One of my very favorites with a view! The mussels are excellent!
Great lunch with friends. Salads were delicious and sitting on the patio was a bonus. Our server was Dee and she did a great job!
The crab cake was ok but not the size they advertise. The French fries were what one would expect at the average burger joint and the so-called homemade chips were cold. Amazing that they called twice to re-confirm the reservation since only 4 tables were taken. Totally over-priced since the best part was the warm bread.
From hostess, sever to bus service, staff was awesome
Our server David was not very attentive to us. We noticed the other server being awesome to his two tables. He didn’t seem like he wanted to be there, or maybe he just didn’t want to deal with 4 women.
Menu needs a better variety.
50 Ocean has been a long - time, reliable favorite of ours but this will be our last visit for awhile.
I won't even mention the food because we were just too distracted by the Palmetto bug and multiple cockroaches that paraded by our ocean view table.
The first 'big guy' skittered away, the waiter was able to kill another with a napkin from the next table (which he put back on said table - WHAT !?!?!?!?!). It was hard to concentrate on dinner after that, too busy looking over my shoulder ...
Get it together 50 Ocean, you're an upscale establishment with a bug problem, your customers expect more !!
My waiter Dave was amazing along with the food and the restaurant Everything was outstanding
Fantastic meal with great friends
Maybe the best fish in all of south FLorida. I highly recommend the snapper and grouper.
Both were spectacular. Service was great. The experience will be even better when it’s light until 9:00 so you will have a great ocean view.
Well worth the drive from Jupiter.
I took family members out for Sunday brunch - excellent menu with options for all of us. Great ocean view and fantastic service. Brian took a moment to come over and say hello. My first time there for brunch - we shall definitely return.
I go to 50 Ocean often - usually for lunch but sometimes for dinner.
It is - or was - one of my favorite restaurants. However this Thanksgiving meal was a huge disappointment.
Here are the reasons:
The place was totally sold out an extremely noisy.
Staff seemed overwhelmed and service was very poor - we waited over 45 minutes for a side order of cauliflower.
My husband’s hoped for classic turkey dinner was extremely disappointing - he loves turkey and trimmings but he really didn’t enjoy this version.
I ordered snapper.
Waiter failed to tell me it was a complete fish - bones and all - and I spent most of my night trying to avoid swallowing a bone - what was worse was there was very little meat and what there was was quite tasteless.
Drinks were outrageously expensive - our total tab came to $200 for 3 people and my daughter and I had shared the snapper.
it was not good value for money.
If we ever go out for Thanksgiving dinner again - it will not be to 50 Ocean.
Our family had T-giving last year and everything was fabulous.
We looked forward to the same this year, but all the food fell short.
The bread was a bit stale.
The turkey was dry and the portion was small.
The dessert ( Pumpkin cream pie) was bland and the crust tasted like baking soda.
Apparently this was the first T giving for this chef at this restaurant as the head.
Something will need to change before we make another reservation
Food was great. Service at desk, bar, and table was great. Wonderful Thanksgiving experience. We’ll be back next year (God willing)!
The food was outstanding!! The waitress was a grumpy robot with no personality or engaging. She seemed to be mad about something.
Otherwise everything was amazing! The ambiance was good and it was quiet.
Great server Chantelle? ✔️
You can’t beat the view in Delray Beach! I always take guests/ visitors here because of the expansive ocean view. However, you are essentially paying for the view as salad portions accompanying crab cake plate and grouper tacos are more the size of a garnish than a side salad. Hostess and server were very cheerful, welcoming, accommodating, helpful.
50 Ocean was a disappointment. The view of the ocean is beautiful. Service was just ok. I ordered a cheeseburger medium. This burger was described on the menu as a special blend of meat & served with white cheddar cheese. The side I ordered with it was a watercress salad with feta cheese. My burger came with yellow american cheese, well done. This burger was not a special blend of meat. It appeared as a preformed frozen burger. The salad I received was arugula, no cheese and some watercress. I sent the burger back. My family finished their meal. My second burger came out with provolone cheese. It was a bit more than medium. The salad was completely different. It had arugula, watercress, raisins, fennel and feta cheese. I drove from Ft Lauderdale and this experience was truly disappointing
Friendly staff, great service I would highly recommend 50 Ocean to friends and family
Food was cold and eggs were extremely undercooked. The lobster in my avocado toast was still frozen. Hard to beat the view, but the food needs some attention.
