Had the Rack if Lamb with garlic mash & sauteed Spinach. EXCELLENT❣❣SERVICE OUTSTANDING TOO!
Another wonderful evening at the 555. This restaurant is one of the best dining options in Long Beach. The food, service, and ambiance is beyond compare. We dined at Tina's table and highly recommend her as a server. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made our experience just that much nicer. Thank you.
Great dinner, excellent wine and martinis.
My wife enjoyed the b-day gift!!!
Food is always good! Wish they had more of the German Riesling available by the glass.
A classic steak house. Our server Brad is always attentive, knowledgeable and makes the dining experience memorable. The food is excellent and while some may find it a bit pricy, you are getting quality. The wine list is extensive and not overpriced. One of our go-to places when we want white linen dining.
Great food! Where we sat was a bit loud, but not unbearable. Waiter was incredibly helpful and always attentive. We had a great time!! We will be back for sure!
Still one of the best places in California to eat. A bit pricy but worth it
First time there, likely last time there. We had reservations, but had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. We got a small table sandwiched between 2 large party tables. The table in front of us was so loud, we asked to be moved. My wife wanted the sea bass, but it was told it could only be served one way. After some back and forth, she was able to get what we wanted. The steak I had was good, but not as tender as I would expect. The sides were blah. The wait staff was more attentive after we asked to be moved. I didn't get the "wow" experience I would normally get from higher end steak houses. Overall good, but not great.
Must have the table service ceasar salad, crab bisque and any steak. We chose a large chateau to share. Our server and attendants were well schooled and knew how to take care of us. Hats off. Hard to find a neighborhood gem like this anywhere. We will be back.
Saw server at beginning and end of meal. Food great. Service blew. Been here before and service was much better. Would come back.
Don't Waste your money. Way better dining in LB. Service was very poor. Don't fall for the "tableside" Caesar, was a mass salad for several tables and small and only fair. Steak was good but way overcooked. Steak was served just after we started our salads...not even close to finished with our salad. Ordered a great bottle of wine and it came 1/2 through the main course.
Very nice food and business environment. Great selection of steaks, and knowleable and gentle staff.
Great service, but the steaks are a bit overrated when I compare to a NYC steakhouse
The 555 continues to be great! I ate there twice during this trip.
While the wine list is "notable", it's unfortunately so many of the wines on the list were no longer available. Three times my choice was not an option.
I felt like our party received discriminatory treatment, we where rushed out and our tables cleared without asking, even before a party that had been there before we had. A woman, who I assume is the main waitress or shift leader wearing a vest even raised her tone to say "we don't validate parking" at my elderly father when he asked about the parking.
If you're a latino, i urge you to spend your money elsewhere and avoid this place all together. The food was mediocre at best, and it was very uncomfortable to be reminded how some people still can't see past race.
We have dinner on a Saturday. Food was very good but the service could have been better. A had the onion soul as starter and a dozen of oysters and were well prepared and fresh. Steak was good also and mashed potato. We had a birthday celebration that day and ambiance was good for a small group of six people. Overall a good experience.
Birthday for my wife was treated great
Busy Saturday night dinner with clients. Place was crowded and little noisier than I like. Food was good and attentive service. One of my favorite places, but like it more on quieter nights.
Excellent service, great food and a fantastic wine list.
Celebrated my son's 25th Birthday here at his request. Food was delicious! Service was wonderful! Live Piano was amazing!
Food was unreal like always! Had an amazing waitress (I wish I could remember her name... I think it started with an S!) Great for date night!
We really enjoyed dinner. Our waitress could ha e been a little more responsive. Our bill for 4 was over $400 and at that level I think that you shouldn't have to flag your waitress down for pepper or for water refills or to get a desert menu.
Overall, we had a nice time and would go again.
Our meal was delicious. We had their aged beef, which was amazing. Their wait staff is great, made our meal a great evening. Love the idea that they allow you to bring in your our wine, with no corkage fee...
