The best thing about this restaurant is the staff - attentive, professional, and friendly (also very attractive!). The food is very good, but the portions are a little small. Beautiful interior and great location.
Enjoyed pre-theater lunch and had a great experience. Food was delicious, service was impeccable, and vibe was energetic. Definitely recommend reservations as it tends to get quite busy and have not had much luck with "walk-in/wait" scenario.
We had a wonderful meal at 44 & X last weekend. Our waiter was outstanding, and the food was delicious. Everyone in our group was pleasantly surprised by the large portions. The Broadway-based cocktail menu was also delightful. We all said that we would eat at 44 & X again in a heartbeat!
Great food in a wonderful outdoor dining g location. The special of the night was a great option as Sea Bass was perfect. Great drink options and the braised ribs were to die for. Can’t wait to go back with more friends.
Perfect for pre theater. The menu is varied. The preparation is outstanding. And the quality is uniformly excellent throughout the years.
44 & X is a gem. It just keeps getting better. Never had a bad meal here in 17 years.
As out-of-towners we have found 44 & X to have a great NYC vibe while still being friendly and accessible to us "foreigners". Saturday brunch had good food and great service. We will be returning.
I live in the neighborhood so I'm always happy to find a local establishment that is consistent. The menu is good, and the interior very light and cozy. The staff is fun, with good energy that doesn't try too hard.
I took a friend for brunch, and though they never got her "customized" omelette, my experience was great.
Great place for pre-theatre and a neighborhood gem!!!
I love 44&X and knew it would dazzle our out of town guests. The food was delicious and one of our friends had several dietary constraints and she was thrilled. The drinks were tasty and imaginative. The waiter was great.
I will come back as often as possible.
Best meail in NYC in 5 days.
Great staff, food, atmosphere and value
Fist time here. Loved it. Incredibly friendly staff, light airy space, fabulous and interesting drinks and menu. Will definitely be back
Very noisy but the food was worth it. Great Apple pie deserts
Solid dining experience, but prices are a little high in my opinion. Tight dining space and had to flag down the waiter as it got busier. Enjoyed the food and drinks, but was definitely pricier than expected for Hell’s Kitchen.
Very nice place, pleasnt and good service andfood
We had a nice time at brunch here. Food was good, room was crowded and loud, service was good.
About what I would expect for a brunch crowd on a weekend in Hell's Kitchen.
This place is a fantastic find in Hell's Kitchen! The outdoor seating area is great for people watching. The servers are very friendly and nice. The service is always spot on. The food was delicious! We had the yellow fin tuna appetizer (light & fresh) and then the filet mignon (cooker perfectly medium rare) which came with a scalloped potato terrine (butter, cream & potatoes), and then dessert was a peanut butter mousse tart - amazing. The value for the money is outstanding. We had two appetizers, dinner, dessert and a bottle of wine and the bill was under $200. It's my 5th time eating at this establishment and I will be back! Great place!!!
Dinner for 4 (3 of which were celebrating a birthday). The Raviolo appetizer is so good that we all said we would order it as an entree. Also had the Sea Scallops and Crab Fritter appetizer - equally delicious. For entrees, we had Filet of Sole, Salmon, Turkey Meatloaf and Mahi Mahi. Everyone cleaned their plates - I mean not a morsel or drop of sauce was left. For dessert we shared Cherry Pie and the Peanut Butter Mousse Cake. Just the right amount of delectable goodness! The cocktails have fun names that call out current Broadway shows. Our server was very polite. We will definitely be back again!
We were a party of 4, dining here for the first time for a pre theater meal. Modern decor, interesting menu that was well prepared and professional service. We will go back.
Three times I’ve eaten here and every time was perfection.
The quality, freshness, and presentation are all excellent at this restaurant. As a frequent return dinner this has always been the case.
This was my second visit to this restaurant. I travel to NY for business. This is a hidden GEM! Let me start with the food. The rolls were fresh and delicious. I had the Chicken and my companion had the Halibut-both were fantastic! We sat outside both times and dined by candlelight! The waiter was very friendly and attentive! I had something with chocolate for dessert on my first visit that was so good that both of us shared it! I love this place because the foods great, it has a great vibe, and everyone’s so nice! A must if you visit NY and/or Hells Kitchen area!
Service and food do not disappoint here. Menu is great, with lots of options. Truly enjoyed it.
Great experience. Service and food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great. It’s location makes it a good spot to go to either before or after the theater.
Pretty good food and nice looks are overwhelmed by a noise level that makes conversation difficult. On the expensive side.
Excellent, inventive, interesting food and drinks, in a bright and vibrant atmosphere with friendly but professional service. Mahi mahi was just outstanding. Halibut was very good. Chocolate cake was incredible. While the noise level was high, we had no trouble hearing each other. An all-in memorable evening. We will definitely go back.
Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere!! Always a good time!!
Our waiter was fantastic - great suggestions and phenomenal service. The food was also amazing!!
I believe the hostess, was Ashley.. not sure, but she was the best hostess I've encountered, especially in NYC!
She was extremely patient , helpful and overall a joy to work with as I had a few changes going back and forth with the number of people in our brunch.
Food was very nice, bloody mary was great.. lol and overall another fabulous food event at this restaurant.
Would say the dinner I had a few weeks ago was a bit better than the brunch, but loved both time and will definitely return when we are in the city!
Perfect location for a pre-matinee brunch. Thought it was very loud. Food was simple but good.
We loved this restaurant!! Ladies trip to NYC, we had brunch here before going to a matinee. Food, service, ambiance....all wonderful.
Wonderful restaurant, interesting menu, courteous, professional service. The restaurant was more spacious than most midtown restaurants, and was an easy walk to the theater district. I highly recommend!
This restaurant has been one our our primary "go to" places in New York City and it never disappoints! The food is always excellent and the staff is fantastic. I promise that this will one of YOUR favorites as well!
Made a reservation for a large party and they honored it on time, friendly service and good food, and didn’t rush us.
It’s not the first time I’ve been here and is very consistent.
We enjoyed the food. Everything was well prepared and nicely presented.
This was my third time dining at this restaurant. The service and food are always excellent. The drink menu is also very nice! Strongly recommend.
From start to finish the staff was efficient, attentive, all smiles, welcoming and dare I say, gorgeous. I ordered a salmon Benedict, which was delicious! The drink choices are fun with Broadway names like the Angela Lans-Berry and the Kristin Gin-Oweth. I ordered the Bette Mitzer, refreshing and delicious! 'll make this my Sunday brunch stop every visit to NYC! I tried to add photos, but sadly none would ever load here.
Always the best. This is where i always go for a nice dinner when in new york.
Excellent service. Great food. Menu is broad enough to provide something everyone in your party will enjoy
