456 Fish Ratings and Reviews
The only problem we had was the noise level from background music/tv was to loud for enjoying a dinner out before the theater. Our server was knowledgeable , and informative. Enjoyed the fact we could park the car, enjoy dinner and know in advance we did not need to leave early enough to relocate the car from their parking facility.
We live in Richmond and were in Norfolk for a concert. We found Fish 456 by searching on line We were very impressed by everything about it. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. It was not noisy so we could have a good conversation. We also thought that the value was exceptional. We ate leftovers for dinner tonight and still have some left. I would definitely recommend it!
From the moment we stepped in the door the service was outstanding. Our waiter Zach was very helpful in our menu selections which were outstanding. The calamari was some of the best I've had. The grouper paired with spinach and plantain was delicious as was my daughter's salmon selection. I look forward to returning and sampling the crab cakes.
I took my wife here before we went to see a play at the Virginia Stage Company. Our philosophy is that a positive dining experience is always worth the extra money. From the ease of creating the reservation, to the seating, and the actual dining experience, it was all top knotch. My wife and I shared a Ceasar Salad, Crab Stuffed Flounder, and Potato Chip Encrusted Crab Cakes. The food was fresh, timely, and the se Her was attentive. I could go on, but you should just check it out for yourself.
Very very good experience. Steve was our server and he did a wonderful job. They had a wedding party of 60 there so it was a little loud. We had she crab soup, crab and spinich dip, and flounder stuffed with crab. Everything was very tasty!
While in Norfolk, my wife and I visited 345 Fish for dinner. We both had the crab cake appetizer and the grouper. Both were excellent. Zack was a great server and even taught us how to use our new Uber app to get back to our hotel. Very good experience.
Food was excellent. The problem we had was the service. The hostess ended taking our order because a waitress never showed up. After order was taken, it took almost an to get our food. Staff seemed to be very unorganized. Didn't seem to be that busy for the length of time it took to get our meal
The ambiance was very inviting. The service was exceptional, from the maitre'd, to our server, to the manager. The food, also, was first class. I recommend the tomato bisque and goat cheese salad, as well as the crab-stuffed flounder! The only pecadillo is that it was a bit noisy in the back room. I should recommend 456 Fish enthusiastically, and my girlfriend and i look forward to our next experience there!
456 Fish is located on restaurant row or Granby Street in downtown Norfolk. The fish was fresh and tasty. I would recommend the crab cakes which are rolled in potato chips, no filler all crab and seasoned perfectly. Nice wine list which is not too expensive, we shared a wonderful French Rose.
If you live near this restaurant and insist on not traveling too far for decent seafood, it would be OK. I would hope that somewhere else in Norfolk there is a better seafood choice at similar or likely lower prices. Service was OK+ for a place like this. The food not so much so.
Overall the cost for the quality of the food wasnt there. No fresh pepper was offered to us, the potatoes were suppose to be garlic but they had no flavor. The chef pasta had wonderful shrimp but the rest was nothing fancy for the price. The wine was Awesome but the Crème Brûlé was burnt. A real let down after being a favorite by other post. Might try again just to see if something changes as it might have been an off night.
