   We were here on Saturday early evening Friendly polite staff Restaurant was absolutely freezing! the large window door was wide open. A table near to it has there coats on they asked to be moved. Rather than close the door they moved them . They eventually closed the door not long before we left, the food was very disappointing for what we paid the Thai skewers was skewers on a bed of lettuce smothered in chilli sauce. Don’t think we will be back and won’t be recommending to anyone

   Went along on a Friday for the steak frites and dessert deal . Steak was excellent and desserts great too . We have been to 56 North a good few times now and always enjoy the food .

   Great value at £15 for steak and chips and dessert . Good service Shall definitely be going again for this offer

   56 North is a pleasant venue to visit. The staff are friendly and overall service is very good. Food is good, nothing outstanding but freshly cooked and generally tasty. We have usually eaten there with some form of discount voucher, so this impacts on our perception of value for money. With vouchers value is very good. Without vouchers I think it is a little pricey for what you get, especially if you are considering vegetarian options, which are not as good quality as they could be.

   We used a voucher for brunch with a mimosa cocktail. From the minutes we arrived to leaving was excellent, staff were excellent, the food was delicious, fresh and large portions. We will definitely return

   Food was adequate, prompt service although restaurant was cold and we never removed our coats. Desserts were disappointing and my apple crumble was cold but I did get another warm one which was better. They overcharged for the desserts compared to the prices on the menus so we considered that was the tip.

   We used an itison voucher for brunch We both had a full Scottish breakfast which was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient it was very quiet when we went there at lunch time as the weather was awful outside. Voucher deal was excellent value for brunch we look forward to coming back soon. :)

    Itison voucher so terrific value. for brunch and Mimosa cocktail. Poached eggs were over cooked but otherwise everything was great.
