We had a lovely meal but felt a bit rushed out at the end. It was a busy day but manager told us he was stressed about our table. We were there for 1.5 hours and had several rounds of drinks so we weren't loitering. Kind of off-putting at the end
Super friendly, wonderful staff. Delicious and nicely presented food. Warmly recommended!
Great food and efficient service. My companion said that the burger was the best ever!
Great spot for brunch before catching a show. Staff was attentive and gracious to our group including students. Food was excellent. I have been several times before and always leave knowing that I will be back.
My only complaint:
too dark making it too hard to read menu
I have been here before for birthday brunches, and it was great. This time I went for my birthday and my sister made a note on the reservation before we got there to provide a birthday dessert. At the end of the meal, sister asked for the dessert but they let us know the chef was on break. That part was understood, but my sister asked if the could just bring something out with a candle since a cake was not available. The waiter and chef seemed to be confused l we were not asking for much just something they already had, like ice cream or something. After long minutes explaining and attitudes, they finally brought out muffins.
This place never disappoints.......brunch is the best in HK
Terrible dining experience. Staff not professional. My fish was tough and raw and had to be sent back. Food had no flavor. Worst food at nyc restaurant I’ve ever had.
Great find and great food. Location was also great for pre-show dinner. We will come back!
This is my go to restaurant for brunch before a 2pm matinee. The food is delicious! Great service too!
Thought we made reservations at their sister restaurant two doors down. 441/2 was much more casual and not nearly as crowded. So, we would give it a try. Service was friendly and efficient enough. Food was very good but as soon as it was put before us, the bartender turned the music up and became annoyingly loud. For no reason! The place was less than half full. Management needs to get the sound level for dining under control. Everything was good to very good except the bartenders choice of atmosphere.
I made a reservation for my daughter and I to have Easter brunch there. My daughter is vegan and so when we asked if the chef could make the oatmeal without milk he said no. We were confused as to why he would not accommodate us. They flatly said no..Its like asking to not put cheese in the salad or dressing on the side.
We had to leave because of it and we were so bummed as we scrambled to find another place for our Easter brunch.
I would not recommend this place. It was a very simple request and it was just oatmeal!
We live in the neighborhood. 44 1/2 is a ‘go to’ restaurant for us: really well done in every way. Whether local or tourist I encourage you to go
The menu had many selections. The staff was pleasant and great service.
Had been a year since our last visit which was good. Food was nothing more than good. Expected more for the price and the restaurant. Service was poor even though the restaurant was empty and there seemed to be many people working. The explanation of the entrees was nonchalant and vague. Will not go back.
This restaurant never disappoints! Food, service, ambiance are always good.
Wonderful experience at one of my fav’s!
Very nice restaurant.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. They all went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The space is beautiful and the food was top notch. Definitely going back!
A great OpenTable find in hell's kitchen
The service was wonderful, funny, and energetic! The food was also just as great!
We were delighted with our first visit for Sunday brunch. Table was ready with our reservation (Highly recommend reservations). Excellent service, Food was great. We will be back.
Overall fun and happy vibe. Food was decent, not great, but very reasonably priced. Servers were really nice.
Wonderful food and staff!! Always our place to go when in the city or with friends!! Highly recommend!
Crabbed stuff snapper will change your life 🙌🏻
Great place anytime!
Yummy food. delightful service. Casual, but well thought out decor. Ideal location for Playwrites Horizon or Signature Theater goers.
Food took a long time to come out. They were apologizing
Everything was good EXCEPT the entry which was horrible. I had lemon sole. Tasted like it went from the freezer to the microwave to my plate.
Overall my friend and I had a nice time at brunch. The service was very nice and attentive, however our food was basically uninspired and not great. We loved the little corn muffins on the table, but for some reason the rest of the meal had very little flavor. We both ordered omelettes which come with potatoes and both of those items were just passable. We did appreciate the kind attentive service, but we weren't impressed with the food at all.
This place never disappoints. Despite the casual atmosphere, menu always has inventive dishes cooked perfectly and served by a helpful friendly staff.
The food was magnificent. Also, the staff here is exemplary and professional -- and that is from the hosts to all of the wait staff - friendly, speedy and polite with just the right touch of fun sass. I enjoyed my meal very much.
The restaurant was so hot and uncomfortable we couldn’t wait to pay our check and get outside for a little fresh air!
Service was excellent. Attentive and knowledgeable servers. Shared an appetizer which was enough for 2. We each had a fish and vegetable dish which was more than we could finish. Friendly staff welcomed us and wished us a good night. Had a 5 o’clock reservation and got out in time for a 7’oclock show. Would definitely return
I love this place. Great food, great ambience and great service.
Trouble timing the meal. Main course came out too early.
Loved everything about this place ... outstanding food for a good value, attentive service and stylish ambiance without pretension. Well worth the extra walk from our Times Square hotel to get away from the chain and tourist trap restaurants and into a neighborhood for a more authentic NY experience. We dined for brunch and the omelet, blueberry pancakes and eggs Benedict were all terrific. Lots of fun cocktails as well.
This makes a great pre-theater choice! The food is well-prepared and high quality, with big portions. The pork is delicious, as are the steaks. They are also take appropriate precautions if you alert them of a food allergy (although it's a good idea to give them a head's up before you arrive).
Had a great time. GET THE GNOCCHI APPETIZER! ...It’s life-altering...
Our server, Ian, was great as well as the rest of the staff- from host to table attendant .
Great food drinks and dessert.
