It was great as always. It was a little busy as everyone had been locked inside for 3 days because of snow. However our waitress was outstanding even though we were a party of six. The two couples we were with had never been to the restaurant but I can assure they will be back. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

Amazingly fresh oysters, the bacon wrapped scallops were melt in your mouth, and the homemade apple pie with rum sauce and vanilla ice cream blew us away!

had reservations at 7 for Sunday night. When we arrived, 5 minutes early, we were told we would have at least a 20 minute wait! Why make a reservation???

Got seated in a timely manner, the waitress was excellent, gave good recommendations, appetizer was great & the food was delicious. Was offered a birthday dessert, low noise (Sunday night reservation for 8 people at 5:00) would definitely recommend to friends, fun Place!🎉😀👍🏼

Love dining at 42nd Street! The food and atmosphere are always great. We stayed for live music which was fun but there was barely any space because of the bar tables . You couldnt dance and because of the area people banged into you trying to squeeze by. I wish they would move the tables, there are only 3 of them to make more room. You couldn’t order drinks in the space and it was just super crowded so we left early.

We informed you in advance this is a dual birthday celebration for 2 women, who both love & only once in blue moon get to enjoy eating a nice juicy lobster. Surprise, you no longer offer whole boiled lobster, offering up the lame excuse "the tanks keep breaking"! $35 for a half pound tail, which wait staff couldn't tell us if it was fresh or not. Arguably, the best meat of lobster is the "Claws". Appetizer Scallops were dry, however those within the meal were good, as were the oysters. We chose to order and share -Vs- each getting meals. No birthday recognition was aknowledged, (even after 1 of the women readily shared), a cupcake or something may have nice, especially after they'd learned of our tremendous disappointment. If you want oysters go, expect to pay, but 2 hours inland has value. Any other seafood - call me, I'll figure out a better meal, even if that means paying freight to airlift it in.

This place was awesome. The food and service were great. We got shrimp and scallops. My wife had oysters and I had the seafood bisque. Everything was great and worth the money.

We went here for New Years dinner before a concert. The environment was great. Very cute place. Our oysters were amazing. Unfortunately our entrees took forever and the salmon was burnt when we got it. They very nicely took it back and made a new one but by the time it arrived we were done with our other food and had to leave for the concert. We were offered free dessert but declined because we were in a hurry. No other accommodations were offered.

The food was okay - nothing special. Fish alittle overcooked. Service was fine but again nothing special. We probably won't return unless we were going to the oyster bar and for drinks.

I am from Raleign, NC and I always make 42 Street Ostryer Bar my selection especially on special occisans. Special occisans may be birthday, anniversary, and other special occisans. Not to forget the live band on the weekend.

My wife and I dined at the 42nd street oyster bar for the first time as we celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. The food was exquisite, the service was A-1, very clean, nice ambiance, upscale, and overall so so good! Now on our list of special places for date night.I have been raving to everyone I know about this experience and can hardly wait to go back.

Service and food were exceptional! This is our go to spot for celebrations and this visit did not disappoint. Thank you for accommodating my special request for a booth. It seems to help with my dads hearing to be slightly off the main floor and We all appreciated that. See you soon!

I love this place but..... Friday night is too busy for clams and oysters on the half shell. They were fresh but gritty and shell pieces in each piece.

We were a table of 4 going to PNC Arena for a show. Our res. was for 5p but arrived 4:40p. We were not allowed to sit until 5p when they officially open. Told to go to bar - ordered a drink but were called for a table so we had to settle up since we were not allowed to join two bills - not very customer - friendly. Ordered a variety tray of Oysters - raw. Phenomenal. Ordered a shrimp salad with mixed greens while another ordered the spinach salad with a request for the tuna on top. We both received spinach salads. She also ordered a bacon-wrapped scallop app that was delayed due to burning but eventually arrived. Otherwise, scallop pasta and cioppini were both delicious and blue cheese dressing on side salad was remarked as some of the best ever. Our waiter was phenomenal but I am sorry to say his name escapes me.
