I hadn't been to 47 Scott since shortly after it opened. The food wasn't as good as I remembered but it's a convenient spot for pre-theater dining if you park at Pennington Street Garage and are going to The Fox.
The staff and service were excellent. We enjoyed the mussels, an eggplant dish and a hamburger -- plus the goat cheese croquettes and the breaded grilled vegetable appetizers. The patio out back was great for the COVID-conscious.
This was my first visit to your restaurant and it was a good experience. I will return.
We were delighted with the food, service and charming back patio. My Red Snapper with chimichurri was exceptional and a very satisfying portion, including 4 large shrimp. Our waiter John was very helpful and took good care that our courses were served in plenty of time for our concert. It all would have been Outstanding except for the lackluster wine list. We tried 3 reds, all very fruity, nothing dry or complex about them. Wednesday is half price bottle night but even the Italian we ordered was so disappointing, we didn't finish it or take it with us. If 47 Scott improves the red wine choices, it will be a 5 star for us.
Ordered the surf and turf and the bistro steak. Overall the food was ok service was great. The ambience was a little dark and quiet.
Food & atmosphere was wonderful! It feels so good to be supporting local establishments!
Our first visit to 47 Scott won't be our last. We celebrated my wife's b'day with dinner here. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer started us out nicely. My wife had the salmon and I had the short ribs. Both were substantial and quite good.
Service was excellent.
Sat outside on patio, bar service leading to dinner meals......Service horrible, had to originally go in to order drinks and appetizer...Eventually got water and drinks...Appetizer came from dining room waiter ......main meal came and it was delicious....NEVER had anyone follow up, no one checked on how we were doing, never refilled water glasses, asked if we wanted another drink, etc...I had to go into bar to ask for a check...
Seemed since we started w/happy hour, dining room service ignored us outside, as other tables were being serviced outside but waiter refused to look our way..We have been regulars, even eating there last week as well as last night but have to reconsider...
Rood and service were GREAT. I will say the dining room was VERY cold.
Lovely evening dining outdoors prior to the show at the Fox. Food was all prepared and presented expertly and delicious. Good value. Was my first time there, will come again.
Waiter mis represented special. Said the fish came with scallops and actually came with shrimp?? Molten lava cake was dry and only half molten in the center.
Nice vibe. Patio was very pleasant. I had the short ribs. They were soooo good.-fall off the bone good. The bib salad was also delicious. Will definitely come back.
Good menu. The salmon was really good, and the penne pasta with chicken was really flavorful. Will definitely be back.
The bacon wrapped dates were stellar! The Banana Crème Brulee should be taken off the menu and just go with the regular Crème Brulee. The bananas are the consistency of potatoes. The coffee was burnt or you need a new roaster? Music was great. cocktails where great. The surf and turf and Phyllo Chicken was excellent!!! we will come back.
Delicious food and great service
Just ok. Food is pretty bland. Had the butter salad. Underwhelmed. Dressing was ok. Tomatoes were old and soggy. Sparse bacon. Needed salt. Steak frites was decent, heavy on the garlic. Fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil and came out covered in chimichurri sauce, making them soggy. Steak was tender but way under seasoned. Broccolini was too tough to eat. Don't sit outside whatever you do. Too many rude people walking by smoking, listening to loud music, and homeless hitting you up for money. Better places to spend your money.
Date night for husband and I snd it could not have been better!
From the minute we arrived everything went perfectly! Looking forward to going back again soon!
Great food, service & ambience. The only draw back was some old furniture sitting outside on the back patio. This distracted a bit from the experience
Our server was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. We started with the soup of the day which was Tomato Basil. We had Mahi Mahi and Chicken Penne Pasta. All were flavorful. We were full so no room for dessert.