It was much better during our last visit and that’s why we returned today. We will likely wait until “season” is over before coming back since it seems like they do better without the tourist crowds.
So very disappointed. It's as though they just want the view and location to compensate for slow service and poor food. What used to be a go-to is now, unfortunately a never return. I literally could not finish my brunch and spend the entire car ride home hoping I wouldn't get ill... undercooked, cold and sloppy.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner with my sisters. We live in various parts of the country and we together for the weekend. The dinner was amazing and our server was fantastic. Thank you
We had a wonderful dinner with great food and great view. Great for all ages!
Great view of the ocean and large seafood menu to find something for everyone. Our waiter was very personable and a pleasure. We enjoyed our food and had a great time. I will return when visiting next year.
So I love Eggs Benedict. I’ve had them on 4 continents in almost every configuration you could think of literally thousands of times at this point. Somehow this place figured out how to make the worst Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Over cooked eggs, tasteless (maybe somewhat spoiled) ham, watery and tasteless hollandaise.
My wife’s lobster avocado toast wasn’t much better. But again really poorly executed. The toast was literally soaking wet and sitting in water.Either too much salad on top or they didn’t let it dry. It tasted ok. Lots of lobster. Beautiful view.
Brought family from out of town. Everyone loved the view and the food was delicious. Pricey overall, but worth it for special occasions. Will definately go back!
Food and service was good. The kitchen seemed to be overwhelmed!
Service and food excellent. Ocean view is spectacular. Enjoy for any fun occasion.
Although it was after sunset when we dined, we still got to view the ocean lit by a full moon---how beautiful it was as the moon danced through various shaped cloud formations.
Our waiter David was pleasant and very knowledgeable regarding menu items and ingredients. Two diners shared a Caesar salad, which they liked, and one diner had the grilled octopus. The octopus was tasty, but maybe a tad overdone. The accompanying greens in vinaigrette were tasty, and the "thrice cooked potatoes" with spicy nduja were fabulous.
Two diners very much enjoyed the soft, moist, delicious swordfish (blackened). One diner said her slow roasted chicken was "delicious." The Shrimp Etoufee was enjoyed by another diner.
We passed on dessert.
Menu items are presented nicely and offer a creative preparation. Prices are at the higher end. Full bar available. Major credit cards accepted.
A nice treat for a special occasion, or to view the ocean. Go and enjoy.
It was our first time eating here and we will be back
Unfortunately one of the biggest mistakes a restaurant can make is not knowing how to handle mistakes. Meals were cold and not prepared as described but how they handled it made it worse. Suffice it to say we won’t be back.
Absolutely looooved everything from the stunning view, to the down to earth service, and the food! Very generous with the lobster for brunchy! The Bloody Mary bar is super fun! My only regret is not coming sooner!
Brunch is always special. Been here multiple times and will return. Good choices best Ocean views
Go to spot in Del Ray Beach, great local crowd, people having fun while not too loud. Great outdoor seating. Best of all was our server Amy...what a gem!
Excellent food paired with incredible views. A nice, well-rounded menu. Good wine selections. One of my favorites restaurants.
Everyone from the host, servers, & bartenders were lovely.
The interior is warm and romantic. The views of the ocean are breathtaking. The chef creates a delicious and memorable meal.
We usually Love this restaurant! But, made reservations for Sunday brunch well in advance on open table-specifically requested table by the window at our favorite servers station. Neither request was honored and the hostess was very glib and nonchalant-not what anyone would expect from a restaurant one frequently visits. Kale salad had huge leaves of bitter kale-would have appreciated these pieces torn or chopped to smaller more appetizing and manageable pieces. Maybe not a great place for brunch
Nice ambiance and food was fantastic. Downfall would be, server was busy and food took a long time to come out. Also had a problem with a nasty vallet.
Outstanding Lobster Bisque (as a meal, you get a big bowl of soup with lots and lots of large pieces of lobster tail and claws!) Be sure to get bread with it for dunking!
Our waitress, Cindy was exceptional. Cindy was very pleasant, attentive, warm, and friendly. She recommended the lobster salad which was fantastic.
The guys ate the lobster roll, and both said it was superb!
