3Vinos Ratings and Reviews
The dining experience was a thumbs down. The service was terrible. The initial server was nice, kind and informative, but whomever served us subsequently was rude, bad-mannered and even rolled his eyes after my guest kindly told him she had asked for water with no ice. We decided to oversee his lack of respectfulness and professionalism. Then the food came and it was not as good as it has been in the past. It was cold and the chumichurri was not fresh and had a weird taste. However, the drinks is what kept us happy and since we were celebrating a birthday, we decided not to complain at the moment and just enjoy eachother's company and music. The music was great - live band. After dinner we decided to get bottle service at the lounge. The service there was also terrible. While the waitress was nice, we had to keep asking the bussers to call her to our reserved area for service. At one point my some of my guests waited 1 1/2 hours for a drink. I do not blame her but management, as I think they had her serving all the bottle service areas and there are quite a few. The music was great which was a live salsa band, and the DJ was also good. The ambiance is very nice at this place and that is the main reason I decided to have a celebration here. However, service and food need improvement as the quality has diminished from that in the past. Also, I made a special request on Open Table to have "Happy Birthday" sung.......it never happened.
We've enjoyed the 3 times we've gone. However, even though I made a reservation, I had to somewhat fight to get
the table/area I had requested ahead of time. Our server helped us with the situation and therefore salvaging the evening for us. We had a great time after that. Thank you Eric for your help!
3Vinos was an awkward place. I thought we were going to a regular restaurant. I saw on their website that they have music on certain nights. So I figured since it was mother's day that they would have music. But it was not the way I would have expected. We arrived early because traffic was not as bad as I anticipated. So I figured we would go in and have a drinks before dinner. When we arrived a lady at the door was charging to go in. I told her we had dinner reservations and she said she had not been given any list and was told to charge at the door. She eventually let us in. They were in the middle of salsa lessons and no table were set up for dinner. They got us a table and we ordered drinks. Eventually they started to set up a small buffet and told us we could eat that for $8/plate/trip to the buffet or order off the menu. It was best to eat the buffet based on the price. The food was good. The whole setting was strange. So I would only recommend it with an explanation of what to expect.
Our table wobbled waiter found a card board or something to keep it leveled, yet there was
lots of other tables open, table to close to the actual bar people bumped me walking by, as
it was Valentines you expect some decorations or like to celebrate very dry atmosphere not
fun at all, lacks good vibes, I think they are not trained to well.
My boyfriend and I made reservations and got there early. It appeared there was a large private party. Er had to wait ten minutes to be acknowledged only for the hostess to never return and sit us down. Two more parties walked in after and also had to wait. We ended up leaving after 20 minutes of just standing there. If there was such a party, they should have closed the location. This is the second bad experience for this place in less a year. We will never come back
From the start of making a reservation I got the run around and major attitude. They use an answering service in which you have to play phone tag. The reservation was made a week in advance. I was not able to confirm with a live person, Christina, until the day of my party. I reserved a 10 seater with bottle service to watch a friends band, Bongo Funk, this was the only reason for being there. When we arrived we were showed our section. Not what I was promised. Christina clearly suggested the middle section because the smaller space was high traffic and much smaller for our 10 people. I informed the hostess of this and she called Christina and switched us to the larger section. Turns out we were double booked. We had to move, because of the other party. The smaller space would not fit our guests so we were going to leave. They did offer to refund my $180.00 that I had to pay to reserve the table and comp our drinks, $90.00. We had a birthday girl with us and this totally ruined our night. Our friends were playing in the band as I mention before, Bongo Funk, which were amazing but we missed out on the show due to 3 Vinos lack of professionalism and rude behavior from the beginning. I got a call today that they were only refunding the difference of our drinks and the $180. They have no manager on duty and I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was a nightmare night. Thanks 3 Vinos. I better get my refund. Oh ya in addition they list the place as "fine dining" so why are their seats riddled with duck tape to patch the holes? They were out of Lagunitas the only IPA they had on a busy holiday weekend. Who doesn't stock up on a holiday weekend. It was only Friday.
This was my third time going for brunch at 3vinos. They got it totally wrong this time, like they weren't prepared for the amount of people that rsvp'd. They were understaffed, I had to go to the bar to get water and mimosas, not a single person came to our table. They were low on food, I kept going back to see if they refilled but they never did. Even desserts were out. I had to track down someone to get my check. It was not worth the money spent for brunch and I've tried contacting management via phone and email and no one has responded.
The brunch is actually poor, taste of the food is not good at all, the ropa vieja tastes like fajistas, everything has a bell pepper taste, tha chile rellenos were pretty bad, the arroz con pollo had a very bad taste, the sausage links were overcooked, on the plus side the service was good they were very attentive
Would not return for food. I would definitely return to listen to music the only thing is I wish they had more sitting in the dance area. We were sitting in the other room. When we arrived we looked at the menu was not impressed with anything offered. So we only ordered appetizers. Waiter was great until we only ordered appetizers, after that we didn't see him much. I guess he figured he wasn't going to get a big tip since we weren't ordering dinner after all. Music was great, I think the band was Sangria.
A week advance reservation and confirmation was not recognized neither respected.
After arriving half hour ahead of time the hostess mentioned that there was no reservation on record. Finally and due to our insistence and early hour, we were given a table to eat but she mentioned there was no assurance of a table or sitting in the area during the New Year's party. After eating, we moved to the entertainment area of the restaurant just to be informed we had to move out because the space was already reserved by some body else. After observing all the empty tables around the dance area we requested to have an alternative location at any cost, but it was ignored. The manager suggestion of sitting on the bar counter was out of the question due to the presence of an elderly lady in our party.
A decision was made the abandon the 3-Vinos restaurant and search for another place where to spend the rest of the evening...however, due to the late time and cold weather, waiting in line at another location was not advisable....so, the final decision was to go home and forget this disastrous New Years' family reunion.
Definitely we will never patronize this restaurant as long as we live in the area, neither recommend to any body else.
It was my first time dining at 3 Vinos. The ambiance was simply fantastic and welcoming. The servers were really attentive and friendly. Love the live music by Soto! I had seen these awesome videos of their performances, but seeing them live was something else. Their energy was everywhere with their badass funk and R&B, and many of their patrons were loyal fans. It was so much fun! Every downtown needs a safe, cozy watering hole like this.
