Gorgeous venue and the weather was perfect for an awesome view of Diamond Head. The prix fixe menu for lunch was very reasonable and delicious, too! We were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary and the beautifully plated piece of cake was a very nice touch.
Service and good was amazing. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly.
Excellent in all aspects...service is low key, but exceptional. Atmosphere and view are unique. Perfect for a special occasion.
The food was very good, especially the crispy lobster roll. The entrees were all excellent. The service was a bit lack luster and not what you’d expect. Maybe they were tired? Or, we didn’t order an $800 bottle of wine.
When comparing it to similar places, the service was what stood out as lacking. We will go back for the food, the view and the ambiance.
Came on a Sunday at 630pm. Included valet parking was a nice addition. It was a full house so the service was a little slow, but the servers were very knowledgable and friendly. The food was great. I had the filet mignon and whole lobster. View was awesome for a few minutes until it became dark. If you want to watch the sun set it would be best to arrive around 5. Overall I enjoyed the experience. Awesome views and an elegant ambiance highlighted the night.
Came here for my 30th birthday! Outstanding ambiance, service, and views!
Very Elegant and upscale. I will definitely come back again.
Best restaurant in the Honolulu area from begging to end it was amazing service food music you name it it was perfect 5/5
Complimentary valet, seated promptly, great service, breathtaking view, and amazing food. Couldn’t have been a better experience to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Service provided by Tony was excellent. He kept us informed of how many minutes to our entree coming out. Went over briefly of what we were being served. Replaced water and lavosh as it was running low. Noise was minimal. Good was well presented and delicious.
This is our 4th time eating here and it's been consistently exceptional. Service is excellent, food is delicious and the ambiance can't be beat! Highly recommend to anyone, especially when celebrating a special occasion.
The view wa
All I could say was WOW!!! From the second we drove in to the second we left everything had us speechless.
We didn't know but valet parking is complementary. The valet worker ran to open my door upon arrival then escorted us to the front door and opened that door as well. After dinner, our car was waiting right as we left the doors. I was VERY IMPRESSED and didn't know how he knew we were ready to leave.
Our service was spectacular. We had 2 servers, Matt took care of our food order and another lady took care of our drinks. I wish I go the female servers name. Both made a great team. We sat at a little 2 seater table that overlooked the ocean.
Our food came out very quickly and was DELICIOUS!! For appetizers we ordered the Seared Scallops. 2 perfectly cooked scallops with a mushroom risotto, red shiso, moringa powder, shichimi togarashi, and thai basil oil. I normally don't eat scallops but I thought I'd give it a try. My fiance and I were both speechless at the flavors of the scallops and the risotto.
For entree's I ordered the Grilled Prime Ribeye and my fiance ordered the 32oz, 21 day dry aged, prime tomahawk steak. HOLY MOLY is what I can say to describe both dishes. What blew us away was the manager offers to cut my fiance's tomahawk steak!! WHATT!! Both steaks were cooked to perfection.
For dessert we ordered the Affogato. Imagine this, chocolate rice crispies with mixed berries, condensed milk gelly, and vanilla bean ice cream topped with a strawberry milk tea. If your mouth isn't watering after that something's wrong with you!! Just kidding but yes it's as amazing as it sounds.
We ended our night by taking a photo on the famous stairway at the entry. The hostess was VERY NICE and helped pose us so we didn't look like 2 extremely bloated customers.
Everything was beyond what I had imagined. I will absolutely recommend this restaurant to all of my hotel guest when they ask me for recommendations for a restaurant. Thank you 53 By The Sea!!
We had the five course tasting menu with wine pairings. It was awesome!
Not as I expected- brunch is only meant the time to eat.
I expected a better deals or special food.
Review was fabulous
Friend's birthday dinner and fireworks here were unforgettable! Delectable crab legs and amazing truffle shavings added to my perfectly cooked filet.
Nice environment, food quality is good. Waitress is friendly
Everything was wonderful. Just had to ding a star off because the burger was far from medium rare as requested. It was probably closer to medium well, almost well done. The view and server are all great. I think I liked the lunch experience better than the dinner.
Food was great except the breads. Tables are too close to each other, too noisy.
I give 5 stars! This is the restaurant had the best water front landscape in Honolulu with Diamond Head, Waikiki beach and Surfing, tour ships, and many more, I have been there for 4 times, I saw wedding party hold over there each time. $38 for appetizer, main course and dessert all included which was worth. Will be back again for sure!
Fantastic venue, excellent service and delicious food. We had a great meal. Will definitely return.
I know it's open area but maybe need to do something with the flies 🤷♀️. Always enjoy dining tho
This place has great views and as such it is worth visiting. I have been there several times and found the food improved over my last visit. the space is getting tired and it is in need of a good cleaning and paint job. The worst part of the meal was the service that was certainly sub par for a $75 per person lunch. The waiter wouldn't have made it at Zippys.
Our steaks were lacking flavor, but everything else was amazing.
The ambiance and view is spectacular. The only issue we had is there were alot of flies around our table. Not sure if it was just our table or in the entire restaurant. Otherwise, the service and food were great.
With qualifications; seating was quite far at end of dining area, and establishment was not busy. Food appetizer, lobster bisque was only Luke warm and I sensed had been sitting for some time before serving. Entree was well presented, and of good quality. Overall atmosphere somewhat formal and while not "cold" not necessarily warm either... I have been there in past, this seems to be the norm rather than the exception....however, individual staff members were very accommodating, I have been a guest of other parties attending, and primary reservationist about equal number of times. I do sense a difference when there are local/Asian participants in party.... Overall the experience could be better, given the facility, views, and quality/price.... So yes, I would recommend 53 By the Sea with the above comment. I continue to return because the view and potential atmosphere could be very memorable...... I find the time between visits expanding rather than increased frequency.... Thank you for allowing me to offer an opinion
