50 Ocean at Boston's On The Beach
Don't forget to check your lunar calendar and join us for a romantic moon rise!
Fabulous wait staff, very accommodating and friendly.
Can’t beat the view!
The food is wonderful and pricing average for a high end restaurant in Downtown Delray. Valet Parking area a huge plus.
What a disappointment in every way. We picked this restaurant largely to sit outside and overlook the beach. Unfortunately the restaurant is across the street, not on the beach. And the outdoor seating faces a loud outdoor bar next door. Strike 1. After being seated, it took almost 10 minutes to even be acknowledged, just to get a glass of water. Strike 2. When our meal was finally served, it was mediocre - either it had no flavor (tuna tartare) or was drenched in sauce (mayonnaise-y caesar salad, balsamic vinegar overpowering the scallops). Strike 3. The only saving grace was there was a great band playing downstairs so I recommend you skip the restaurant and head there for the live music only.
Surprisingly nice brunch. Great server, ocean view, nice presentation... all good. Definitely recommend.
Had a business luncheon , great food, was perfect for our needs.
Good food and service but much better places on Atlantic Ave.
Jason is the best. Great staff. Solid food and venue
We enjoyed the overall experience.......the food was very good and our waitress was very attentive. We did feel that it was a bit noisy as we were celebrating our anniversary and there was a large party next to us who were celebrating a birthday.
Just a great place by the ocean to eat and take in the ocean
Cool place inside. Slow service, and ok food.
It was great
Awesome brunch with good friend’s, great food and exceptional service.
Always a PERFECT experience, ESPECIALLY with CINDY!
We go here Almost every Sunday for brunch, it is such a unique spot and the food is amazing
The food was very spicy. Even a Caesar salad had such a spicy dressing, I couldn’t eat it. Other meals were just ok. People were nice and accommodating but food was just fair.
Lovely New Year’s Eve dinner at 50 Ocean. We had amazing food, fish/wagyu ribeye/ delicious desserts. Excellent service, very attentive all around. I would highly recommend 50 Ocean to anyone.
Food, wine, atmosphere and service were very good at 50 Ocean at Boston's on the Beach. We started our meal enjoying a glass each from our bottle of zinfandel with Caesar salad including good white anchovies. Spicy cauliflower tempora was creative. Fish entrees were delicious: halibut and rare salmon.
The Christmas decorations were beautiful. The server was friendly but gave bad advice. He recommended a fish saying it was the moistest fish and it was bone dry. We ordered the lobster bisque which was sub par. The grouper was dry, tiny and salty. The lamb was not top quality. However, the bread was delicious as was the mussels. We were SO disappointed as we had chosen this venue for a big family dinner and had been looking forward to it for months. We'd go back for the happy hour but do not plan to dine there in the regular dining room again. It was overpriced and the food was so disappointing.
This place is wonderful. The staff will great you with a smile and make You feel comfortable and welcome, the view is spectacular and the ambience is cozy. Every item I’ve ordered here has been cooked to perfection and outstanding taste. We will be going back
The food was great!
2 drinks very expensive $28
The food and the waitress were outstanding,
However when I stopped at the restaurant at 545pm and asked if there was a table available, the manager told me not until 830pm. I left the restaurant and opened open table to find another restaurant, and immediately found they had availability 15minutes later for a table. Very insulting. The manager did not apologize and there were numerous tables open during our dinner.
We booked a reservation here not really knowing anything about the restaurant. We had planned to see a band at Boston’s after so it seemed ideal. We were pleasantly surprised. Our table was ready when we arrived. The staff was friendly and didn’t seem rushed. Our waiter was genuinely happy as opposed to that fake friendly I experience at some restaurants. The food was delicious and our entrees came out from the kitchen quickly. All in all a lovely experience. We will dine there again.
Table location, food, service was substandard. Noise level was not to be believed. Shouting did not do the trick in order to converse. Most irritating was upon offering the Open Table Reward Card($50.00) to the waiter when he tendered the check for dinner, he said he wasn't aware of the program but would show it to the manager. Manager(Glenn Scott Fiedler) came to our table to inform us that their restaurant does not honor this "card"(open table debit card). I asked that he call the number furnished with the card to confirm that the offer was a real one. He left our location with our Reward Card offer and returned telling us he had spoken with his corporate office and they say
they "do not recognize nor accept this program"
I find this answer to be lacking credibility. We made our reservation thru Open Table, the restaurant honored it, and yet they arbitrarily deny your program which I'm fairly sure would have reimbursed them upon their submission of the card. Why Open Table would continue promoting anything at this establishment is beyond me. Our family dines at many fine restaurants but this one has nothing in common with them. We surely would not return nor recommend.
Half hour delay for reserved table. Asked why, was told “the earlier group is just sitting there”. I asked the manager to either tell them to leave or maybe comp us a drink. He did neither, and was gruff. Never going back. Lots of other choices, don’t need to be treated like that.
The food was not good - the coconut shrimp was very dry; the lobster bisque didn't have a lot of flavor and it was cold. Very limited vegetable and salad selection. The music from next door made dining outdoors unpleasant.
I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects a sophisticated evening with good food and a good ambiance. I have been there a few times and it has always been a good experience. On this occasion the noise was so excessive that we wanted to leave. I asked to be moved but the noise level was the same everywhere. The noise was even more than a sports bar where an important game was being watched by the crowd. There was screaming and yelling and when I complained I was told that there was nothing they could do. Eventually I was moved with two other tables (who complained) to the veranda. This was OK and we liked it better there but the setting was not as good as the main dining areas. I would have expected an apology from the manager but he was nowhere to be seen.
Excellent ambiance for the holidays and great service !!
Six people and five different entrees all very pleased with the food!
Food was good. Our waitress was excellent. However, the kitchen was very slow in getting the food out (40+ minutes after the order was placed). Good thing that we had a bottle of wine available to us to pass the time.
The food was delicious and the menu very varied and interesting. I had a Moroccan chicken which was mouth watering. Great ceviche, gem salads and such yummy bread. Cindy, the waitstaff was outstanding and the ambiance is festive for the holidays.
Great Christmas decorations
Love the bottomless mimosa and Bloody Mary bar
great restaurant, great views, but back room tables have no view. this was disappointing. and not allowed outside to look at ocean due to 'private party'...disappointing. Special was very good, but price was surprisingly high. will go back, as food is great!
Very slow service. Received Manhattan with no garnish (cherry or orange peel). ordered 2 wedge salads that looked so entirely different, we had to ask the server what the one was. Snapper entree was dry and a bit overcooked.
We came to see the Christmas decorations and they were spectacular! Food was delicious, as usual!
Good food and ambiance. Service a little slow.
Our server was outstanding. Very knowledgeable of not only what was on the menu, but also very consultative with questions that were outside of the menu. As always, the lobster bisque was the best in town.
Randi was an amazing server! She went above and beyond! The food was delicious, and I can’t wait to go back.
They literally had one table with a full beach view. Annoying as we sat and ate and tired to see the ocean. Waiter was not the best. Older woman taking orders from outside tables and she want upbeat and happy nor helpful
I live next door and have been here several times and with better food this would be a wonderful spot. It over looks the beach with big bay windows; indoor and outdoor seating. The food always falls short. Unfortunately not a lot of veggie options and the ones they have are usually fried and/or don’t taste very good. Even the wedge salad was returned last night. Disappointed.
Everything was great!!
