the bread the appetizers and dinner entrees . Aimee was very personable, friendly and helpful. We had a very relaxing great experience, the view was amazing I would highly recommend 619 Oceanview Restaurant to anyone!
Had an amazing experience everything was great from the food to the service thanks to tyler for making our night special and our server megan.
Best food in ponte vedra. We watched the sun set and the moon rise well enjoying great wine and wonderful food. FANTASTIC!!!
Dinners were outstanding! We love this restaurant for the unique entrees and the ocean setting.
619 Ocean View is one of our favorite restaurant. The menu, the menu, the staff and service can only be compared to the view, which is the best at the Beaches!
My wife and I love the place...
We love to come out to Ocean 619! The view is spectacular. We brought friends this time who had never been. They were very impressed!! The food was good, but not as great as usual. The restaurant was very cold.
All in all it was very nice and I would definitely come back.
Our friends are from the Jersey Shore Area and they loved it!!
The new menu presented this year is far superior to what was offered in the past. The primary emphasis is on Italian cuisine but there are many non Italian dishes to choose from. All of the furnishings have been replaced and are very pleasing to the eye. Seats are also comfortable.
Great ambiance and great service. My food was delicious. I have many food allergies and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. It will definitely be one of our new favorites!
The view was gorgeous but the food was very disappointing. The bread and homemade crackers were both underbaked. Our entrees were sea scallops and they were full of grit. The wine was ridiculously overpriced. The service was very accommodating, however. The glass of red wine that my husband ordered was stale tasting as the bottle was opened too long and when we told the server, she had the bartender open a new bottle, which was nice. I complained about my entree and she offered to bring me something else, which they did free of charge, so I can't complain about the service. The bathrooms were located downstairs in their more casual restaurant but when you entered the downstairs restaurant, it smelled like fried grease. 2 of the 3 toilets were not flushing. All in All, it was a truly disappointing experience and we would not return. We were considering joining the Cabana Club since we live in the area so we decided to try the restaurant first since this is where we would be spending our money. Needless to say, we will not be joining based on this experience.
Very unorganized, food did not live up to the menu, the view and our waitress was the best part of our visit.
The view is spectacular, food delicious but the service was slow. We had to ask for things more than once, waited for check and then waited to pay. We had 2 servers but both disappeared at times. We were a party of 8 so they should have been close by. Also would recommend having a cocktail menu.
The atmosphere is beautiful. Great to have a pleasant dinner while looking at ocean and beach activity. Not having an easier access to dining room is a big negative. No rest rooms upstairs is another big negative. Being told we could eat downstairs on patio was a real turn off. They didn't need to be ADA for upstairs, indoor dining. Server was great for service was slow.
Great, but restaurant was freezing inside.
There were 6 of us, and we really didn't care for the menu. When the food came it was not very good. It was disappointing because the food at this restaurant used to be very good. There was a large and very noisy group there and we couldn't even carry on a conversation. The staff was not very friendly. We will not return. It's too bad because it's a great location with a wonderful view.
Excellent food and service. Great ocean view.
We will return.
We went for the location and we're not disappointed. Food and service were good but a bit pricey. View made up for the high prices. All in all a very pleasant evening.
I was visiting the Ponte Vedra area for the first time and we found this on Open Table. It has a very nice and calm atmosphere with beautiful ocean views. The menu was varied and everything was presented with creativity. The food tastes great. We had the seared scallops with gnocchi and the short ribs. Both plates are awesome. The service was friendly and we can't complaint.
The staff was excellent, especially the manager. My guest were very satisfied. Definitely will return.
Outstanding Food, excellent Wine List, offering wines at affordable prices.
The red snapper was cooked to perfection and was very tasteful.
The presentation of the food on the plate was very nice.
Great unusual type of deserts, but very tasteful.
Comfortable dinning, with a great Ocean View.
Service Personal very friendly with extreme efficient service.
