44&X remains a must do restaurant for us whenever we are in NY. As the restaurant fills up it gets nosier and nosier but what the hell, it people seeing one another and just have a good time and enjoying some good and fun food. There is a very eclectic crowd here, some people fashionably dressed, theatre people, casually dressed people but most of all happy people. It is an extensive menu with artfully presented food, and generous portions. Two diners both had the rack of lamb and said it was very good. One of my favorite appetizers is the pistachio goat cheese soufflé and it is a must order for me when I dine here. One diner with us tried it for the first time and loved it. Service was good considering the place got so packed and it is hard for servers to navigate. Must say the servers are very attractive people and most of them are very friendly
We have been to 44&10 many times .The food was Delicious as usual
Fab find with nnovative and delish food and drinks. Nice space.
We had a great meal at 44 & X. The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. There were many good options on the menu as well. Overall, a great experience!
"A Clean, Well-Lighted Place" ... and the food and service are good too!!
Place was good. Lots of options on the menu and decent for the location. Excellent server with good sense of humor.
Know before you go: you can only add a protein to your salad during lunch (chicken only) or brunch (chicken or shrimp)
Would go back! Our waiter was great.
Excellent! Highly recommended!
I think this restaurant was a bit over-rated
The service was EXCELLENT, and the food was unique but not great enough to come back, I’m sorry to say. It was a bit of a disappointment.
It was nice to return to 44 x10 after having dined there numerous times before. Always great food and great service. Michael the waiter was excellent. The pan roasted lemon sole was one of the best fish I ever had. And the dessert was the perfect way to end the meal. Lemon cake with lemon curd and spring berries. I will definitely return upon my next visit to New York City.
Excellent, friendly service combined with good solid food. The hard surfaces of the space creates a loud atmosphere, or maybe just lively; but after one cocktail it didn't matter so much.
The food was great, the staff even better. Remember to reserve a table.. The restaurant was packed at all times..
Great but too noisy!
I love coming here before matinees...great food, charming decor, perfect location. Ive only eaten lunch here, but I sure dinner is fab as well...
Great energy, great staff, great service, and great food.
Love this place food is always great but our waiter was AWFUL and DEPRESSING!
I thought maybe he was having a bad day and grumpy but when we looked at the other tables he was serving he was very friendly and nice which unfortunately leaves me to state that he was obnoxious to us for being straight ! I would like to say to this waiter be nice to all your customers you of all people know what it is like to be treated with prejudice! We still tipped him even though I did not want to because of course it was the right thing to do or was it?
Nice, varied brunch menu.
Reliably excellent food, well presented. The lemon sole was delicious, a perfect sized portion with a bright sauce. Great service, knowledgeable but not pushy.
#44&X is an awesome restaurant. We live in Philadelphia, but travel to NYC regularly to see shows and enjoy the city. This restaurant is always on our "must visit" list.
Highly recommend for brunch. Great food and service. Perfect location.
Great dinner, as always. Our waiter, Michael was great!
Great place great food! We had the seafood ravioli, and it was beautiful pieces of seafood covered by a blanket of velvety pasta - delicious! Also recommend the all crab crab cake.
Great food, service and ambience
Love it here, whether it be Sunday Brunch, dinner...... service is superior and we always have so much fun. Cocktails and food are delicious! Nice location right in Hell's Kitchen - walkable from where we stay. Cannot wait to come back again next year.
My first time having brunch here. Had a reservation, arrived on time, still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Restaurant was very crowded and I don't think the air conditioning or ventilation was working well, was warm and stuffy. Eggs Benedict was nothing special. Came with friends who I'd not seen in a few years and I'd hoped for a better experience.
Ray (and entire Staff) are great
This restaurant is very good. I went out for dinner with my family and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. We each had a different fish entree which were all equally amazing. I highly recommend this for a delicious casual dining experience.
We’ve been several times and always leave satisfied. The restaurant has one of the best wait staffs in the city. They’re friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food is delicious. Fun takes on classics.
So creative and pleasant to the palate. Service is fantastic.
Overall a great experience. Server was the only reason they didn’t get 5 Stars. Decent food and perfect for patio dining.
It was my 2nd time here and I really enjoyed it. Great vibe and location... Mac and cheese was decadent with Vermont Cheddar and some truffle oil. I want to have it in toothpaste form.
Ladies, DO NOT USE the bathroom on the first floor!! When someone wiggles the door lever the lock will POP OPEN!! Ladies, use the 2 restrooms downstairs!!
Lovely meal. Staff were excellent and the food delicious!
Yum! Amazing! Exceeded expectations! Food was creative and delicious. Our waiter was outstanding as well.
Our dinner experience was very special. We enjoyed every facet... Our server, DJ, was beyond excellent, friendly & extremely nice . Each time we are in the city, you can be sure to see us .. One small thing, we did not like, our brussel sprouts, they were 1 point from raw..Should be at least blanched for some tenderness..Thank you to Scott & his staff, especially to DJ. Bill & Leo, Ft. Laud., Fla.
44 & X never disappoints. Delicious food, great menu, and lively atmosphere.
Phenomenal dinner and service! This place is a gem. Love the huge windows and lively atmosphere. Our server David was super. My filet was perfectly cooked and a very generous portion. I was surprised at the prices considering the location and amount of great food we got. Wine menu is limited but a solid selection.
Overall, it was ok. The maitre d' (who may also be a manager or owner) seemed rushed and annoyed. I felt like I was disturbing him when inquiring about my reservation. I know this is standard policy for most places in NYC, but they wouldn't seat me until my full party had arrived, so I ended up having to wait outside for 30 minutes until everyone was physically there. The food is fine. Overpriced for what it is. My boyfriend was brought the wrong drink which curdled as it sat. The waiters were only basely attentive, not especially friendly. Nothing special. Overall impression -- mehhh. I wouldn't go back. Not for the price.
Also, re: Open Table's review system, I said I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend, but I still can't submit my review until I choose at least one item I would recommend this restaurant for. I selected "Great for Brunch" because I went there for brunch, but I would not go back for brunch.
Excellent food and service!!
Food delicious and nice attentive service. Would definitely recommend and go back.
