Service was just ok and we ended up sitting next to a very loud patron. Food was ok. We ordered potato planks (which was listed as a side) and they brought them out 10 minutes before our main course.
We sat outside. No noise.
Very pleasant evening , salmon dinner was delicious.
Wait staff was very attentive.
The evening was nice! It was a relaxing experience with delicious food. My husband got the steak and crab legs and I got the crab legs. They come out steaming hot and cut in half so all we have to do is pull the crab meat out and enjoy it. We have been here several times and will be back.
Had great service. Worked with us to get us outdoor seating and early dining special.
We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. Seafood was fresh; great wine choices . Located in a great area we enjoyed the walk there and back. Would definitely return
Everyone was more than satisfied with the quality and portion of their meals. I wish there were better by the glass wine options. $15 for a Napa wine is not outrageous, but the selection was limited?
Picked this spot off of Open Table and soo glad we did!! Food-Awesome, Waiter -Awesome, Vibe-Awesome , Bar area seemed very nice but we didn’t sit there. Just overall Awesome
Good food and service. Only real negative is the time it takes to get through the outside street traffic.
Great location, excellent selection of local seafood and local cuisine. Service was attentive and courteous.
The service was great the evening was beautiful. The best part with the coconut cream pie. Never have I had anything like it before. It’s really worth the trip to the restaurant to have a slice
Waited over an hour to get our food
Great experience mostly due to our great waiter Erik.
The food was very good and the prices were reasonable.. but the service was not good. Our waiter had an edge and we found him to be very unpleasant. If we go there again, I would make sure we do not have him as our waiter again.
Great food! Had the special-- sunflower seed covered grouper with parsnip puree. It was amazing! Waiter recommended the sparkling Gruner Ventliner. All was fabulous!
A lovely restaurant where we have dined many times before, but they were off the last time we were there. We all believe it was because our server was not at all attentive. We sat for 35 minutes before he came to take our order and that was only because we finally waved at him. Our food was warm, not hot at all, and my husband had difficulty cutting his pork chop because the meat was so tough. We brought out of town guests with us, so the experience was rather embarrassing for my husband and me. I will have to think twice about returning.
A friend and I enjoyed a delicious meal at 400 Beach this past Monday evening. The service was good, and our meals (seafood combination grill and ahi tuna with soba noodles) were both excellent. Coupled with tasty cocktails, good dessert option and pleasant house music made for a very nice evening.
We visited 400 Beach Drive for a late brunch/lunch on a lovely winter day. We had been there before but had noticed that although the place seems very successful, both the quantity and the quality of the food had deteriorated.
You can't help but be impressed by the variety of items on the menu and the buffet offered on Sundays looks appealing. My husband availed himself of the buffet and I ordered blackened Mahi tacos from the menu. I went to the buffet with him just to see what was available. For the price, there is a nice selection. The problem was with the quality of what he chose to eat. We love breakfast pastries but these were obviously not house made and resembled items that come in cellophane, although these were jumbled in a basket. There was a decent, if overdressed Caesar salad, a nice bowl of fruit, a pasta salad and a small, and not very interesting selection of cheese cubes. The blintzes were good, although extremely sweet. The hot dishes that he tried were overcooked and the sauces were characterless. The seafood chili was thin but at least had some spices in it. The cold shrimp was so overcooked and tough as to be inedible. My husband rarely eats meat and isn't crazy about omelets so we cannot comment on the quality of these offerings. The chocolate ganache on the dessert table was definitely the highlight of the buffet.
I ordered the fish tacos many times in the past. There are two large tacos in an order. The amount of fish in the tacos was small. The fish was overcooked and under spiced. I flagged down our very sweet but overworked waitress and asked for some hot sauce, which was delivered promptly. The taco had a good amount of avocado and a small amount of lettuce. There was a tiny container of mango salsa, which provided a nice contrast of both texture and flavors. The accompanying potato planks were nicely fried, not greasy but a bit salty for my taste. All in all, not an experience we will repeat soon.
Food was great, which is not always the case in restaurants in New Years Eve. Our waiter, Z, did a great job, from serving to getting party hats and horns for us! We finished our dinner with just enough time to walk through the beautiful park to see the midnight fireworks.
Good service, nice atmosphere, great location. Horrible food. Salad was slimey, vegetables overcooked, rice bland, and seafood bland.
