Place is amazing, nice music and crowd. Too bad it wasnt full on a saturday night, otherwise all was perfect
Nice Tapas Bar to go after work to mingle with your friends. The tapas were great and the sangria as well. the restaurant is very chic and the ambiance was great. I really recommend this place for and after work gathering.
The steak and lobster skewers were literally the best ever! So dang good! The drinks were a bit watered down but my martini was delish!
we were seated right next to loudspeakers - there was a weak attempt to move us but it didnt happen. It also took our servers 25 mins to ask us for drinks which is unacceptable.
On the plus side we did like the music overall.
It was my birthday . We were over charged and the waiter ran out the venue to follow us and ask for a tip. Very unprofessional. The dj and the host were the only good thing that night. Never again!! And i would never recommend this venue.
As usual, the manager Millie and her staff didn’t disappoint. My friends and I always feel special when we come. These folks work very hard to make us feel welcome...I love this place!
Great atmosphere, food and drinks. Rude security who “doesn’t like hats.”
Sophisticated and the service is outstanding.
Planning on going back soon 😀
The food and drinks at 48 Lounge were fantastic. The environment was a little odd. The high top tables have no chairs and the seating for standard tables are couches and living room chairs. The music was really loud. It’s a great place as long as you are expecting that type of environment. We were a little surprised and were happy that we were seated at a standard table so we could relax and attempt to chat over the loud music.
This was my first time at 48 Lounge and I will definitely go back. I was celebrating my birthday with my daughters and son. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. They people were warm and friendly. Everyone got along well. There was an adult atmosphere and I really liked that.
Very cozy and relax good place to socialize and have a great time. Management Team was awsome very professional.
Super attentive staff. i would change the “club music”
48 Lounge offers a cool place to meet up for tasty nosh food and good drinks before taking in a Broadway show. Service is prompt and friendly (even though every one else there is working very hard to be ultra cool). The food was very good.
My main surprise: the room layout. Most spots to sit are couches and lounge chairs. Or just plain standing. The "high top table" I reserved had no chairs for sitting. Thankfully, the place was still quiet enough (5:00-ish) for the server to let us use a couple of bar stools. I can imagine the place would be jam packed and loud as the evening wears on. But for a swift pre-theater meal and drink, it can't be beat.
I took my wife Angela there for her birthday really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place would recommend
It confirmed a reservation for lunch and it was not open for lunch. Bad experience.
Although the ambiance is really nice, had issues with one of the food items ordered. After some waiting an inquiry about the status of the item was made and the reply was obviously false. It was explained that someone had gone to the Emporium to purchase fresh tortilla shells and they should be out "in less than five minutes". This did not happen and after a complaint was made, the manager, who was very prompt in responding and handled the situation appropriately, explained that we were given incorrect information regarding the timetable on our meal, profusely apologized and offered complimentary meals and drinks to accommodate our bad experience. After our comped meals were enjoyed, the item originally ordered was prepared and offered, also complimentary. Although this was appreciated, there was no interest in it at that point. It was put in a to go box. After receiving our bill there was a charge of $17 for an item we never ordered so that had to get addressed and corrected. Granted, this was the first time dining at this restaurant but there an unfortunate feeling leaving, get your operations under better management. Also, the music was very loud and annoying, house music on a loop. It really is ideal for parties, hanging out with friends, etc... but they need to get a better handle on some things.
This V-Day I brought my GF to 48 lounge for a memorable experience. VIP area is very exclusive and away from all the extra commotion. Plush couches, plenty of seating, private music area, great food. Mac n cheese truffle is a must have. Service was attentive and prompt. Only down fall was the owner decided to have last call one hour before close time so you were rushed to put in one last bulk order. Other than that I would definitely recommend 👍🏽👌🏽
We had a short wait to be seated which I love and to top it off the food was amazing. The music for the most part was decent. The lounge is not to over crowded so that was a plus for me. My friends and I definitely enjoyed ourselves.
