48 Lounge Ratings and Reviews
Lounge is definitely the right word to describe this place. The seating is all comfortable chairs and couches, not a typical table. They do serve food, but it's really more appetizers than tapas/small plates. We tried a variety of cocktails and loved them all. Really enjoyed their unique cocktail creations.
Made this reservation after reading other reviews. We needed a place close to the theater and just wanted a pre-show bite to eat. The food was excellent and so were the drinks. We stayed longer than planned and also ordered dessert (not planned at all). Highly recommend!
I was going to Radio City and wanted a bite to eat before the show. My friend and I had some appetizers and drinks and enjoyed everything immensely. It turned out that one of the hostesses was a former student of mine and we had a wonderful reunion. It is a small world!
Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I will return here again.
Really was looking forward to dinner/drinks but our waitress, when delivering our drinks, dumped one down one entire side of me. Perhaps it is difficult to serve since the seating is more casual (we were at sofas with a coffee table). We had to take our food to go and I was surprised they didn't comp our drinks (just one appetizer).
We went after a 2:00 show. We were the only ones in the place until 9pm. If you're looking for a scene, I would say definitely go later. However, we enjoyed having the place to ourselves. The staff was super friendly and on top of everything. The ambiance was incredible. I would love to see how the place feels later when it is full of people. The blueberry poprocks cocktail was more dessert than a drink and so satisfying and fun. I would highly recommend the meatballs and grilled cheese.
I had always liked the 48 Lounge but my last visit was very disappointing. There was a big group there and although we had a table and were sitting, the folks from this crowd seemed to be all over and almost on top of us. And they were extremely loud. I think the place should have been reserved for them all by themselves.
48 Lounge was amazing. We were there Saturday evening for a couples anniversary celebrations. The customer service was amazing, the drinks were great, and the DJ was jamming! Ray the manager took care of us when he found out it was an anniversary. Thanks Ray! I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great evening out.
I don't normal write reviews, but this place was worth it. My experience there was amazing. Everyone, from the security who personally introduced himself to the beautiful hostess at the front door were all professional and sweet. I will definitely go back especially on the weekend, because they have a live DJ.
Took my friend who was out of town for a drink and some bar bites. From the time we got to the door, we felt welcomed. The hostess was so so nice. The waitress just continued on. She was great. Even the guys that were bringing the food out and taking away the utensils were great. The manager came over to ensure we were doing good. The drinks and food were exceptional, Have no complaints on my visit to 48 Lounge. Highly recommend it. Can't wait to go again
First time at this very contemporary lounge. We were in the mood for tapas and drinks before a concert. My husband had the pesto pizza which was very tasty and I had the mahi-mahi tacos which had a delicious flavor. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. We liked the vibe here. We would definitely come back.
Great spot! Staff couldn't be more friendly. The manager ,Ray, was very kind to us and generous. The hostess, N., Was Beautiful, patient, friendly, and just fantastic. All the bartenders are beautiful and kind.we had a great time and a great meal. Ambiance is beautiful! Michelle
We were looking for somewhere to eat before an early show and thought an early tapas dinner would be just the thing. Despite the name, we didn't realize that this wasn't a restaurant, but rather a lounge more suited for drinks and appetizers. The food was excellent and is good for an early dinner if you don't mind eating off your lap or bar table. Ambiance was great and the cocktails were delicious, but very expensive. Great place for before dinner or after show drinks.
Great food and lively scene. We chose 48 Lounge as our after show spot. We wanted a places where we could order food but not have to sit down to a whole meal. Our visit was on a Thursday night. The hostess sat us right away even offering the VIP section.
The waitress came over quickly for our drink orders and to explain the small plate menu. She was super helpful and attentive. The drinks were yummy and the food was delicious. Our favorite was the miso pork sliders with pickle slaw. Absolutely fabulous! The lounge had a DJ playing a great mix of new and old. Overall, we are very happy we tried 48 Lounge.
The filet mignon sliders and grilled cheese were great. Very filling. The seating was comfortable and the noise level made talking difficult but not impossible. Seemed like a place for business folk to gather. We preordered the bread pudding but were too full to eat it. So we asked to take it with us. After waiting 20+ minutes we just left. The servers were attentive.
Due to a private event that was being hosted on the night of our reservation, we were unable to complete our stay at 48 Lounge. However, the manager was very accommodating and sent us to their new location at Parkview Lounge. The drinks and menu are exactly the same as 48 Lounge and we found the new location just as inviting as the original. The birthday celebration went on as planned and we had a lovely evening.
48 Lounge is a trendy , up scale spot strategically located on the 1221 Block of Avenue of the Americas. Definitly a place to be seen but not heard. Drinks are uneventful and unremarkably priced. The food is unremarkable and should be re labeled as hoursedervs or finger food. With that label the $$ rating would be more accurate at $$$$$$.
