5 Palms is an open-air, oceanfront restaurant, nestled inside the Mana Kai Resort on Keawakapu Beach. We offer breakfast and lunch daily from 8:00am to 2:30pm, focusing on unique twists to classic breakfast & lunch favorites. Dinner is served nightly from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and focuses on the bounty of fresh fish and locally grown vegetables that are available year round on Maui. We also offer one of the best Happy Hours on the South Side of the Island from 3:00pm to 7:00pm and again from 9:00pm to 11:00pm daily. Happy Hour features great drink specials, and half-priced pupus and sushi. We invite you to come and relax, while the gentle tradewind breezes stir your soul and the breathtaking sunsets steal your cares away.

Made reservation using the app
Arrived to a dark parking lot which made it difficult to find the entry point to the Restaurant.

Once inside we were greeted by a hostess that did not seem to be completely engaged in her job.

Once seated it took some time to be acknowledged.
Drink orders were placed, which took some time.

Placing out dinner order was just shy of combative. The waiter made it obvious that we were somehow putting him out by ordering. They ran out of romain lettuce ... when asked if the dressing could be added to another lettuce we were told no. Smart comments and snide remarks coupled w rolled eyes made everything perfectly clear.

Once dinner arrived , the $14.95 add on charge for chicken to a salad was dry and tasteless. The ribs were presented luke warm at best.

Dining in Maui is expensive, thats a given, but quality and service is expected at $50+ pp for a simple meal.

There are a-lot of options in the area, I cannot suggest this location for dinner.

We were seated immediately and the surrounding were great - right off the ocean. Service was excellent and the food was great. We would highly recommend to anyone who wants good service and great food at the appropriate price.

This is a lovely beachside restaurant between Kihei & Wailea! Delicious seafood - enjoyed baked spiny lobster & grilled swordfish - with attentive service. Our waiter Kona was well informed & professional & friendly. A great combination! It has quickly become a favorite - we plan to return for Happy Hour before we return to the mainland.

We had had a late heavy lunch and went for a light bite and desert. The potato leek soup and warm roll with lilikoi butter were excellent. And the Kona coffee mud pie we split was deadly!

Lobster salad had two thumbnail size pieces of lobster for $20. Prices were like Mama’s without the quality!
