419 West was opened to the public in May of 2002 by Roger Neel Jr. and Al Pollard, the same operators that started Corned Beef and Company and Frankie Rowland's Steak House. The building was remodeled to the current state with the addition of a perfect dome in the middle of the dining room, a hand built mahogany bar, two private dining rooms, and a state of the art "open" kitchen. The kitchen features a wood burning oven for our pizzas, and a charcoal grill seasoned with hickory chips, for our ½ Pound Certified Angus Beef hamburgers and St Louis Style Ribs.

The style of food is considered American with slight influences from the around the world and all over the United States. Whether you would like a multi course sit down dinner or are just stopping in for a hamburger or a pizza, we have menu items to suit your wants or needs. We would love the opportunity to serve you, so stop by to try one of our simple yet elegant dishes.

The food was good and the atmosphere was solid. However, it would have been nice if they offered a anniversary package. Also, the seating was torn.

The wait staff is so pleasant and the food is amazing. I just wish your hosts were not visibly on their cell phones at the host station.

Valentine's date... had a table reservation for 2. Finally seated after 30 minute wait. The server greeted us and continued to talk about how "crazy busy" it was and how frazzled she was - lots of excuses before we even ordered. Once our food finally arrived after 45 minutes, one entree was burnt and inedible. I cant believe they served it. We received no drink refills, had to ask for bread three times as wed waited.... it was the a bad experience. The server offered a box to take the burnt meal home. Heck no! And no, i wasnt paying for it either! While this wasn't our first time dining here (previous times were good) this may be our last time. Overrated, over priced, poorly managed.

Been here many times, never disappoints. Clean cut and professional staff, really good food and a nice atmosphere. Some may say it's pricey but you get what you pay for. Well worth it a go to restaurant.

First time there. Really enjoyed it. Staff was great keep glasses filled did not have to wait on anything very friendly. Steak was the best I have had in a long time. I will be going back again.

So a few things....on the positive the food and service have improved since our last visit. Great job, clearly management and owner have taken notice of these things. Negative side...this restaurant is in need of a moderate renovation. Our seat at booth had a giant tear, as did some other seats we noticed while being guided to our table. Additionally, there were massive amounts of water stains on the ceiling, as well as paint flaking off and parts of plaster just hanging about to fall into someone’s food and/or drink. Hoping some of these issues will be addressed and fixed before our next visit.
