I called to let restaurant know I was running late and they were very nice and accommodating. We got a great table by the window and had a fabulous waitress! The service was all around excellent! Our apps were good but the entrees were not as exciting to eat and were not as good as they should have been. Great (beautiful) presentation but that's it. It was a disappointment. This is the perfect spot in Delray. The only restaurant with a second level view of the ocean. It has a great bar scene and the restaurant is nice. I'm not sure if they think they don't have to try harder with the food because they have a great location or if they do think they are doing a great job with the food. In any case, they aren't hitting the mark with the food and I'm not sure if it's the chef's fault. It may be the quality of the food. I honestly don't know. With this amazing location, all of the food should be amazing as well! It's unfortunate and I truly hope that this turns around. It's expensive and while I don't mind paying more money for great food and service, I only got the great service here. This is the type of place I want to go to again and again but the food left much to be desired even though the service was top notch.

Very romantic ambiance, and best to go when it is still light out so you can really appreciate the beautiful ocean views. Food was creative and delicious. Will definitely go back.

Very nice place with good drinks and great food and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The outdoor area is old, and I’ll maintained. The music from the bar next to it, is so loud and awful choice of music. Food was not good, seafood was not fresh, overall really really disappointing

Birthday celebration

Great service, excellent view or the beach. Food was quite good. Complimentary valet parking made things much easier.

We had dinner outdoors. Tables were comfortably socially distanced. Our meal was fantastic and the service was excellent. Our waitress, Dawn, was super! Thank you for such a great evening...

Excellent service...and beautiful ocean view. Food was amazing

It was a great first date. Emphasis on great food. We shared an appetizer and a dinner to keep cost down and it was enough to eat without stuffing ourselves. We were able to visit quietly and privately. Service was great, friendly instead of stuffy. Will return soon.

Excellent service and Cindy our server was attentive and provided good info on recommendations for dinner.

The service we had was excellent and the food was very good, but fairly expensive. We requested an outside table, and were offered an inside table right next to the very loud bar. We opted to sit outside, and this area was very loud as well as this deck seating is directly above the bar next door. Fine for a group, but this is not the spot for a quiet or romantic dinner.

Our server was David and he was very good. He explained all the specials and delivered everything as asked for. The liver pate was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal. My sister loved her risotto ( I did too- she let me taste it!

The food is always good and today was no exception. Just a note, if you are coming here have a lot of time the food takes a while.

Dinner with daughter and husband while visiting here in Delray

Off our list for the future! Heard mixed reviews, but decided to try it. Not only did they mess up our salad orders (as we saw them walking around with our food around the restaurant) but the main course was wrong, as well. When they finally delivered the crab cake dinner, it was cold. I told the waiter and asked to speak to a Manager, but no one ever came over. No apology or acknowledgment about the poor service and food management. Not going back.

Special evening at our special place on the Beach. Nice welcome and seating for personal service by Brett and protected view of the ocean/beach. Nice shared starters of Tempra Cauliflower and super wedge enjoyed with Louis Martini cab, Kim Crawford and Virgin Mojito. Perfectly prepared salmon, scallops, chicken pappardelle and spiced Moroccan chicken entees. Finishing with desserts including berry cheesecake and a special birthday treat compliments of the restaurant and server Brett. Hope to survive another year and do it again. Thank you.

Friendly & helpful waitress but let down by the atmosphere when we dined outside. We were staring at an almost opaque plastic sheet used as a wind break and the restaurants music clashed with the establishment next door. For the price we paid it was a very dispiriting experience, a shame as it was our last night in Delray.

Busy restaurant night, rather loud and the staff was busy with many tables. The food was very good and the waitress was very kind even though she was busy. I would recommend 50 Ocean!

Food was delicious and presented nicely. Table was right by the door and a big column so it felt a bit cramped. Otherwise, a great experience!

I went with two friends for brunch on Sunday morning – had a wonderful meal with a great view of the ocean. Our server was amazing.

It was for a birthday celebration and they brought out a cupcake with some fruit for dessert. It was very nice.

I had the lemon thyme pancakes which were delicious and we all split the chocolate bacon! It was Very good.

I will be back for sure!

Service great and Cindy is one of their best. Will return again soon.
