501 on Main Ratings and Reviews
The food was good, but the service was terrible. None of the food came out on time. Main dinners came out before appetizers. There were eight of us, and five received drinks while the other three had to ask twice before they arrived. The manager was apologetic, and discounted the bill, but our waitress needed much more training. Very disappointing.
Everything was amazing, I really enjoy coming to 501 on Main. This is was my second time and I love having the options of gluten free and vegan. Not many restaurants have these options and many do have dietary restrictions. Only thing that was a bit off was the service, had to wait for the waitress in the beginning for quite a while but after it was great.
This is the first time we sat inside the restaurant, but it was a good experience We love the food at 501 on Main! It's always tasty and fresh, and my husband loves that he can often get their lunch special for dinner. Some of the entrees were served on a potato crust, which was delicious! Our server was great, and seemed to be trying to make up for the fact that we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation, which she accomplished nicely! The dining room felt a little crowded, but the ambience was warm and fun. I would recommend 501 on Main for a casual, relaxed dinner, with or without the kids!
Very much appreciated the gluten free choices. Loved the onions strings and shrimp app was very good. I haven't had tempura or onion rings in years due to being GF. The pot roast and trout were very good as well. The portions are large and prices very fair. Will be back definitely every time I visit Park City!
Good quality food, especially the brisket sandwich. The steak salad only contained lettuce and the steak with a few other vegetables. Server submitted wrong order for brisket plate instead of sandwich. Bill had to be redone for overcharge on the steak salad.
We were visiting Park City and this place looked interesting because it is right on Main Street. It had a great selection, especially of vegetarian and GF options, which sometimes is unusual for nicer restaurants. I thought the food was OK, but wasn't raving about it. I had the vegetarian ratatouille, which was a bit on the oily side. My husband had shrimp and scallops which were really good. I would definitely go back even though I wasn't blown away by the food, because I loved the atmosphere and the service was fantastic.
I was in Park City for a reunion with friends who've known each other for over 40 years, and came in a day early with another member of our group. We had lunch at 501 on Main and it was very enjoyable. The staff is friendly and the food is good - and after lunch we had the chance to look in some of the shops on historica Main Street and tour the Park City Museum. I recommend this restaurant while you are in Park City!
We ate upstairs, with a nice view out through the balcony to main street. We started with a caprese salad, and then my wife and I both had the special - halibut with asiago crust and red pepper sauce - which was very good. This restaurant has a casual feel, but our dinners were very good.
First of all, the place was not clean and the service was poor. The waiter was some kid who had no clue - from wine to clearing the table, etc. The food was mediocre at best. There was just no taste to the homemade hummus or the "signature risotto dish". And, the ambiance was crappy. The music was something like elevator music upstairs and then a bar scene downstairs. It all did not make sense. And, then it was over $100 for 2 people. Value for money? I would never go back.
This was my third time at 501 and it always delivers! I ordered the salmon and on the first bite I knew it was the most amazing dish I had eaten in a long time! Seriously! The sauce was awesome! The portions were more than adequate, none of us could finish everything. We decided right then that we would be coming here for our birthdays every year. We also brought our daughter here for her birthday dinner. They offer gluten free choices which we need because she has celiac disease. They were very accommodating and we were very appreciative.
What they did right: the yellow curry! It was flavorful and beautifully served in a potato basket. Also, the place is just so cute inside for indoor dining and also good for al fresco dining.
What we didn't care for: 1) The TV was blasting 3 different sporting events on 3 different TVs- not conducive for romantic dining or even quiet conversations. 2) My Ratatouille was salty and swimming in oil as well as very pricey 3) They were out of house Cabernet and didn't offer a substitute 4) Our waitress was very sweet, but clearly not empowered to remedy problems/issues on her own (i.e. no house Cab and the very oily entree
We stopped in for an impromptu pre-show dinner and were pleasantly surprised. 501's extensive GF menu -- including items not usually considered GF candidates like onion rings and tempura -- was a welcome find and did not disappoint. Apparently the risotto is the most popular house dish, but we tried the shrimp and scallop dish over mashed potatoes and found it quite good.
