The beautifully restored historic mansion offers intimate dining in 8 elegantly appointed rooms, as well as a beautiful 2-tiered riverside terrace for alfresco dining. 529 serves exclusively Prime Beef, the best available in Canada, as well as fresh fish and seafood. The restaurant is proud to offer Manitoba’s highest rated wine list, Wine Spectator Magazine’s Best of Award of Excellence since 2004. Please note: 529 Wellington is a two-storied building without an elevator. Please indicate if there are any mobility issues for any diners in the party.

    Rib eye was avg., not seared enough and chewy. Disappointing. Room was bad location. Could hear everyone’s conversation. Poor ambience Service was good. Not above average. Overall - well below the hype and expectations. Was not a great business dinner experience

    My friend had the strip loin and I had the NY streak. We shared a caesar salad, au gratin potatoes, and an order of asparagus. For dessert she had the chocolate lava cake and I had the pecan maple pie. Everything was delicious, the decor was very nice, relaxed ambiance, and excellent service

    It was amazing as usual!! There was a card signed by the staff to celebrate my Mom’s 90th birthday. She has never dined here before and totally enjoyed the entire experience! Thanks so much!

    Celebrated a milestone birthday today with family and friends. Everything was fabulous! Service, food and atmosphere could not have been any better. Seated in the sunroom!     Prime Rib dinner on Sunday was unfortunately very bad. Yorkshire pudding was overcooked, and black on the bottom and sides. Mashed potatoes were an afterthought. As for the actual Prime Rib, it was a gelatinous, flavourless mess. I wish I could have soaked it all in a rich gravy, but that too was bland. Time to step back and check each component of this Sunday ritual and ensure each one is perfect before plating and sending to the patron.