Great food! Everything was tasting great! Kids loved Surf & Turf meal
47 Scott one of our personal favorites downtown. Excellent and wide ranging cocktail menu…from classic to craft. Menu is focused but includes multiple fish or meat based entrees. Brussels and mussels combined app’s were enough for a main course, mahi mahi was very good/flavorful and unusual preparation using fennel and Apple versus the more typical mango/tropical salsas.
Too cold to use outdoor patio but inside seating comfortable. Great place for any pre-concert dinner downtown.
Awesome restaurant in the heart of downtown. The innovative and traditional menu items were equally delicious. Loved the Brussels sprouts and buffalo cauliflower appetizers. Our waiter Brandon was perfectly attentive and efficient. We will definitely return on our next trip to Tucson.
Service and ambiance great. Mussels were outstanding. Sea bass very disappointing. Initially dry and overcooked. Waiter so nicely replaced it with another cooked sea bass but even though not over cooked, poor tasting- just bad sea bass . The sea food combo in a tomato sauce also unsatisfactory. Sauce not very appealing and would not recommend the dish.
Would have been totally happy if stopped with the mussels without the entrees.
Food and drinks great.
Service friendly and efficient.
Great ambiance, great food. Britney was a fantastic waitress, offering suggestions and checking in with us. I highly recommend 47 Scott.
Two girlfriends that go to the theater and have dinner before. We both ordered the sea bass and a glass of wine. The entree was generally good, though dry in parts. The accompanying shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the risotto cake was so good we could have eaten it for a separate course! Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant.
We had a great dinner at 47 Scott, plus it was Wine Wednesday so we got a bottle of vino half price. All the staff were amazing and the food was fabulous. Loved the lightly fried eggplant over the linguine with jalapeno cream. Just the right amount of heat.
Great meal! Convenient location for Fox Theater. Nice wineist too.
Alway great. One of my top 5 in Tucson. Mackenzie is fantastic.
Amazing service and food, great cocktails. The ambiance on the back patio would have been better with the twinkle lights working.
I would highly recommend 47 Scott as a very good place to eat.
Excellent food, fresh and made perfectly flavors ambiance and price. First time here and very impressed with the quality of ingredients. The only thing is that there is not good ventilation and smell like food in the dining area. But patio seating will be compensate this.
Very nice restaurant for a date night while still being reasonably priced. Would go here again!
My husband and I have a weekly date night. We had been to 47 Scott a couple of times before and were very impressed with the service and food. We decided to go there once again & as before we had a wonderful dining experience. The service was exceptional. The server was professional, friendly & efficient. Wait time was minimal. The recommendation for the bacon wrapped dates was a superb choice. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed sipping our wine and visiting in the quiet romantic atmosphere the restaurant has created for it’s customers. I would definitely recommend 47 Scott to others looking for that special memorable night out.
We had symphony tickets and a hard stop for our dinner conclusion for our party of 4. Our server was thoughtful and paced everything perfectly. The food was excellent from the salad to PEI mussels to pasta. Wish we could have enjoyed longer but next time!
Hello, the food was amazing and we really enjoyed the servers and setting of the restaurant. The only thing we wished was that we could have been more in the open of the restaurant. Able to see other people and not very secluded. Besides that the noice level was great and I will definitely be coming back!
Always frustrating when you have to flag down a server to get anyone's attention once seated. Appetizer and salads excellent. Main courses a let-down. Seafood linguini sauce tasted like Chef Boy-r-dee--super sweet (ugh). Way too many tough little pieces of bacon in the shrimp and scallops dish. Super odd to make the dish that way. Drinks were good but small for $12. All in all, a disappointment considering how pricey the place is.
It was nice to get out in public - Covid and whatnot. They make the best Manhattan in Tucson! Fried cauliflower appetizer was super. My wife and I both liked our dinners - phyllo chicken and salmon.
Good food and great service. Went for a small party function. Was quiet enough to have conversation with all the people at the table. Will return.
Outstanding, we really enjoyed our evening. Cocktails, appetizers, entree, desserts, on point. Thank you
