50 Ocean at Boston's On The Beach
Don't forget to check your lunar calendar and join us for a romantic moon rise!
We went for Sunday brunch. We were seated across from a large party with very young children. The noise level was excessive. It took an extra long time to order, then an even longer time to get our food. One order was incorrect so the diner waited while everyone else ate. Food was not hot. Having eaten there a number of times, this was the first time we encountered these issues.
Great view and excellent service. Food was outstanding.
Food was not flavorful or worth what we paid. Was expecting something a little more upscale and better tasting. Food was very bland. Our service was good so no complaints in that department. Paid over $100 for breakfast for 2 and was not impressed at all. I would not go back.
Food was different (unique) and very good. We came for brunch. The restaurant was not crowded. Beautiful views. Parking is limited so it's best to Valet. Remember your receipt so verify you ate there as the valet is only for 50 Ocean and Bostons. The food was fresh. Served promptly. The biscuits were still cooking and came late but our server comped them which was very nice. The bill came to $113 with tax for 4 of us. But that included my wife getting the unlimited mimosas for $15. All said, I would definitely go back again.
Beautiful views, Brunch better than average an excellent service.
We go often, always a great meal ! The Cerviche was outstanding on this visit.
Beautiful views of the ocean and beach. Food was very tasty
Beautiful decor but lacks the menu and service to compliment a great location.
We had a lovely dinner on the balcony overlooking the beach. Delicious food. Attentive service.
Great view and service
Appetizers, mussels & smoked fish were scrumptious. All 4 of our entrees also delicious. Great service & heavenly view!
Our waitress was a little snippy and seemed as if she lacked a little patience.
The food was amazing and delicious. Waitress was friendly and attentive
This may be exactly what to expect of a touristy seafood restaurant. The server (David) was attentive and knowledgeable. The valet parking adequate. The view of the ocean nice. The food while good was a little underwhelming. My salmon was cooked to temperature, but bland. The whole plate which sounded wonderful was so/so and expensive for what it was. It left me craving a good salmon dish, for the last two days, feeling unsatisfied with what I got. The room was loud, and I had to truly focus on my date to hear her across the tiny table we shared. Everything was OK, but the restaurant was just ok. For such a limited menu, I was expecting the plates to be polished and amazing. We stayed for desert and shared an order of bennets. The presentation was nice, but there were barely bit sized and bland. On the whole, it was a nice experience, but for the money, I would seek another location.
Brian was a great waiter
Delicious dinner with fantastic view! Service was wonderful.
Mgr Josh and the team always deliver a great time! Food and drink was amazing as usuall. Our cute waiter Matt was adorable, engaging and personable. He made sure everything was right for a perfect date!
Everything was fantastic. Fabulous view. Mussels. Get them. Lobster Bisque. Don’t miss. Grouper? Why not?
Great place. We will continue to go back. Great food with great view of the Ocean.
This restaurant is a special place. They never fail to provide great service and exceptional food. Took a client there. Took my wife there for our anniversary. Bravo!
The bar area was very nice and offered a nice selection of wines by the glass as well as specialty cocktails. We were seated at a nice table by the window with a gorgeous ocean view. The service and ambiance were great. Several folks wanted to order scallops but they were out of them which was disappointing. Two specials they offered; Chilean sea bass and rice balls were very good. The grouper was another dish people enjoyed.
I am not a complainer. Not our first time at 50 Ocean, but certainly our last. We made the reservation for four of us weeks in advance and requested a window table. We were seated at a table near the window but next to a table of 8 or 10 very noisy patrons. Window tables were available but we were given not one, but two ridiculous excuses as to why we could not be seated at any of them. Eventually two people were seated at one of the tables for four. The waitress was pleasant enough to start but obviously not interested attending to us. We waited too long for our drinks. The food was not very good. My salmon was served with the seasoned skin side up (could not see that the skin was on the piece) and literally tossed on the top its salad. We will not return.
A wonderful restaurant. Our waiter was outstanding and the food was very good. My husband said the best lobster bisque he has ever eaten. Location is perfect. A must try.
Lobster was ra
The food was excellent and our waiter was fantastic - however he was completely over worked. Management needs to make sure there are enough waitstaff scheduled on a busy Saturday night. For instance - I didn’t get my glass of wine until my meal was almost complete. When the waiter did get over to pour it his hands were shaking because he’d been running around the place like a madman. 100% not his fault.
50 Oceans is always a special experience. One of our favorite treats for fine dining.
I would highly recommend 50 Ocean at Boston's. Food was wonderful, the service was excellent, and the view was breathtaking!
Went to celebrate Easter and 2 birthdays. We were seated at the time of our reservation. The ocean views are stunning. Everyone was pleased with their meals which included lobster eggs Benedict and steak & eggs. Serving sizes are generous. I highly recommend trying the chocolate bacon too! Bottomless mimosas were affordable. Our server was attentive and friendly. We’ll be back!
Fantastic views and good food! I went for brunch and highly recommend it for a brunch spot!
Great food and service with outstanding ocean view!
Most amazing onion rings and lobster rolls!
Recently I made a reservation for 2 for an early Sunday evening dinner at 50 Boston. It was our first time dining at 50 Boston. Upon arriving we asked if we'd like indoor or outdoor, we opted for outdoor. Our server was friendly and provided timely, good service. Opting for dining outdoor includes noise...the Sandbar is next door and it has a very energetic pulse! The ocean front view of Delray beach is great!
50 Boston has a full array of menu options, from apps to dessert. Our meal started with those delicious crispy clams-just yummy. Entrees selected were the chicken with Moroccan spices and the braised lamb shank. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, ample portions, and so savory!! It was a perfect place to enjoy a luscious Sunday evening dinner. Overall, a very pleasant and tasty dining experience! Next time, we'll check out the indoor dining room-which looked nice and offers a more tranquil surrounding and that terrific ocean view!! Will definitely be going back to 50 Boston!
Don’t go if u want a nice relaxing experience
Sat outside ocean view ( not)
Could not hear much w the loud music from bar next door and street
VERY Casual not upscale as stated
Food over priced
Left before my birthday dinner so disappointed
Ate down the street
This great restaurant never disappoints! Our brunch was perfect. I loved my avocado toast with lobster.
I normally don’t write reviews. I’ve been to 50 Ocean multiple times with exceptional experience. Most recent visit was for 9:15 pm reservation on a Friday. The restaurant obviously did not want us there. When my friend’s “dried” chicken and pasta came out (looked like something I would eat as a leftover in the fridge) she immediately asked to switch to a baked chicken entree. She was told they ran out of chicken and was given, upon last minute request, a plate of mashed potatoes. The server really tried to save the night with complimentary dessert but truthfully all 4 of us in the party received dried “end of the night” meals. When we left (and the restaurant empty) I realized we were just a “last minute” party they didn’t give a sh$$ about. The check was still $$$ - will never return... ruined what once a great restaurant
Noel was excellent server. Explaining the specials and making great reommendations. The ceasar salad andlobster and Mussels were great starters, Halibut and Shrimp were great combination of quality fish and mixture of herbs. Great meal.
A birthday celebration overlooking the ocean. Special!
Great service with Lilliana and Jeff. Food & drinks were excellent. Very interesting menu. Very loud.
The food and service were very good, but the ambience was lacking and the noise level was unacceptable. It was just too busy and too loud for conversation.
Poor service at lunch. Menu not conducive to lunch. Felt abandoned by wait staff. It was set up like brunch and I had a table at 1 p.m.
Poor experience for the time spent, parking and aggravation.
