The staff were so friendly and helpful. They all went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The space is beautiful and the food was top notch. Definitely going back!
A great OpenTable find in hell's kitchen
The service was wonderful, funny, and energetic! The food was also just as great!
Overall fun and happy vibe. Food was decent, not great, but very reasonably priced. Servers were really nice.
Wonderful food and staff!! Always our place to go when in the city or with friends!! Highly recommend!
Crabbed stuff snapper will change your life 🙌🏻
Great place anytime!
Yummy food. delightful service. Casual, but well thought out decor. Ideal location for Playwrites Horizon or Signature Theater goers.
Food took a long time to come out. They were apologizing
Everything was good EXCEPT the entry which was horrible. I had lemon sole. Tasted like it went from the freezer to the microwave to my plate.
Overall my friend and I had a nice time at brunch. The service was very nice and attentive, however our food was basically uninspired and not great. We loved the little corn muffins on the table, but for some reason the rest of the meal had very little flavor. We both ordered omelettes which come with potatoes and both of those items were just passable. We did appreciate the kind attentive service, but we weren't impressed with the food at all.
This place never disappoints. Despite the casual atmosphere, menu always has inventive dishes cooked perfectly and served by a helpful friendly staff.
The food was magnificent. Also, the staff here is exemplary and professional -- and that is from the hosts to all of the wait staff - friendly, speedy and polite with just the right touch of fun sass. I enjoyed my meal very much.
The restaurant was so hot and uncomfortable we couldn’t wait to pay our check and get outside for a little fresh air!
Service was excellent. Attentive and knowledgeable servers. Shared an appetizer which was enough for 2. We each had a fish and vegetable dish which was more than we could finish. Friendly staff welcomed us and wished us a good night. Had a 5 o’clock reservation and got out in time for a 7’oclock show. Would definitely return
I love this place. Great food, great ambience and great service.
Trouble timing the meal. Main course came out too early.
Loved everything about this place ... outstanding food for a good value, attentive service and stylish ambiance without pretension. Well worth the extra walk from our Times Square hotel to get away from the chain and tourist trap restaurants and into a neighborhood for a more authentic NY experience. We dined for brunch and the omelet, blueberry pancakes and eggs Benedict were all terrific. Lots of fun cocktails as well.
This makes a great pre-theater choice! The food is well-prepared and high quality, with big portions. The pork is delicious, as are the steaks. They are also take appropriate precautions if you alert them of a food allergy (although it's a good idea to give them a head's up before you arrive).
Had a great time. GET THE GNOCCHI APPETIZER! ...It’s life-altering...
Our server, Ian, was great as well as the rest of the staff- from host to table attendant .
Great food drinks and dessert.
Great decor and location. Good service. Food was good, but I expected a little more for the price. Drinks were great but pricey.
Great food. Terrible waiter, totally incompetent. Another server took over for him and dinner was much better after that!
We settled for 44 1/2 when Sardi’s and La Maceria and Nino’s were all booked for dinner before a show. We were delighted with the menu. Decided on chopped salad (incredible) to start, and crab stuffed snapper (yummmmmm) and filet mignon (precisely cooked and buttery) for entrees. Blue cheese stuffed olive martinis for cocktails. Outstanding. A++. A little dark and crowded, but interesting space. Service was great until “over easy” disappeared and it took way too long to get our check. Husband went register to pay after waiting 20 minutes for waiter. Would recommend based on food, but service needs to stay on track.
I took a group of 8 to 441/2 and the table was ready- service incredibly attentive and food incredible. Three of the group had the filets and they were perfect, potatoes delightful. The rest of us had great seafood features. They have a killer stuffed snapper and great swordfish. Would go again! Environment is lovely as well.
Thought it was a great menu with a good selection to choose from for anyone on your guest list. The plating was perfect and the food was fantastic!
Pleasant and a great neighbourhood go to!
Stopped in on NYE and weren't sure what to expect. Had a fantastic (like really really good) meal, and it wasn't overly crowded. Great way to close out 2017 with my S/O. The service was excellent, and the drinks were tasty with the right amount of strength. It was a bit pricier than what we normally go for, but the food and service made it worth it, particularly for a special occasion.
Such a fun place to go for brunch. The wait staff was amazing and the overall experience was great!
Family trip for Christmas 😁
Red snapper stuffed with crab was excellent. My friends had steak frites and the duck, which also looked good from my perspective. Apparently the fries with the steak frites were kind of soggy, but otherwise the meal was great.
Our “be sure to always go to” restaurant every time we visit New York. The owners, Scott and Bruce, are the best and do an impressive job of delivering great food and drinks at a reasonable price for NYC. You can’t go wrong at 44 1/2 or the slightly more upscale 44 & 10 which is next door.
Best homemade lobster ravioli in the city. Orange vodka martini started the evening and warm autumn apple pie with gelato concluded it. Awesome experience.
This is a lovely place. IN the summer you can sit out on the patio, and even in the fall and winter there are heaters out there. Excellent service, and good food. A great theatre meal location away from the Time Square madness.
This place never disappoints for brunch!!!! So delicious!!!!!!!!
Delicious food, friendly and engaging staff, good atmosphere, positive vibe. Will definitely go back.
We had the best time, great food, drinks, ambiance and service.
$4.00 for a cup of tasteless coffee!!! Of course you don’t come to find out how much you will Be charged until you get the bill. My advice to others will be to skip the unreasonably expensive bad coffee!!!
Server was good, but the manager and the host were super rude and sassy. They originally stated that they would not be able to honor the reservation because they were having “issues” with reservations on open table. Very unprofessional. They didn’t even say bye or thanked us when we left Not sure if I’ll be back.
Service was disorganized. Lamb shank was average at best. Sat in garden area and it was cold. Very disappointing all around.