The service, ambiance and crowd were so awesome at 48 Lounge! My friends and I enjoyed our time there for a bachelorette and will definitely be back for other celebrations! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to try interesting drinks and dancing the night away to hip hop and oldies!
We had an amazing time! Food and drinks are pricey but that should be expected! Atmosphere is amazing, will definitely visit again when we come back to New York!
Indeed about see and be seen. But nothing special. Very expensive for given quality.
- Great DJ. Could read the crowd. Played modern and throwback music but it was a good balance to keep the younger and older crowds entertained.
- The hosts and bartenders were very nice and very helpful
- Drinks were a little pricey but worth the price
- If you come with a group of friends you’ll have a lot of fun
- Definitely going back when I’m in New York again
- I did not order anything to eat; hence, why I gave the food 3 stars
Great for group. Great ambiance
I have been Saturday, December,22 It was my B-Day. My friends and I like it so much: fancy drinks, delicious food, outstanding music! Stuff is friendly and people around were amazing.
I made reservations here for 12/22 to celebrate my BFF birthday and it was an amazing time!! Service was great, the music was banging, the lobster, filet mignon & the shrimp &’chorizo skewers were delicious! The grilled cheese was delicious and the drinks were a bit on the pricey side but nonetheless, amazing! My friend was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed herself! I will definitely go back!
Beautiful place with nice music. Service was good. Drinks are pricey but it’s normal for that area. It was super crowded that people kept pushing each other. Had to wait for 15 at the entrance to get my coat. Overall would recommend to go there (not at the rush hours).
We made a reservation for 11pm and we waited for half an hour before they just told us they didn't have any space for us. Had to just leave and find somewhere else. Not sure what the point of making a reservation is.
Came here for drinks only and the decor is beautiful. Nice place to come with a group of friends,
hang out and drink. I will say it’s a bit boring if you don’t come with a large crowd, but the atmosphere makes up for it. This place has a Nice chill vibe. Will come back for drinks, but keep in mind the drinks a crazy expensive so be prepared to spend
Had apps and drinks but way way way too expensive for what we got
We had a great time. Good music and dancing. Good times.
LOVE this place. The ONLY complaint I have is that I live in Westchester and I take the train into Manhattan. Trains stop on weekends by 2am and I don’t like being tipsy by myself on public transportation.
Always great to come here for work events. Wish I could afford the menu to come here for personal time lol.
Even though I made reservations through open table never got points.
Love love love this place! My friend recommended it and this is my second time there. All of the staff are great, but BIG thanks and shout out to Max the bartender. He addressed me by name (he met me two weeks prior for the first time) and made me and my friends feel so at home and special. I have been clubbing for years and traveled on a train from Westchester to get to 48. Been there twice and haven't been disappointed yet. Great drinks, good bar food (truffle mac and cheese OMG!). If you love to dance and mingle with no-drama like minded mature people, GO...NOW...and find Max at the bar on Saturday nights!
Food and service were great! The DJ was horrible
Awsme place .Great ambience .excellent service .enjoyed the music.
The food here is pretty mediocre. All tapas tasted like they were made from frozen veggies or frozen h'ordeuvres -- and not very high priced ones. We arrived near closing but we had a reservation. The experience was RUINED because we were rushed every step of the way. One of the 'servers' even took a plate of mine before I had finished eating -- he said that the kitchen wanted to clean up. What do I care if the kitchen wants to clean up? That is not my problem -- doubly so because I will never go back to this place.
Good place for a drink and to spend time with your wife or significant other. Had fun until the dj started to play music no one wanted to listen to. But had fun and great two hours there.
The most pretentious place I’ve ever been to. They 1) asked my friend to remove his backpack that was next to us because it was messing with their decor - one of the employees actually tried to shove his backpack under something so that it would not be seen. The place was half empty so it had nothing to do with space.
2) also had an issue with my jacket being next to me because once again, was messing with their decor.
3) told us to hurry up and leave because they had a private party coming in at 9pm. It was 7pm.
Had great time as usual. Jessica was wonderful. There was a DJ and the music was good. Crowded at first, about 7:30 but then thinned out by 9.
