3rd & Ferry Fish Market
1st time there. Really enjoyed. Amanda was great. Would definitely request upstairs IR basement as the noise level on the main floor is loud.
Delicious dinner! Great value! Basement area was a bit gloomy and the service was a little slow but otherwise we will happily return.
On a quieter Tuesday night, was the perfect place to go fill up on quality tastey food. Ambiance is relaxed, service attentive, knowledgeable and just right. Mignonette sauces served with the oysters are genius. Tennessee hot shrimp is a must try.
It was a very nice atmosphere. The food was reasonably priced and the servers were happy to be there. The interior design of the restaurant was exquisite and made you think you were in New York City.
Salty, overcooked food. Raw clams had to be yanked from shell. Soup served lukewarm. Entree was burnt and tasteless. Appetizers arrived in seconds, entree took 40 minutes. waited on by a bartender. Table was wobbly. This was my second and last try.
My wife and I have been to this restaurant several times. We are never disappointed. The service is quick and accurate. The food is why we go there and it continues to be delightful. This restaurant is reason you go out to eat.
We dined here for Mother’s Day and it was packed and service took a bit long but it was expected, our server was Jesus very nice young man he took care of us fast as he could and he was working tables on two floors so thumbs up to him.
All 7 patrons were attended to expeditiously and served their meals with care and professional attentiveness. All meals were aggressively devoured attesting to the delicious nature of the array of choices selected. From raw bar ,to surf and turf,to king crab,to the 1 pound lobster tail all the entrees and appetizers were sumptuous. An enjoyable experience was had by all.
Great food and great service. I had the pan seared scallops, which were excellent.
The food was excellent. Great menu selection. Loved the raw bar.
We loved our visit to 3rd. Heather was great. We needed to delay our reservation. Hostess was also very sweet and didn’t pressure us to sit right away. Our server Amy was very personable and even when she missed a few things she was very nice and sincere. She really was great. Also food runners were really good. Fast, pleasant and accommodating.
Our only issue was with drink service. The bar was empty except for two people when we arrived. The bar tender seemed rushed and came and went without much interaction, not very attentive. Drinks when we were seated also took a very long tine. Our appetizers came before two lagers. And when told by Amy that the bar was backed up that’s why the drinks weren’t served yet, we could see from upstairs that the bar really didn’t have many patrons.
All in all a wonderful lunch. And we will certainly return and recommend to others still.
We have not had much luck with the service at this restaurant. We decided to try it once again for lunch and arrived at 12:15. It was a beautiful day, so we asked to be seated outside. We were only the second table out of 8 tables to be seated outside, and the inside was not busy at all. Our waitress came after about 5 minutes to pour us water, but there were no glasses on the table, so she went and got them. Then she took our drink order - I asked for unsweetened iced tea. It took her about another 5 minutes to come back with the tea; she put the tea down and immediately turned around and left, not bringing any sweetener nor asking if I even wanted it. Luckily, I bring my own, but she didn't know that. She came back after yet another 5 minutes to take our order. After taking our order, three more couples were seated outside near us, but had a different waitress. We sat and watched while the other parties who were seated well after us received numerous water refills and then their food. When we had not received our .food, nor seen our waitress again by 1:05 P.M., almost an hour after being seated, my husband went inside to speak with the manager. The manager was very apologetic, and our food arrived shortly thereafter. We were offered a drink or a dessert for our troubles. Can't say that was enough to entice me to return
Great food and atmosphere. Service was fantastic as well.
Delicious as always!!
Excellent food! Would recommend to anyone who wants great seafood at a decent value.
We always enjoy dining at 3rd & Ferry. The food was excellent, our waitress Sarah was very cheery, she made sure we had a good evening. Thanks , we will be back !
Delish as always
Food and service was terrific!! We were new to trying oysters and our server was very helpful. Fresh and delicious food.
As always, our food was sooooo good. This is our favorite restaurant to eat in.
