Service was great. Pizza was a 4. Pasta was a 3.
May once have been a "Grande Dam" however has fallen. Decor is dated, food was over cooked, my pork chop was so dry needed water just to eat.
Great food and service. Quiet/nice atmosphere. Josh is a great waiter and ambassador for 419 West
Service started out good but after drinks and bread was served it took 35-40min to get our meal. When it did arrive, it wasn’t hot. On the salmon plate, the corn side was hot but the salmon was room temp. We try to eat local when we travel but we were disappointed in this experience.
5 star service all the way
help my lady friend get her drink the way she like it.food was good and hot,our table wasn't rush, wastress kept a smile all the time during her service to us.
This is the 2nd time I received an over charbroiled steak. My steak was medium and tasted like it was burnt. This was my 2nd try and now I’m done. It’s wasn’t worth it. The service was great but food leaves something to be desired. No need to complain because it was same as last time :(.
We enjoyed our meal and the service was exceptionally good! Josh is so attentive and has amazing tableside manner. We will definitely be back!
We have been there numerous times and this was the best service ever.
First time dining at this restaurant. The food was excellent. We enjoyed our evening and will likely go again sometime.
Our waiter was super sweet and attentive to our request. My husband was extremely impressed by how well his ribeye was prepared, perfection is actually the word he used. It was a slow evening, but a great time for us; and our first time.
Emily is a fantastic server. Great experience. Always made sure our drinks were filled and food was as we ordered.
The food was amazing. Porterhouse pork is delicious cooked medium. My wife had the mahi mahi and loved it.
Grilled seafood trio was very good.
An order of the pasta dish Cajun Shrimp arrived with three medium size shrimp. This was disappointing.
I went there for dinner before a class reunion. The parking lot was full so we had to park next door. Even though it was busy our service was excellent! The manager did come and apologize for some delay. I had salmon salad which was very good. The salmon was grilled and very tasty. The blue cheese dressing was exceptional!
My husband and I were visiting Roanoke for the weekend. We we're looking for somewhere to have sinner when we ran across 419 West. I looked them up on the internet to find out what time they closed because it was kind of late. Upon finding the restaurant on the Web I discovered a reservation was required. I made the reservation for 10:30pm on 07/27. My husband and I (both African-American) went into the restaurant intending to sit at the bar for drinks until our reservation time. We stood at the front door podium for about 10 minutes before finally walking out because no one would acknowledge our presence. The place was not very busy so we had no understanding as to why we were being so blatantly ignored. After looking around, we could only come to one conclusion.
Our food was excellent. Our waitress seemed to be rushing us through, however... She kept coming back before we ordered, while we just wanted to have a drink and talk. Then she seemed rushed to get us out of there and it was only 9-9:30.
Menu needs a makeover; a good place to eat if you don't have high expectations in terms of the food offerings. Service was very slow. Wine prices in terms of bottles are super high-priced. They need to try harder, in my opinion.
I ordered a ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. However, the potatoes and asparagus were cool which was unfortunate. The taste was good though. As for the restaurant it was dark and needs updating. Some of the wallpaper was coming off and stains on the ceiling making it feel unclean. I would suggest closing off the kitchen... it just adds to the noise. It was an okay experience but I would not recommend it to a friend.
Great place with great food and atmosphere..everything was great
Reserved booth 20- was not honored. This has happened several times.
Not at all impressed. I got the Wedge salad which had about a bottle dressing on it, husband got seafood, the scallops were not seared, way undercooked and mushy. I got the chicken Alfredo, it was swimming in so much sauce it was almost like soup. Our waitress was not very friendly, seemed like she hated being there. Will not be going back.
We went for Sunday Brunch for a birthday celebration. The wait staff was accommodating and friendly. Our meals were hot, fresh, and delicious. Mimosas were also pretty good. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. We will definitely go again!
The wait staff were very courteous and helpful. Other than that we had a mediocre meal at best. The booth seat was torn, the food (bbq ribs) was served with a gallon of sauce which covered up the fact that the 1/2 rack was actually 3 different sections. The meat was well cooked but tasted like a cheaper cut than I am used to. The coleslaw was in a small cup and did not seem like what a normal portion would be.
Was in town for a conference snd will definitely not be back to this restaurant.
Big disappointment and not the norm for this restaurant. We had reservations for 11:30 and were seated promptly as they were not very busy. Orders were taken, but then we waited a full hour for our food to arrive and it was fair at best. Simple egg, bacon and pancakes were cold, kale salad was wilted, fried oysters were not crispy as requested.
And, it wasn't just our table as the tables around us seemed to be having a similar experience.
Excellent ribs and glass of Malbec recommended by waiter Nash.
We ordered the steak and wood grilled scallops. The steak was cooked great, but had an overpowering charred taste thatvruined the dish and the scallop plate for $25 only came with two very small scallops and the dish was bland. On top of that, our waitress never came to ask us how our meal was or to fill our drinks, so we couldn't even comment on the experience. Very disappointed for what was supposed to be a top notch establishment.
We went for an anniversary dinner. The wine list is just OK. Noise level was loud with multiple graduation parties going on. My meal was fine however, my spouse ordered Shrimp and Grits. Had to be to worst in the world. Nothing like the menu. Was a creole red sauce (extra spicy) with 3 shrimp and no sausage. We had it replaced but that was not much better.
Not sure if we will return.
Very pleasant meal
The food was delicious no doubt. But the wait time to get our food coupled with the overpriced small portions turned me off. I really wanted to like it. But I can't recommend it to anyone unless you like paying more for smaller portions than everywhere else
Group of 10 in town for college graduation. Easy to find location. Menu options that worked for all - from salads to seafood to a cheeseburger. Everyone was happy with their food and the service was good. We were seated back by the kitchen which was a little noisy at times.
The food was delicious. It was very well seasoned and tasted refreshing. The domed ceiling echoed conversations around the room and made discussions difficult. It wasn't fun hearing everybody's intimate conversations.
We just had a wonderful meal here! Service was great as well. I couldn’t finished my meal, so they packed up my leftovers like I’ve never seen before! Everything was individually wrapped and covered and the whole meal was put in a sealed container. This was great since I’m here for my son’s graduation. Nothing leaked in my car or the hotel fridge. Now I have a prime rib lunch for tomorrow! I recommend it highly! Great wine list, too!
We had a nice experience- nothing outstanding but the food was good and our 3 year old had a good time!
Our reservation was honored as we were immediately seated even though the restaurant was very busy. Our waitress was very professional, friendly and courteous. Our entree did take longer to arrive than we would have liked, but when we got it, it was very good and well presented. Our only disappointment was when ordering desert, they were out of the two items we chose so we passed on desert.
Great food lots to choose from, great for dates, and family gatherings and meeting friends. Pricing is good
Our experience was great we had and awesome night the food was awesome and the waitess was very pleasant.we very visit again when we travel that way again
419 is just ok not stupendous. However Robin our server was amazing. All orders correct, just the right amount of checking in, pleasant and efficient. My main objection is it’s so dark. The place needs some brightening up.
Service was amazing. Food was fresh, out fast and delicious!
Lovely dining experience! Food was excellent and service was on the mark! Would highly recommend!