Excellent restaurant food unbelievable, lemon drop martini’s the best. Well worth taking your time to visit this restaurant.
This was our first time trying the brunch. There was a wide variety of food and everything I tried was delicious. There is something for everyone. There were some vegetarian options with the salads, pastries and steamed vegetables. Our server was very attentive and constantly checking to see if we we’re doing ok. Mimosas are an additional charge. Complimentary valet parking is available, however when we arrived (on time for our reservation) no attendant was on duty yet. We waited a little bit, but no one showed up. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I will go again.
Ok, not amazing. Ordered, got told last minute no oysters but too late into the meal so was put on spot to choose differently and it was ok, nothing amazing, but not bad.
We had a wonderful time. Our server Evan was fantastic.
Dined outside on nice evening. Nice location, food good (not great), service excellent. Overall highly recommend for seafood.
Our favorite place to take visitors in downtown St Pete. Outdoor dining is the best option as it can be noisy inside. Always good service and food.
Used to visit more often when living in St. Petersburg. Since moving to Dunedin don't get in as often but for special occasions this is the place. Be it Sunday Brunch or a casual dinner, you won't be disappointed. The free parking around the corner is a nice plus!
Everyone at 400 Beach Seafood & Tap House made our anniversary dinner special. That’s why this was the 4th year in a row we celebrated our Anniversary there. We’ll see you again next year!
Food was as usual very good. Our server (John) was top notch.
Great service, food, atmosphere and location. Will definitely recommend. Sunday brunch was fabulous.
We had a great dinner..so close to the waterfront and the downtown square..really cute..food was great and overall atmosphere was fun
Superb in every way. Great meal in a relaxed, modern atmosphere. Waiter was attentive, but not intrusive— gave us ample time to visit between drinks, apps, dinner. The decor is very Florida with paintings from local artists, sea videos on screens and sculptures, but not kitchey; very classy. I found the price reasonable, especially considering the elevated food. This was our second time here, and I’d consider it the best seafood restaurant in Pinellas County; at least among the many we’ve tried so far. We will definitely return, and this is the place we will recommend to our friends from out of town as a place to meet for dinner.
There were four in our party. We enjoyed every bite. I did not like the pomegranate martini they served but I drank it regardless. I did advise my waiter afterwards. The service was good but could have been better however many holiday parties were there. The waiter did mess up our checks. Two to each check and he used my card for theirs and vice versa. Didn't understand how but he finally got it corrected. We shall return. One thing we didn't appreciate. I had made on line reservations for four. Table only. Two with walkers and wanted window seat. Got there, they take us to a booth. When we tell them again about our reservation they leave us and have us go towards the back. No, we reserved window seats. Nothing available! When you are dealing with elderly people, standing is not good nor is walking from one location to the other. Not getting the reservation you requested was sad. It was our Christmas time together before they leave and they so wanted to see the lights from the park. We should have been notified that our reservation could not be honored.
Great service! Great Dirty Martini! Thanks again Scott!
Our party of four overall enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately, my husband was looking forward to their meatloaf early bird dinner only to be told after 10 minutes that there was no meatloaf ready ! How do you not have your menu items not ready ?
We had a reservation, arrived on time and were seated promptly. Server was polite but a little scattered. Ordered and waiting approx. 60 mins for the entrée. Server kept saying it was being plated. When my dinner arrived, it was incorrect. I ordered blackened mahi. It had no sign of blackening. Another server stopped at the table and agreed it was not blackened mahi. Tried a bite, thought maybe it was just grilled and I found it to be cold and dry from being overcooked. Stopped in the restroom before leaving...found the restroom to be very dirty with towel and water on the floor. I want hoping to enjoy a great piece of fish...Beach Seafood? Now with the condition of the restrooms, I question the cleanliness on the kitchen. Too many other great restaurants in St Pete...will not return to 400 Beach
Manager of restaurant was very visible. Helping everywhere and talking to patrons during a very busy time. Food was excellent. Had a great meal and experience.
Lovely, airy, bright - a very happy place. Good food, good prices, nice ambience. Great value at the early bird.
Waitress was great but there were other waitresses just standing around gossiping and laughing. I would like to see them keeping busy and asking if anyone needs help. It’s a little unsettling to see employees doing nothing when so much could be done
Wonderful food, excellent service from Greg our waiter. The setting was amazing.
Dinner with friends. We ate at the bar and everything was fabulous!!! Thank you!