The food was really good, I had the filet mignon, my husband had the ribeye. Very tasty. The atmosphere was nice, service was great. Our waitress and all other staff were attentive and friendly. We had reservations and we got seated on time, we didn’t have to wait. Overall we had a good experience.
My steak was kinda burned and the aged steak I ordered end up sold to another table
A great dining experience. We have gone here for years and each visit is superb. Our friends who usually come here with us reflect on what makes this place special... obviously great steaks and seafood, a wonderful wine selection and great bar! But there is another element usually not seen too much in the United States but more typical of Europe and that is the incredible professional waiters and servers. For them 555 is not a part time job....they are true professionals who can “read” the table and make perfect recommendations for the dinner journey. We have been coming to this restaurant since 1998 and its a joy over these past several years to see the same professional servers over many of these years. This restaurant my highest personal recommendation
Celebrating my moms bday, the service was wonderful and food was amazing.
Good experience! Great service! Food was all good. Awesome Manhattans! Good steakhouse in Long Beach.
We met out of town friends for dinner. The ambiance, food, and service were all outstanding! The restaurant was busy, but the noise level was just about right; low enough for great conversation without straining to hear each other (a rarity these days), but enough noise to know you are not dining alone. Both couples shared a super-sized bone-in ribeye, with the delicious side of sautéed mushrooms & onions and a Caesar salad for each. Both steaks were cooked to perfection! Overall, dining here was definitely worth the 40 minute drive, & it’s a DEFINITE MUST when you are near Long Beach. Great for any celebratory occasion or business lunch or dinner.
The food is superb! The aged porterhouse is second to none.
We had reservations for a Sunday evening, 5pm, arrived at 4:50, got a drink @ the bar, lots of open tables. They called our name @ 5:10, then we waited by the front desk for 10 minutes to be seated, very frustrating. Meal was excellent, fantastic, both of us had the beef filet. We used valet parking. 2 people in front of us to get our car, took 10 minutes for our car, very frustrating.
We will try it again, the slow service was frustrating, but overall it was a good meal. Expensive.
I heard such amazing things about 555 East from a coworker, and when I checked the reviews and photos online I knew I had to go here. My bf and I went here for date night. We started off at the bar, where I ordered El Diablo, and followed up with The Cantaloupe. I love drinks that are strong and sweet. El Diablo knocked me off my feet. We were brought to our table which was close to the piano, a romantic touch. Our Waitress was very sweet and attentive, her recommendations were amazing. The bread came out piping hot and was divine! The lump crab cake was the best I’ve had in my entire life. I ordered the New York Strip Medium Well, with a baked potato. The bf enjoyed the New York Strip Oscar Style (topped with crab and hollandaise) with mash and we shared the creamed corn. I was stuffed to capacity, but everything was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating. 555 is truly amazing and I will definitely return here soon!
This was my second visit to 555 and it was even better than the first. We had a beautiful table in the main dining area. The gentleman playing the piano was outstanding and played the best show tunes throughout the entire evening. The service was incredible. Our server offered us suggestions on what to order that would meet our specific tastes. We loved that we could bring in our own bottle of special wine - however the wine list available at 555 is incredible - the corkage fee was reasonable!
Zoey was an excellent and well informed server. She kept things moving but we never felt rushed- even with a teen and child!
Definitely will be back again- best steaks we’ve found! Thank you 555 for excellent service and food!
My wife and I came to make up for Valentine’s Day. The table they sat us at butted up against a countertop and felt really cramped. We asked to move after waiting about 15 minutes for our waiter to come over. The staff seemed a little overrun and not very attentive.
The food was delicious, though. I got the Bone-In Filet Mignon Oscar style, and my wife got a smaller filet. No complaints food-wise, but the service issues may result in us going elsewhere.
The 555 East is one of our go-to places to celebrate special events or when guests come into town.
Was my wife’s and I first time dining there we were referred by some coworkers and our experience was great the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was a bit romantic! Love everything about it we would definitely dine again!
