I have never done a review because I think we all have different levels of taste and expectations. However, I am making an exception for this place. I had reservations for 7 that I booked through Open Table. When we arrived, 5 minutes early, I was told that the restaurant was fully booked and closed for a private wedding event. When I told them that I had a reservation booked through Open Table, they told me that "you can't really count on that and you need to call ahead to confirm". They did find a table set of to the side-outside the restaurant in the lobby after sliding three small tables together. Needless to say, I will not be back and DO NOT recommend this place.

Had the best time visiting with family and friends and only made reservation for 8 but ended up with 10 and the waitress Janice was so polite and helpful just went with the flow! Food was outstanding everyone loved what they got! Thank you!

I would never have imagined this beautiful restaurant would be located in this hotel, but I was very impressed. Overall I was very pleased with our service and the menu. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and informative, and the meal was excellent. They have a very nice wine selection as well. I was shocked that of the entire empty restaurant, two employees chose to sit directly behind our table to discuss the unflattering details of someone coming to view the restaurant for an event.

Great food and service, very quiet--beautiful water wall. We were there at night, but In the sun, it would be light and airy, with a large windowed ceiling. Unexpectedly nice in its multi-hotel setting.

They have a new menu now that is not the one posted on their website. I had a smoked Gouda mac and cheese and it was wonderful. My husband had the duck and said it was good but nothing special.

We went to 5120 later on Sunday evening. We basically had the whole dining area to ourselves. The flat bread pizza and truffle salted french fries were wonderful. However, as good as the smoked gouda mac and cheese was, it is way too rich so eat it with caution. Our server Jen was wonderful.

I've been to 5120 many times over the past 2 years and always thought the food was fabulous. I just wasn't impressed with the new menu, and the service was a little slow and not as attentive as in past time i.e we never got our water glasses refilled till the meal was over. I'll go back because it's a great little restaurant in my neighborhood, but it may not be at the top of my list anymore.

Manager Jennifer is just the best. Always friendly, remembers names of repeat customers as they enter the lounge/restaurant, can multi-task all while smiling and informational about the foods, the area, and the hotel in general. I hope she is considered for the Best of Bloomington Diamond Service Awards in March!

The food was very good. We ate from the Prix Fixe menu and the first course portion sizes were very nice. However, the entree portions were extremely small (at least for the tenderloin). The menu didn't detail the size to expect or how much smaller the portions would be. However, it tasted wonderful. We had the Chocolate Creme Brulee for dessert which could have been better. We've had much better. Overall a good experience, but be prepared for small portions if you do Prix Fixe. Next time we'll just order off the regular menu. Amazing to find such good food in the Country Inn & Suites. Restaurant is very small with only a few tables, but was fine. We couldn't dine outside as they were set up for a wedding the next day.

WE ORDERED THE SALMON WHICH WAS OUTSTANDING. THE FISH WAS SEASONED JUST RIGHT-NOT TOO SALTY. THE PRESENTATION WAS BEAUTIFUL. I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE HAD ROLLS OR SOME KIND OF BREAD WITH IT, AND A FEW MORE POTATOES OR VEGETABLES. WE WERE A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE WE WANTED TO SIT BY THE FOUNTAIN, BUT THE ROOM WAS SET UP FOR A WEDDING THE NEXT DAY. OUR WAITER WAS GREAT. WE REALLY ENJOYED OURSELVES.HOPEFULLY, THE SALMON WILL STAY ON THE MENU THE WAY IT WAS PREPARED TONIGHT.

Onyx used to have different name. We loved it then and now. I believe the chef has changed, but the owners still have a commitment to serving well prepared food. GO THERE, and be amazed that this quiet place, in a chain hotel, has such excellent cooking, a little music on the weekends, and a friendly enthusiastic staff.

We actually never got the chance to use our CONFIRMED reservation at 5120 because they had a private party that night and simply said they "could not accommodate" us. Thanks goodness I called on our way down to the restaurant otherwise we would have shown up there and had to deal with feeling passed over and forgotten about in front of all the happy people attending the private party. Normally I wouldn't hold it against the restaurant, but noone called or emailed to let us know they had a private party scheduled. The bar manager claimed they allow private parties to book up to a week in advance, so my question is, what happens to all those reservations that were booked MORE than a week in advance...for a special occasion, like mine was?!

The Prix Fixe menu items were outstanding, each one carefully prepared. The portion and presentation of each course created a light, yet satisfying, meal that was both fun and inexpensive. The menu is limited outside the Prix Fixe, but the drinks and desert where delicious; children's menu available. The conservatory was beautiful and we nearly had it to ourselves.

My wife and I ate here a few years ago and really liked it. We returned this Friday evening and it was a much different experience. We had reservations at 7, but the first waitress we met declined to seat us "for 10 minutes." The second waitress who greeted us seated us, but again said she couldn't take our order for 10 minutes because of a "kitchen hold" due to a groom party in the next room. Well, after 20 minutes of waiting, it was apparent that the kitchen couldn't handle this small (10-15 people) party and would be unlikely to get to us anytime soon. We walked out. If a restaurant can't handle special parties, they shouldn't host special parties. If they can't seat and serve regular patrons, they shouldn't take reservations. Period.

I really enjoyed the food the prices were very good. The service was very attentive but not overbearing, that just right amount. I probably picked the wrong time for it to be romantic 5pm on a sunday, before a show, on a rainy day, but I could see what would make it a nice place to take a special person. I took my fiance and I would gladly go again. I was told to come for a sunset.

Last time, my fiancée and I went to Oynx it was incredible. We had great service and wonderful food. So, this time we brought one of our friends and hyped up the place. We insured him that he would love it. We were WRONG! Our food took forever, by this I mean it took about 35 minutes for cold nachos and about another 45 for overdone salmon. Our waitress was extremely inattentive and did not apologize for our food taking so long. She was actually sitting down with another table for most of the time we were there. It was very frustrating. We thought that we had found an amzing dinner spot after the first time. I think that we may have been wrong! My words of advice would be to sit in the bar area because the male bartender gives great service

What a delight to find a great restaurant inside a hotel, the food was excellent and the staff was great as well. The chef had made a fab soup that day and can't wait to try more!!!