We had an early reservation at 5:00 and were walked through an almost completely unoccupied first floor, up the stairs past another ten empty tables, to the most remote spot in the restaurant. It wasn't until 6:00 that the place finally started to fill up. We didn't appreciate being seated in the least desirable location while most of the restaurant remained empty for a full hour. This really put a damper on our experience. Also, because of our distance from the kitchen, our entire party was never served at the same time. If we ever return here I would insist on a table downstairs, especially when the place is empty at the time.
consistently delicious and warm reception!!! I recommend this place.
The food was outstanding . We are never disappointed by the quality of the food. I love the upstairs dining , but do not like the ambiance of the downstairs dining . It is crowded and loud. We had requested a table upstairs . We called a few days again to confirm and were told we had a table for upstairs . Unfortunately , this was not honored . I would not have chosen this restaurant if I had known. Very disappointed with the hostesss and her response that we should have called ahead, because we did.
I have been to 3rd & Ferry many, may times since they opened. I always bring friend there who enjoy...esp. lobster. The past Easter Sunday, we were a party of six people, three ordering the lobster roll, which is a signature dish.
The lobster rolls were tremendously disappointing. Usually the lobster meat is a fair amount on a croissant. This time, three of us ordered it and no where near what it has been like in the past. The croissant was practically FLAT when closed! This has never happened before.
The most discouraging aspect of 3rd & Ferry is the erratic preparation of the cuisine. I have heard this from other local friends as well. Sometimes, good--sometimes not so good.
So ,based on Sunday's experience, (and one prior) I would not recommend 3rd & Ferry for fear it would be an off day due to previously described inconsistencies.
We enjoyed dinner at 3rd and ferry tremendously. Our waiter was fantastic the food excellent....king crab legs the best I've ever had.
Has the feel of a big city fish market. Food was very good. Service was attentive and efficient.
Never disappoints. I had one of the specials and they let others customize their orders
Very consistent food, drinks, and service. Love coming here.
As always, the food was fantastic. Our server was very personable and helpful in explaining some dishes and helping with our choices. We will definitely return!!
Food was excellent, but service was very slow and took a while to get our appetizers and entrees.
Bar service very slow. Waited longer then should have for drinks, but they compensated my glass of wine,
Food was delicious and we love the vibe!
Lobster was a bit tasteless but that’s the lobsters fault. The scallops and salmon were great!
Foods was terrific, Malcom our waiter was spot on with his service. Overall a great time was had
We really enjoyed the wide variety of fish/seafood on the menu. Like that it can be prepared with many options. Great pricing with generous portion size. Prompt service. Love the vibe in this restaurant and we’ll definitely be back
First time here and definitely not the last. Excellent meal. Wonderful server. Perfect start to a perfect evening.
Average food at best, with a rather steep price. My specialty cocktail had little taste and even less alcohol.
WE had dinner and drinks. Three out of the four people had the mixed drinks, a mojito, a specialty house drink, and a manhattan. Out of the three the manhattan was OK. A second mojito was brought, free of charge after it was mentioned that the first was not "that good". The speciality drink was very weak but it was not mentioned to the wait staff.Out of the meals the Pan Seared scallops and the combination plate were fine. The cream sauce on the Drunken Mussels was considered heavy and the manchego cheese seemed to overwhelm the plate. One of the patrons had asked the waiter if the lobster meat in the lobster could be heated. Unfortunately it was not the person who actually ordered the lobster. Her lobster was heated and she found the combination on the heated lobster and aioli unappetizing Also the plate was unbalanced. It consisted of a Spoonful of coleslaw and an overwhelming amount of french fries. It was not mentioned because of the already comment about the drinks and also wait staff had accidentally splashed
bernaise sauce on one of our jackets. We were ready to leave.
Service was slow. Drink was bad I ordered a different one and the server didn't even ask me why or if the first was ok. Brought a piece of cake for the birthday girl when half the party was in the restroom. Food was just average, nothing special.
Felt very comfortable, food was very good. I don't understand why Happy Hours are only available at the bar though.
